Had a bad experience at a dealership, went to Stanwood automotive for a second opinion. The people there were very courteous and respectful, had a quick estimate of the repair cost, and the job was done quickly. Had a little problem after the repairs they resolve the problem quickly and at no cost to me. Highly recommend them for engine repairs.

I have a 25 yr old Oldsmobile and a few things needed fixing. Despite problems with the drivers window for many years . I don’t know what they did to this but it was magic. Apparently they couldn’t get a new regulator, but they did something so it is almost functioning like new. I needed a new pump for the windshield washer pump which they replaced at a very reasonable price. I was referred to them from another shop. I am extremely happy and satisfied. The timing was importing me and they accommodated me. They were extremely helpful and professional. Hope I won’t need to go back in the near future but I really am confideyin them. Bill and Jeff were great and a pleasure to deal with.

I recently heard a knocking sound underneath the car when I put it in reverse and feared the worst. Both Google and YouTube told me this was an early sign of a transmission issue, which was likely for my vehicle's make, age, and mileage. Jeff and his team saw me without an appointment and put it on a lift. A stupid piece of scrap metal debris was lodged in the undercarriage and needed to be removed. I was in and out in 10 minutes. They could've told me it was a broken rotary piston, suspension hook, Johnson rod, or combobulator (all fake parts) and I wouldn't have known. I value their honesty and professionalism and will continue to bring my vehicles there.

Jeff and the crew here have done a fantastic job on my car and every one that I have sent to them. Service has always been quick and on time. I've done 2 transmission swap outs and timing belt service with all the trimmings on a 300ZX and have spent less than 4 grand for everything over the years. My car only goes to them for oil changes and has never had any problems from any work I have received in the pass. Now this is not a big ship and they do a good amount of work. Parking is premium so make sure you make an appointment by calling or online or you might not have space to even park. Just be warned. I'm sure they can accommodate emergency dropoffs but they can get busy. Odd thing about this shop is that every time I'm there, customers come in and sit and talk about more than their vehicle. They seem to really get to know their customers by name and gives off a vibe of everyone is part of the family there. Y'all have to see it for yourself.

Jeff and the guys at Sandalwood Car Care have had my 2010 F-150 since I bought it used in 2020. This is a special truck to me because I got it for a great deal, it was well maintained, and it had super low miles. They have been the only mechanics to service my truck since the first day I brought it to them. They always keep it real and never try to upsell me. Some issues cant be totally diagnosed in one visit and they keep it fair with me if I am coming back for a reoccurring issue. Its an old truck. Thanks for keeping my loyalty and keeping my truck going. I would love to pass the truck to my kid in a few years so I hope to continue the good business. Thanks Sandalwood.

Terrible Experience - Avoid this Mechanic Shop! I recently had an awful experience at this mechanic shop in Jacksonville. I was driving from New York to Orlando and noticed a strong vibration in my front right tire when I reached Jacksonville. I suspected it might be a wheel alignment issue due to hitting a pothole a few miles back. Upon arrival, they quoted me $180 for a wheel alignment, which seemed expensive, but I agreed. However, after a mere 5-minute inspection, they informed me that they couldn't align the wheels because the control arms were "extremely rusty" and couldn't be adjusted. They said the control arms needed to be replaced and quoted me $580 for labor alone, not including the cost of parts, which would take several days to arrive. Naturally, I declined the service. However, they still charged me $55 for a "diagnostic" which consisted of taking a few photos of my car, seemingly to find other issues to charge me for. I refused all their recommendations. Once I got home to Orlando, I took a look under my car. The so-called "extreme rust" on the control arms came right off with a bit of WD-40, and I could move them easily by hand. The actual problem wasn't the control arms at all, but a seized front right brake caliper. My son and I bought a new caliper for $80 at AutoZone and replaced it ourselves in 15 minutes. We bled the brakes, replaced the brake fluid, and the problem was solved. I strongly advise against going to this shop. They seem more interested in squeezing money out of their customers than actually fixing their cars.

This place is legit. Great reservation process... got my CTS in the shop and done on time, and at a very fair price. Also did a courtesy inspection on my car while they were at it. Top notch service. I'll be doing more business with these guys for sure.
