I've been a loyal customer for 7 years with three vehicles only to be extorted for an extremely amount of money to change door handles and add w4 to the track of my sliding door. I had asked for an estimate before giving my car which I was told no estimate could be provided. I had asked again for an estimate not to hold them accountable but to get a rough idea. I was advised no estimate could be given because I've been a loyal customer for 7 years. I did give the keys to the auto shop only to be told 2 hrs later. that is going to cost $900 which I respectively declined. Then was told it was going to cost $125 just for the diagnostics. It would have been informative information to give the customer what it would have cost for diagnostics because I might have just declined up front or even what parts could be used and the cost of those. Unfortunately the manager could not see through the forest, especially with me being a repeat customer continue to go back and forth with me until he decided to just for me to pick up the car. He did apologize upon picking up the car which I thanked him. Unfortunately, this whole situation could have been handled differently by simply just telling me that an approximate estimate of the diagnostic that it could cost. Take your car at your own risk

Finally found a car repair shop we can trust! Took in our older, high mileage Ford van due to some steering issues, they were very honest about what the minor issue was and that it didn’t need work done. Even though they took time to check it out twice, they didn’t charge us for it. Will definitely use them when it does need work in the future!

We have been bringing all of our cars to Sanford for a number of years. They always do a great job, efficiently taking care of any problems we’ve been having or for regular maintenance. They are highly recommended!

Brought in my 2015 Toyota Camry for an AC compressor replacement. They quoted and said they were going to put a Denso compressor in. They instead put a UAC compressor in without letting me know. Nothing wrong with UAC but it's not a Denso. Didn't even tell me until I checked it and went in and asked them about it. Gave me the typical run around.

Fantastic. A quicky oil change place was supposed to replace my differential fluid and it seems they drained it but did not replace it. My diff was soon destroyed and I was stuck without a vehicle until Sanford repaired the truck much quicker than the dealership could do it and for a much better price. The owner was straightforward with me and the mechanic clearly cared about doing good work. I would trust my truck with Sanford Auto Service anytime. 5 Stars!

I took my car in about a year ago because the air conditioner wasn’t working. The price was fair and we haven’t had any problems since. I like that these guys are all business and got the job done and let the job speak for itself. Should we stumble upon more car problems, I know I can trust this place.

I’ve been using this shop for a few years now and I keep coming back because I have full trust in them and have always received an honest answer on my car that is at 101,000 miles. Even the times I shop around they seem to be the most reasonable.

Do not take your car here they did not honor their labour / parts when my vehicle started leaking after 2 weeks again they did a simple job as a valve cover gasket! and the so call manager didn't want to honor their warranty never again will go there.

I have used Sanford Auto Team for several services on my 2016 Chevy Traverse. I have just over 180K miles on my car. I really like this vehicle! I was thinking about getting a new car but now is not the time, they are too expensive and hard to get exactly what you want in a car. I had a few service issues and discussed them with Tracy.He gave me an estimare and he helped me determine to fix the issues and wait on a new car purchase. He also said he would inspect and let me know if any other issues show that could change my mind. Nothing else was needed. Repairs done as estimated. I've taken my Ford Edge to Sanford several times and it is a top notch mechanic shop. I had my radiator fan and thermostat replaced, as well as the blower motor for my AC. What other people have said in reviews is the truth. The folks here are true old school mechanics, not the type to just hook up a diagnostic then choose the most expensive ,possibly unnecessary, repair When I first brought my car in ,and it was having intermittent issues with overheating, Tracy, the shop manager, told me they hadn't found any specific problem although it could be a stuck thermostat. He had one of the technicians out driving it to see what they could discover. Being in a rush as usual, I told him I could come pick it up then, but he kindly suggested I let them keep it a while longer because he really wanted to get to the bottom of the issue and he would hate for me to be out somewhere and get stranded if it were to break down again. This shop actually cares about its customers. When I picked it up later that day, I waited for the typical $100 diagnostic fee or some other fee I usually get charged at other places, but they didn't charge me a dime. Recently the radiator fan was failing, I left my car there overnight and left keys in the night dropbox with a note and by 10:30 this morning they had the fan assembly replaced under warranty. Again, no charge to me for anything. The repairs I have had done there were not the cheapest in town, but Tracy and his team are assuredly doing their best to keep you from paying unnecessary costs. There is no upselliing here. No sneaky stuff going on. This is a trustworthy mechanic crew and shop. Especially as a female, it's quite likely i have been taken advantage of at other mechanic shops at one time or another. The integrity of this place and the staff there is worth its weight in gold. They are also affiliated with NAPA auto parts, so you won't be waiting excessively for them to get a part in. It's in a nice pleasant location in Castle Hills. (If you don't know the area well, just be advised to drive the speed limit, as I've heard the local law enforcement is generous with traffic tickets.) I'm off to a busy day on the roads now thanks to Tracy and his crew at Sanford. Even driving in a record breaking heat wave, I trust that my car and I are in good hands.

Just called for info on my 1996 Buick. Sam answered didn't ask me a question right of the bat said "gonna take 6 months.gonna cost you $8000. to $9000. I felt like he didn't want my business or he didn't feel like working. First impressions say alot!! Sanford Automotive very unprofessional.

My 82 year old mother and husband are traveling back from North Carolina to Arizona. The transmission goes out in San Antonio. She doesn't know where to go or what to do. She calls me and we have the life360 app. I was able to locate her and pin point the nearest car services. I call Sanford Auto Service, explain the situation and Tracy waited for them to towed. Next thing I know Tracy calls me and tells me has my mother the truck and trailer. He has setup them up with water and electric and will start working on the truck on monday. How Amazing to come across people who care and take care of strangers. An autoshop who goes out of their way and beyond to help others. I can't say enough. God Bless them

Not only did they charge almost twice what my regular mechanic would (I was out of town when it broke down), it WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE if they had pointed out that the hose connecting my radiator to my engine had fallen off. The radiator that is located directly next to the starter they were working on. The next mechanic I went to saw the issue before I even had a chance to explain what had happened, albeit too late to do anything about it. Just payed a bunch of money for a now junked car. Honestly, I don't see how I could've even gotten the truck to this place in the first place without the engine overheating, so it seems awfully suspicious that the hose was off. Would not recommend this place. Edit: forgot to mention that Tracy lied about how the bill was calculated over the phone, twice.

After taking my 90 yr. old fathers Suburban to Tracy 3 times, still did not fix the oil leak. Asked for my dads $800 back and Tracy refused..Got a Call from Steve, the Owner, and took my Dads suburban to his other shop and the oil leak was fixed. I really appreciated being able to get it fixed properly.
