Came here last year to change my catalytic converter. They are friendly, honest, and prices are fair. They wrapped my new catalytic converter with a metal wire to deter theft and didn’t charge me extra for it. They are now my mechanic shop and would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy shop.

This shop is a rip-off, so I took my car for an estimate. Overcharge me. Did a terrible job on the body work and raised the price on me. Had a kid from high school doing the work on it. I paid for experience work. I had to get the automobile bar association involved. He wants me to pay him on work that wasn't approved. Now he's trying to keep my car. It's been there for 10 months, and it's still not done. He doesn't know what's he's doing, put bondo on my car, and didn't sand it but painted over it. I took him to court, and he returned my car back in pieces. Missing a lot of parts. My car is worse than when I took it there. If there are other people who have been screwed by this shop, please report him to the automobile bar association.

10 stars for Antonio. Was referred by some family to come here, I called, took my car in today and Antonio ran diagnostics quickly. Left my car, he called to update me, let me know price upfront, and was super kind, professional and genuine. I didn’t feel overcharged and felt he was very knowledgeable and honest. Got it all done in 1 day! Amazing. So grateful, would highly recommend to everyone.

Kudos to Antonio for professional work and exceptional customer service. We were referred to Antonio when we had problems getting a 1998 Camry smogged. The work was done well, and we passed, but the next time we encountered another challenge. Antonio was very responsive, identifying and correcting the problem but, you car buffs know, 1997-99 vehicle computer systems give smog technicians fits. Antonio was great. We finally got the computer system registering again, and our faithful Camry passed!! I highly recommend SC Muffler, and Antonio, for their auto service. They know what they're doing and stick with you til it's done.

I am a recently medically retired disabled U.S. Army Master Sergeant and I am writing this review on behalf of Santa Clara Muffler and specifically, a truly outstanding mechanic...Antonio, who I was personally referred to after dropping by and speaking to Mr. Lombardi at his auto repair shop...also located in Santa Clara, CA. As he did not work on exhaust systems...after explaining my situation, he sent me to Antonio...looking me in the eye and saying that he was someone that I could trust. To give everyone an idea of the circumstances, I was just in town for just three days on my way north to look for a new place to live after having to give up my apartment in Costa Mesa, CA on Christmas Eve of all nights due to ongoing retirement pay issues. Suffice it to say, to have to deal with all of these additional unexpected vehicle problems too...was obviously very difficult timing to say the least and left me lacking both time...and money. I was desperate to find an honest, ethical, hard-working, and skilled mechanic who could fix the several problems that I discovered unfortunately, only after leaving my place several hours to the south the day before. Problems included my heater malfunctioning, the vehicle battery not holding a charge, the muffler rattling...and, one of the brake lines needing to be re-fastened to the undercarriage of the vehicle that had somehow managed to get caught on something and was hanging down almost to the ground! Clearly, not the best day or idea situation to have all of those problems simultaneously on a trip all the way from the bottom to the top of the country! I am very pleased to report however that this story had a very happy ending as Antonio was able to fix all four problems within 36 hours...even staying late to finish the work and without even asking, calling and paying for an Uber driver to swing by and pick me up and bring me back to my hotel room while I waited. What put the experience with Antonio at Santa Clara Muffler over the top though was when I told him that I had never before used Uber and asked him to show me how it worked...he even took time out of his busy schedule to show me how to sign up for the Uber service myself. After having been deployed for 7 of the past ten years in Iraq as well as having a lot of difficulties with memory as a result of Traumatic Brain Injury...I had never before used it and didn't know how. To end the story, Antonio, made one of the potential worst days of my life...into one of the greatest...and he did so for significantly less than what I was expecting it to cost me. If you find yourself in the Santa Clara, CA area and are looking for a mechanic and a shop that is the best of the best...and someone who definitely honors our disabled combat veterans...Santa Clara Muffler is the place and Antonio is the mechanic to see. God Bless you Antonio...thank you so much for honoring my service to country and taking such good care of me in my time of greatest need. I will never forget what you have done for me.
