No go! Don't go! Stay away!!! There's better options than losing your vehicle. My car lasted one week after an issue with these people. They lost 100 dollars on the repair of over 600 because it wasn't quoted. One week later the car died. James-1. Doug out over 1500. Underhanded, sneak

Our car lost all power in the fast lane on the interstate driving from Chicago to Madison. Luckily, we were able to get halfway up the off-ramp before it died completely. It was the alternator. Lucky for us, we were right outside of Janesville and when I googled “mechanic near me”, Schoonover Auto popped up. Not only was James able to find an alternator for my type of car, it was fixed and we were back on the road in under 3 hours. Amazing service!!! Cannot recommend James and Schoonover enough!!

I called in advance told them the Code of the problem I was having with my truck they seem to know exactly what to do. Made an appointment to leave my vehicle for the day. After a couple of hours they called me to say the part had to be ordered and they had looked into it further and it would take considerably longer. Incompetent and a waste of my time. Totally irresponsible would not recommend

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go here. We just spent $300 for them to “fix” our transmission line and it was leaking coolant in our 2007 Ford Fusion. We just got it back a couple days ago and the ONLY time we have drove it is from Schoonovers back to our house. and we just went to leave and now we don’t have any power steering and our engine light is on AND it’s thumping as well. EVERY time we go to them, they always find a way to mess our car up. Let’s just say, if they weren’t closed right now, they’d be hearing an EARFUL. but they will hear much more when they open tomorrow morning.

I've gotten my front and back brakes done here on my 2013 civic, they replaced the started and plugs on a work 2006 impala, and helped me read error codes off my 2015 Ford F150. I can't say enough about these guys, great service, very fair pricing, and fantastic quick work. I will continue to go to them as long as I need my cars serviced.

Took my vehicle in and ask them to diagnose the problem and let me know what was wrong, they called me three hours and they had fixed it without calling and discussing what was wrong and how much it would cost me to fix it. I HAVE NEVER HAD A MECHANIC FIX MY VEHICLE WITHOUT AUTHORIZING! I did not sign ANY work order or ANY paperwork. I did not ask them to repair my vehicle, I am on a very limited income and could not afford to repair it at that time! This should have been discussed with me! It is illegal to do that! He could put a mechanic lean on your title or take your vehicle if you can't pay the bill! He probably would not have done that to a man! Dont take your vehicle there unless tou have unlimited money in your bank account!
