I’ve been going to Scott Auto and Repair for about 18 years, and they’ve serviced three of my cars—a Pontiac, a Jeep, and a Ford Explorer. Over the years, they’ve consistently provided nothing but the best service! Their prices are always reasonable, and their expertise is unmatched. Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good barber, and believe it or not, these guys are the best at what they do! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy shop. They’ve earned my loyalty time and time again!

Awesome service! Took our car to AAMCO 1st & they wanted $2900 for what these guys fixed for $325. & they did it in less than 2 hours! Courteous, polite & professional. And they do it all. Love the cat too!

Went to Scott Repair based on family recommendation. I previously used Vol-Repair when they were on Clairmont and Briarcliff. TALK ABOUT A BUNCH OF CROOKS 😡 Used dealer for many years after purchasing new car. Prices/service began to become a problem; prices UP, service DOWN. I am willing to give Scott Repair a chance! All my neighbors rave about their service. I stopped in just for a look-see and must say was less than impressed with Liem. He must be the owner’s son because I was looking for an older gentleman, Tan Nguyen. Liem was not busy but rather short and curt with response to my questions. I know my neighbors would not send me to a non-reputable establishment. Perhaps Liem was having a a rough day. I will give them one, maybe two chances. I am easygoing and easy to please. Just be RESPECTFUL.

I always have a wonderful experience when I come to them. So much so that I recommend all of my family, friends, and neighbors go see them. I've gone to other shops in Decatur and my experiences at Scott's have been the best of all. What I love is that they don't try to sell me stuff I don't need and they get me in and out as quickly as possible.

The most awful shop in Decatur took 500$ and 4 days just for it to be broke down 2 miles later please do not go here for even a simple oil change a tire change anything if you value your money don't get your car towed here and if there was an option for 0 stars it would be that way

I brought my girlfriend’s car to them. The car was having minor issues with no check engine light on. The manager at attempted to charge us over $6,000 for but We declined. Once we picked up the car back up, the check engine light was now on and the car was running worse than it was when we dropped it off for a simple diagnostic test. We have taken the car to the Nissan dealership. No new transmission needed at all. Believe all the bad reviews you read about this place. It is true. Horrible customer service & shady business tactics.

I came down for an easy and quick emission test. Scott said he could do it.. I sat there for 20 minutes for him to tell me my car's ocd was not working and I needed to come back so he could see what the issue was. I asked if he was joking and if the other emissions places would say the same thing... Long story short. Nothing was wrong and I got my smog check without any problem. Shame on you sir!

I moved to Decatur about four years ago. I had taken my car to have the oil changed at one of the chain oil change shops. They informed me after they supposedly checked other things that I needed brakes and rotors. They gave me a quote of almost $500. I said no thanks and left. Someone had told me about Scott Auto Repair so I drove straight there and they looked at the brakes and said I didn’t need brakes at all. They are very honest and will work really hard to resolve any issues you are having with your car. The best auto repair shop I’ve ever used. They also are cheaper than other shops. All I can say is I am so glad I found a place I can trust.

Liem has been my guy for multiple years now, he’s done work on my family’s cars that include Subarus, Hondas, and BMWs. I noticed some snarky reviews on here and I just wanted to clear the air. In my personal experience, Liem has been super consistent and helpful. The labor is the cheapest in the area and it’s quality work too. I don’t trust anyone else.

Original post: These people are crooks. Do not use them. They give you a quote then triple the cost and don't fix the problem. I attempted to edit my original post before, but now it won’t show. Repost. Response to the owner: The details of my visit will be listed in the claim that I will be filing against your shop. All the negative reviews from upset customers seem more credible after your shop did the same to us. You charged for excessive labor fees for work NOT done. Anyone who is considering using this shop, consider using ANOTHER mechanic that is honest and won't triple charge you on your labor after they have your car in their shop. Notice to anyone considering using this mechanic: The shop replies to each posting ALWAYS denying each complaint. Read ALL the complaints from the MANY UPSET customers and avoid being ripped off. They always fault the customer. Edit 2: You can’t find my name now but you didn’t have a problem finding my name when you took my money for service you did not complete. You will receive the details when you get the court summons.

Recharged my RV AC. When it quit working during my first trip I took it back and they looked for a leak, found none, and washed their hands of it. Didn't want my money to try to fix the AC blowing hot.

We have bought our cars to this spot for over 10 years. We have dealt with the rudness because they do do good work HOWEVER Liam will give you a price and change it in a heartbeat then pretty much call you a liar. Then the old man loves to say they have been there for a long time. I was quoted 430 (320 without replacing the radiator and an additional 110 to replace radiator) I wrote exactly what he said down (I told him this he said show him the paper ..which was at home) for a job went to drop the parts off then he says oh labor is $685. Then he says u have to pay for it before they will work on the car. You haven't done any labor so I bought the parts why am I paying for work in advance. Then want to be argumentive and combative and straight up rude. I'm like you do know yall have horrible reviews because you do stuff like this. The older man says so we been in business long time and will stay in business.. i was like with technology and as things vlchamge in this neighborhood reviews matter. Keep treating and talking to people like shyt and you def will be out of business in the 5 years. All the cars that are for sale is from them fkip flopping prices and people just say fk it. By the way took the car to another mechanic in Tucker 2 quoted the same $420 but only one had availability..they do good work but the lying screaming at customers disrespect .. I will never refer anyone else here..and me and my family will no longer support

Saw they were open until 4. Brought my car in to diagnose an electrical problem with my brake light at 2:30 and was told they are closing so to come back Monday. Starting off with dishonesty means I’m not going back to get likely more dishonesty.

Took my brother's rusty car here after getting turned away from 6 shops in the area for a tough job. Not only did they do a great job, they charged a very reasonable price. This seems to be family owned and everyone I dealt with was professional. I do most of my car work on my own, but I find myself wanting to give these guys more business so will probably be back!

I went in to have my tires rotated, oil changed, and tire pressure checked. The receptionist was kind and I was satisfied with the job they did. The pricing is good, and their customer service is responsive and they were able to quickly book me an appointment.

Says I needed $995.00 worth of work. The truth is all I needed was a tire! They just wanted to get unnecessary money. Please be truthful and not dishonest. Charged me just to inspect my car to tell me the problem, ok fine. Then in the end, says well the main problem is the tire. I won't return. I only went to this establishment because the place I normally go, they were closed 😓. Plus I didn't know what the problem was with my car. So I was sort of desperate, because of the way the car was driving. I went to a tire shop on Jonesboro RD, they inspected my car and got me back on the road safely the only recommendation was, I needed an ALIGNMENT!

These guys are great! I have gone in twice for headlight replacement, and twice for a tire repair, and every time, they have been friendly, and have done these repairs right there and then on the spot, and have done great work! It is very hard to find a mechanic who will do repairs on the spot, even minor repairs. So I highly recommend this place!
