Usually in the world of car care it turns out to be a crap shoot. One mans greatness is another mans disaster. This review is all about a GREAT experience I had with Scotts Auto Repair. My Olds had developed a rather large squeak/chirp and was chewing up my serpentine belt. I called the establishment and Scott answered and advised that I bring my car in the following morning. He advised he would call with a diagnosis and cost involved with repairing my vehicle. Several hours later he called and presented a good news/bad news scenario...Good news= easy fix (crankshaft pulley). Bad news= the part was not to be found anywhere locally. The great thing was that Scott not only checked locally but NATIONALLY and AFTER business hours. Outstanding. Luckily, we located a used part in Springfield and I picked it up the following morning. Two hours later, car was fixed at a price that was WELL below average for crankshaft pulley replacement. To verify that the experience wasn't a dream come true I asked another customer about their experience with Scott's and received a glowing review. Seems Scott's has been her trusted car care specialist for well over 7 years! Do yourself a favor and take your auto to Scott's for both repairs AND preventive maintenance! You'll be glad you did!

i've known scott for over 15 years he has done work on my chevy and dodge truck hes very knowledgeable in his profession i would highly recommend scott's complete car care thanks scott

He fixed the water pump and power steering belt 2005 Chevy impala for my daughter for one never checked the power steering fluid to add did not check the lines for leaks overcharged because he thought he was being paid through a hope fund never will he touch a car of mine my daughter drives the car but the car belongs to me he is lucky I am in this stage of my life because buddy he would know my name I suggest NO ONE TAKE Your Car TO SCOTT

I’m not going to give them a bad review because their staff was pleasant on the phone and who knows I might use them in the future. My issue is they’re listed as auto glass repair on Google when I called they said they don’t do auto glass…. Kinda false advertising. I would just refine the key words on Google so people don’t waste their time. I still gave you 5 stars.

My opinion is as follows: These guys are scammers. They only install their own parts so that they can up charge the hell out of you. There is absolutely no problem installing parts independently purchased from reputable retailers, except many mechanics (not all) are some of the biggest scammers (like lawyers) in that so many up charge you and make you pay far more than you should or is reasonable. An employee tried to charge me ≈$540 to change a stabilizer bar, which is a completely unfair, scammy price. Again, I think these guys are scammers who rip people off. Just my opinion.

Great experience getting our car serviced here. Called in on Thursday and spoke to Scott. We explained what we were looking to have done and Scott very confidently explained the service, gave a quote, and provided a realistic timeline for when the repair would be done. We dropped the car off the next day and they had it back to us ahead of schedule and for what was quoted. Definitely felt trustworthy and experienced. We will be back next time our car needs service!

Honest diagnosis and repair. Thought it was a cracked manifold, but a gasket and spring kit did the trick. Highly recommended.

Husband dropped his car off and key the day before and he checked the next day to find out the problem and I had to take him to pick it up. Never had any major problems from them.

This place is a blessing from God. I had my catalytic converter and oxygen sensor stolen from my car and needed a fast repair. Scott and his team had everything taken care of quickly and efficiently.

Very friendly people and awesome service. I was personally impressed when I was told that everyone working there could drive my standard transmission. I've been to several shops that asked me to drive my car in and out of the bay because it's a manual.

My family has been a customer of Scott's for 10 years and half a million miles. Knowledgeable, trustworthy and fair. We squeeze every mile we can get out of our cars and having a mechanic that I can ask "What would you do if it were your daughter's car?" and get an honest and thoughtful response is invaluable. Very bad attitudes terrible service!!! They not nice people at all. My truck was broke down in front of there place they just looked at it? Why not see if I needed assistance? But, no why do that I didn't pull in, what about common courtesy and decency? I would never spend my hard earned money here.
