Josh was great! The work they do is great, and they always can get the parts fast and repair them with little time away from your car.

These guys are great! They’ve worked on both my cars and when they fix your car it stays fixed. I’d recommend Sharon Woods Auto Care to anyone who needs a good auto repair shop. The police get their cars fixed here so that’s the ultimate testimonial.

These guys took really good care of me! Rick (owner) is a genuinely good guy. He personally called me multiple time just to explain things and walk me through the next steps to take. I really appreciated that. My family's been using this shop for 20 years now. Take your vehicle here, they will treat you right!

I wasted 4 months and $500 here. The owner jerked me around for 4 months, trying to get my classic car in for repair. He set appointments, and then say "Call me next week" only to tell me they were not capable of fixing it. With the towing costs and their charges I wasted $500 here. For nothing. My 7 year old twins could have spent an hour and done as much. Reminds me of the old line "dumb looks are still free". Not here. I could stomach this, if I didn't get a phone call from the belligerent owner telling me to get the car picked up. He ended up yelling at me on the phone til I hung up. Then he called back to yell some more. This was after I had stopped and talked to the manager a couple days before, to tell him I was making arrangements to take it to a real certified mechanic. Manager nicely said "No problem. No rush" I was trying to avoid even more towing charges, and keep the car out of the bad weather. It seems like these guys want easy money for simple fixes, so if you need a real mechanic for anything more complex than an oil change, go elsewhere.

Josh and his crew have been nothing but deserving of 5-Star service all throughout their work on my brakes. Keep up the good work guys! As for me, I'm back to delivery services and finding my next gig

Rick and his team have always provided excellent service and advice. I have been taking all five of my cars there for several years and have NEVER had a bad experience. Great Service at a great price and they always call you with the status of your car if they need it for more than one day or the time frame stated when you brought the car in for service.

Shout-out to Sharon Woods Auto Care (at the fork, across from La Rosa’s) for demonstrating integrity and great customer service once again. Had my tires replaced recently at big chain tire store (will remain nameless). No issue with tires or their price—it was the call I received during installation. They told me brake pads were worn and rotors had “hot spots”; replacing them while car was still on the lift would get me discounted cost to replace all four for $888. I asked which rotors showed the most “hot spots” (remembering I’d had something done in the last few years…)They stated the front two were worse and that they are more expensive, since the front does most of the work to stop the vehicle. That price: $468. I only purchased the tires. Then I called Schottmiller’s, who reminded me that they replaced the front rotors and pads in 2020. If they were bad already, Schottmiller’s would pursue a replacement from the manufacturer, for defective parts. So, I took it to them to inspect. The result: all four sets of pads and rotors are in good shape. I’ve driven about 20K miles—well below average—since 2020, so I have lots of miles left. To do this, Schottmiller’s had to remove all tires (or wheels, not sure—not my area of expertise) and replace them. They did this at no cost to me. Trustworthy, professional, and fair—much appreciated!!

5 big stars! I pulled off on the way to work and asked if they would help with a rattle noise in my front wheel. They fixed it same day at a very reasonable cost and my car now drives right again. Thank you for fixing my car!!!!

I am a returning customer and will continue to return for any future vehicle issues! We had a noise in our van that would appear only at a very specific moment during acceleration, but it could be heard by anyone in a two-block radius. Instead of just throwing time and money at parts, they took their time to look at all of the potential causes. It took a little bit of time, but ultimately were able to fix the issue at a fraction of the price that we would have spent if we went to the original shop that gave us a quote. Josh, Rick, and the rest of the team are trustworthy and stand by their work. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any automotive work.

My mechanic was very welcoming, allowed me to sit in my OWN vehicle while he took a service drive to diagnose my vehicles problem, demonstrated transparency, and fixed the one problem that mechanics from other shops overlooked. The service was very affordable and swift to fix my issue. I highly recommend Sharon Woods Auto Care to anyone who needs their vehicle professionally, and honestly serviced.

I brought my hummer in to have a cv joint diagnosed. I couldn’t tell if it was a front axel joint or front driveshaft propeller shaft joint that the noise was coming from. The shop diagnosed it as the front driveshaft. When given the estimate they specifically told me the whole driveshaft had to be replaced, and it was not possible to fix the problem with mine. Rick Suggested that the shop could get a used driveshaft installed for About $500 but also offered a new one for $850-$900. HOWEVER I know that both joints on my driveshaft can be replaced in under 30 minutes. And the parts cost $100. The fact that he suggested a “used” driveshaft makes me believe that he lied to me and he knew mine could easily be fixed by using my old shaft and new cheap joints on the ends. And I know all of this because I drove to autozone and bought the joints and replaced them easily in my driveway in about 30 minutes. And also I know a whole new driveshaft with all new joints attached is available from advanced auto for $215. That would have taken even less time to complete the job with the complete assembly already ready to go! We are talking about a literal 10 minute job! Criminals. I’m glad I know about mechanic work and was able to find the time to do it my self.

I've been using these guys for the past 2 trucks I've had. Prices are reasonable and I don't have to get things re-fixed. If they fix it, then it stays fixed. Mechanic helped put my bike in my truck after spraining both my wrists while riding it.

Well this is now the 2nd time in two weeks my truck had to go into this shop. And basically have now spent a good bit of money there. The company I work for and a decent amount of other people I know take vehicles there and I will tell you right now I will NEVER go back. One of the older workers made a comment when I brought my truck in that "This is why you don't let women drive your truck" directed to the person who was with me, who doesn't own the truck. I clarified for him that I, a woman, own that truck. Which he responded "That is why women shouldn't drive trucks". You can think these things but if you are in a service industry it is best not to say them. Especially to someone who is about to pay you for services. I would have had it moved then if I didn't want to pay to have it towed out of there. Then it took them a lot longer to even look at my truck after it was dropped off. I had to contact them to find out any update, which I was told they were just now looking at it. Now on the third day they had my truck I got a call in the morning says they found the issue and told me the price. And most likely would be done by the end of the day. 4:30pm rolls around and I call them back. I get told well after they called me they figured it was something else. Never called me to tell me this at all. And now in this call was told that it is going to cost me even more to fix it. My issue isn't that I have to pay to have something fixed it is the shady way things are now happening. Because my truck had to have a new part put in and then towed somewhere else to be reprogrammed. When two weeks before it could be reprogrammed at that shop. So did they lie and just weasel more money from me the first time? Lucky me my insurance will cover up to a certain amount if it needs a tow. When they asked me how much that was I responded and was told it would probably be under that but certainly not over. Magically it was the exact cost of what my insurance will pay. This also seems a bit on the unsavory side to me. Overall I do not trust these men working at this shop and feel I have been treated with no respect. Please if you are a woman who needs help with their car I urge you not to enter this shop. I urge people to not go here any way since I do feel they over charged and may have charged for services not done.

When I confronted Daryl Schottmiller years ago about charging me for work he never even did on my car more than once, he said to me - and I quote - "so. I don't know how smart the customers are." True story. I will always tell women to beware of this place.

My disabled son's car is cared for by Sharonwoods Auto on Reading Rd. Daryl and the guys have helped us for 8 years and I have never had a complaint and I trust them. They are courteous and respect my son's disability and make him feel accepted. They have always found the problem and not recommended any fixes that are not needed. Fair and kind. Highly recommend this shop!

The other reviewer has Sharon Woods Auto Care mixed up with another shop in the area. Sharon Woods Auto Care has been run by the owner for 30+ years. It has never had a front desk manager, much less changed one. This is an honest business that you can trust, owned and operated by Daryl Schottmiller, a resident of Sharonville all of his life.
