Don't say you open at 5 am and not... What a joke, Shell
Jul 05, 2024
Absolutely. Ridiculous went at 10:30 and none of the pumps worked and it says closed when online it says open absolutely ridiculous.

The hours need to change to reflect the hours of operation. I went to get gas before work at 7 am on a Sat. There was a sign that said the pumps were turned off at 10 pm however with no indication of when they were going to be turned on. Just a very inconvenient morning, which could have been avoided if the hours were correct (states itâs open from 5 am).

Gas pump shuts off at 10pm every night. Ridiculous

Totally ripped off! Took my car there to get battery replaced after getting a charge. I only asked for the battery to be replaced. Get a call 4 hours later advising me that the battery replacement would be $331.00 and that my Brake Pads front and back were very low and needed replacing for $600.00. Advised NO to the pads and yes to the battery, as I was desperate to get car back to go to work. Yesterday I went to my Brotherâs Auto Shop in Perry Hall for him to replace the brake pads taking time off of work. Sure enough - fronts 3 years left in them and back pads 2 years. A waste of my time and his. Not only did they put my car on a lift, when a battery change can be done on the ground, they completely took out the Mazda casing for a battery and did something with tires, as the caps on them were completely new. I was not told about any of that, nor did I authorize it until I called the next day to inquire. The average cost for a battery change is $75 to $200. Never will I ever use them again. In fact - they should give me some money back. That battery is not 14k Gold!

I found the service to be excellent!

Donât trust the mechanic for inspections. He said foglights needed replacing in order to pass inspection. Little did he know my entire front end was replaced less than two months ago. Fraudsters

Love these guys. Got a flat tire shortly after moving to the city. Called my dad and he said âwhat do you want me to do?â LOL thanks dad. Didnât have a smart phone yet so he at least looked them up for me. I called them and they rescued me (including saving me from getting a ticket! Meter maid was writing it as they pulled up). Came to them anytime I needed something after that. Once they pulled a nail out of my tires and patched it and tried not to take any money but I insisted. If I was still local Iâd still be going.

Angela was the worst attendant ever. I know itâs baltimore and you take what you get with this job but rude hostile and doesnât understand how a pump works. I live a couple blocks away and because of her I will no longer come here again. Also letting everyone know about this experience

Bill and his team have worked on my cars for many years. Dependable, honest and all around great experience. I must say that Jason is the best mechanic I've come across... he thoroughly explains the mechanical ins & outs, and always has my best interest at heart as a car owner.

Gas station closes before the time posted. Would update hours to reflect that

I took my car to have have it service... They didn't exchange the oil and not even the filtr for it... It didn't need belt to pass inspection, they call for it and didn't even replace it... Worst service ever... by the way my car was 35k miles and garage kept... so they were to lazy to have done I guess...

Needed a quick repair of my Honda minivan slider door that wouldn't fully close and was draining the battery. The Honda dealer couldn't guarantee they could even look at it and wanted $145 to 'assess' what is a known design flaw and has happened on all 3 of the vans we've owned. Anyhoo, the mechanic at Shell was willing to take a look. Dropped it off after hours and the next morning they had it on the charger and were checking it out. It would have required to order parts, several days to receive and replace in order to fully repair. I needed to get on the road so they did the next best thing and got it to stop draining the battery. It was ready mid afternoon same day and the cost was less than Honda wanted to just look at it! Friendly, quick service. Well done!

The customer service is horrible. Very unprofessional. I went to put air in my tire and was having difficulty with understanding how to use it. The air pump was a little weird because it had a lever that I was not familiar with. I decided to go inside to ask for assistance, specifically just to know how to use it, not for someone to do it for me. As I am walking to towards the gas station store, I encounter an older gentleman with grayish whitish hair about shoulder length and asked him if he worked there and he proceeded to say yes, walking by grumbling that he just got to work. I totally understand Just getting to work and someone asking you something. However, I am a customer and it couldâve been expressed in a better way that he was just getting to work. He didnât even bother to say âLet me see how I can help youâ or âLet me get someone else to help you ânor bothered to inform me that they were not open yet. He proceeds to go to through the cashier booth to the back where car repairs are made. I could overhear him telling someone in the back that I needed help but again he did not communicate anything to me. I encounter the cashier- a young caucasian guy with short dark-hair with gauges to see if he could assist me. He had no clue so then I proceeded to ask for a manager or the owner of the gas station that I could complain to because it was extremely unacceptable that nobody came to communicate 1) they werenât open yet or 2) to even just tell me simply how to use the pump. So after asking for the number and being denied, I asked who the owner was and after deciding if he should reveal that info or not, he states Bill is the owner. Not sure if Bill heard me going back-and-forth with the cashier about contact info but Bill appears from the back (after also being told by the older worker that I needed help with the pump) stirring his coffee stating theyâre not open yet, âI have to wait 10 mins for helpâ, etc. No customer service skills whatsoever. I then asked him for a number to complain and he flat out told me he would not provide that. And proceeds to say I need to wait 10 mins! This area is predominantly Caucasian and I am pretty sure they would have been treated the exact opposite. So after waiting about three minutes, Bill comes out with a coat that reads Bill and starts to help me and his attitude was completely different. He began to explain how to use the pump, how they need to put a new sticker on the pump to make it more clear on how to use it and even pumped an additional tire that I needed adjusted. This is the level of customer service that should have been provided from the jump. I shouldnât have to go back-and-forth with employees and an owner who refuse to give me contact information to complain when that is my right as a customer. I shouldnât have to encounter employees who donât want to do the job simply because the place doesnât open for another two minutes. Effective communication and exemplary customer service is a must.

Best gas prices

Called to see about getting a tire plugged and was told I'd have to leave my vehicle and they would "try to work it in". I can understand being busy...glad to have a local business doing well... but it's a 10-15 minute job. Never had that experience in the 30+ years I've been a customer. Always had great service prior to this.

Customer service is usually fine, however, I go to get gas one day and the screen was frozen, so I went inside to pay, and the lady had the nastiest attitude. I didn't get her name but she was white, I think blue eyes and black hair and on the bigger side. When I asked her nicely to put money on my pump she starts snapping at me and questioning me as if I was lying that the screen was frozen. "what did it say?", "Its not frozen", "your card is already on there", "this is why we had to reset the pumps". Just basically blaming me for the pump not working. She was probably mad because she had to put out her cigarette to come and help me. But it just really ruined my day and think from now on I'll go out of my way to get gas just so I dont have to deal with her again.

Got my inspection done here. Brought the vehicle to a mechanic to fix all the fails, before even working on them he asked me if I had brought him the right car. Only 2 out of the 13 fails were true. They went as far as to say there was an open hole in the floor, the mechanic spent an hour looking for it, never to find it. Customer service was non existant, literally like they didn't want customers to come back ever. If I could rate negative stars I would

I like this gas station prices were better than other gas stations in the area

I went two Royal Farms(which had broken air pumps) before hitting up this Shell to find an air pump. Not only it costs money. It was out of service too. Very disappointing. If you need air in your tires. I would go to the Wawa on Boston St.

Only recommend coming here if youâre down and out of luck. Charged me $160 just to tell me to take it to a transmission shop. Surely it doesnât take much time or effort to hook the car to a diagnostic scanner and read the code to tell me this. Iâve taken my car here a time or two before and it was decent, but now I never want to go back.

Bill is a family guy who actually cares about his customers. He's always taken care of our vehicles and sometimes I'm shocked that he didn't charge me more. He's an honest, local guy you can count on!

Bill knows that I love my old Audi, and he and the gang have gone all out to keep it running. Also, prices are very reasonable. Thank you everybody, youâre the best!

I love these guys. They have repaired by old car continually and saved me a bunch of money. The dealer wanted to charge me $800 to replace the electrical windshield unit and all the corresponding parts, washer fluid, wipers, electrical parts. Nicholas Fleet Street charged me half the price. Love â¤ď¸

Bill at the auto repair shop was able to quickly help me with a critical battery connector issue. I will be back for sure. Thank you!

Hours online are not accurate. Pumps are turned off at random after 10pm. Good luck
Dec 05, 2020
Not open at 5am or 6am all the pumps are turned off. But they do not say they are turned off. I will go out of my way before coming to this place again.

We went to the dealership for annual maintenance and came out with a $2,700 estimate. We called Nicholas Fleet Street and were worked in quickly into their schedule for a second opinion. Bill was very fair, honest, and took the time to answer my questions and explain the situation to me. We ended up leaving with peace of mind and <$70 total bill. We are very grateful to have a neighborhood automotive shop that we can rely on and trust!
