I own a used car dealer ship in South Bend myself, I deal with a lot of repair shops, and I can't recommend any of them, (unfortunately) when my son's SUV broke down in Indianapolis, it needed a belt, knowing what I know about this business , I thought these repair shops would take advantage of him, but he was very lucky to stop by this shop , they were extremely helpful ,replaced his belt and changed his oil quick and charged him way less than I expected .Thank you very much.

This is a reputable, small family business that does very good work. I needed a very small exhaust job done on my vintage show car. It wasn't going to be very profitable for the shop. I was a bit picky and specific about what I wanted. Other shops had turned me down or grumbled about my request, so I was surprised when they not only agreed to do the job, but they also executed it perfectly. When shops like this can absolutely nail a small job it's a sign that they really care about the customer and their workmanship. I have five antique cars, and I'll definitely be back with bigger jobs. Recommended.

Great owner and shop walked me through everything was very patient with me in giving me a quote and checking my car out . Price was also really fair and I would even say a steal . Great overall and would recommend to anyone

Great folks. Easy to work with. Had a breakdown while their shop was packed and busy. Got to the vehicle a few days earlier than expected. Called and gave good details with what they found. Seemed to do great work and good prices. Will definitely use them again!

After I moved here and got screwed by a couple mechanics a friend referred me to Shidlers in 1994 they have always done me right, when a mistake was made once it was fixed right away no problem,I will not let anyone else touch my vehicle. I don't go by reviews because in today's world there solicited this is not.

Excellent workmanship - I drive 20 miles to have work done. Extremely fair pricing ... half of what dealership was asking. It's been several months with the brake job and all is running great.

Great family owned business. I’ve taken my classic car here a few times for various repairs. Finding a good mechanic is tough. Finding a good one that works on these older cars is nearly impossible. Work is top notch and pricing fair. I drive 25 miles from Franklin to have my car repaired here.

I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for the work you did to repair my GMC Terrain. This car sounds brand new again and you allowed me a lot more time to enjoy not having a $450 car payment… 😃 Not to mention the sentimental value it holds for me. My review is long overdue but, I felt it was important to get this message out there. This is an amazing auto repair business because of the family who owns it! We were traveling through town when we noticed smoke coming from our vehicle and had to spend the night in town. After reviewing several options for the next morning, I drove directly to their shop and explained our situation. It's always scary when you have a problem on the road because you don't know if it is a big issue or a simple one that you will get taken advantage of since you are an "out of towner" and they got you by the short hairs. Long story short, they took us right away and totally shot straight with us, it was a simple problem and we were on the road right away at a very manageable price. Turns out our son will be going to school in Indianapolis and I know where I will be having him take the car for maintenance:-) Honest, ethical, and super nice - solid family owned business! If you are traveling through town and have an issue, take it to them and know you are in good hands!

They repaired the tie rods on my Chevy Cruze at a very reasonable price. I was so pleased with the work done that I had them do brake job as well. I highly recommend Shidler's.
