I do not have anything good to say about shiffflet, they are not good at diagnosing it seemed like they were playing a guessing game and changing parts at my expense . I had to call every couple days because I was not updated while my truck was there for a month . I do not recommend, not very professional.

I took my BMW on a tow truck to Shifflet Auto Care Repair. When it was all said and done, I took my BMW away from Shifflet Auto Care Repair on a tow truck. I paid over $2,100 on items I needed done, but when I left, my BMW was in worst shape than what it was when I brought it in to Shifflet. I had to take it to another repair shop that cost me over $5,100 for items that were not needed before I took my BMW to Shifflet Auto Care Repair. When I called Shifflet to complain, I was hung up on. All I got to say is, you have been warned.

These folks are technically solid and transactionally honest. I have used them since 2018, and I have been very happy with their work. The boss, Mike, is a very trustworthy guy and will give you as much detail as you need up-front to make an informed decision about repairs. Dan and the other folks at the front desk are also knowledgable and easy to work with. I highly recommend Shifflet Auto Care.

I requested a simple quote for rear shocks and got charged for a complete inspection of my older minivan with known defects. I already know that my van has issues! Please stop charging good people for unauthorized inspections and or repairs!

I took my car here 3 times for the same problem, (service stabilitrack) and they would say it was fixed and it never was. The last time I took it there they ripped me off, charged me $235 and did NOTHING!!!! They said there was nothing wrong with my car and felt it was running good. They said if I felt it was running a bit rough it was because I needed an oil change. My oil was at 28%. These mechanics know nothing. They look at check engine codes and that's about it. I could get that done at Auto Zone!!! I googled service stabilitrack and found out exactly what it means and that it is a common problem. I took it somewhere else and the problem was diagnosed immediately. I do not recommend Shifflet Auto Care to anyone. You will get lied to and ripped off. DO NOT TRUST YOUR CARS HERE!!!!!!

I have been bringing my cars into Shifflet Auto Care for service over the past seven (7) years. I have found the staff to be pleasant and professional. As a real estate consultant, it is important that I keep my cars well-serviced for the long haul, especially with car prices being so high. Therefore, it's essential that I receive the highest quality of care from an auto mechanic(s). It has been my experience that the repair quotes given are fairly accurate and there's never a reason to dispute the cost whenever I come to pick up my car. Yesterday, I was expecting one (1) key fob replacement (quite expensive in case you don't know) for my 2012 Toyota Corolla; however, I received two (2) key fobs instead for the price of the one! What a pleasant surprise! As usual, I am pleased with the quality of service and high caliber of customer care that Shifflet brings to Columbus' westside community. A special thanks to Rex for his exceptional and timely follow-up on the repairs and feedback. Thanks to Denver for giving me a lift home, as my car had to be in the shop for a few days.

Great experience with Mike’s team at Shifflet. And really enjoyed talking with his shop front office manager, but didn’t get her name, sorry! I’m an advanced shade tree mechanic, but bring tough big projects here, and they always do great reasonably priced work, including complete engine swaps. Honest hard working folks, tell you exactly what’s needed, show you any existing issue/damage so you can see for yourself. And if you’re lucky… ole Jerry himself might be visiting the office too!

My wife introduced me to Shifflet Auto Care a few years back. My experience with them has been amazing. For starters, they offer a free ride to where you need to go. So if you drop your car off first thing in the morning but need to get to work, they take you to work. They put gas in my car before, which they didn't need to do that. I still paid for it at the end but they didn't need to do that, and I was just really happy that they did. Recently, we dropped our car off (we have 3, we were down to 1 due to life happening) and they are always very thorough with their work. We needed our AC done, they're very up front with price and they explain why something costs what it does, anyways, they also informed us of our brakes needing done. It was going to be an additional day to get it done. We explained to them what was going on, and they finished it up a day early so we could have it back! Shifflet always goes above and beyond to earn your business and to keep your business. I appreciate Shifflet, and their team and will continue to see Shifflet.

Brought in a car I was considering buying. Everything I saw on carfax and from dealer looked good to me, but I'm not a mechanic. I went to where I always go (Shifflet) and Im glad I did. There was a rear main seal leak hidden behind the engine splash shield. That is an expensive repair! Thank you Shifflet!!

Thanks to the honesty and integrity of owner Mike Shifflet and his staff, I have been a valued customer for the past 6 years. They have ASE certified techs and they are a AAA approved repair shop. Prices are competitive and fair, they provide shuttle service if needed, and they do really good work.

Worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic shop. Dishonest and unprofessional. They charged me $1,000 to change a fuel pump, then refused to work out payments with me, held my truck hostage, nearly cost me everything I own. Didn't even fix my truck right. Check engine light came back on same day I got it back, and now I have no windshield wipers. The invoice stated the fuel pump cost $300. Actual price for same pump at O'Reilly's -$139. The invoice stated fuel filter cost $50. Actual price for same filter at O'Reilly's -$14.

A local competitor wasn’t able to help fix the problem that I was having with my Truck and frankly was somewhat rude about it so I got on my Apple Maps and read a few reviews about Shifflet Auto Care and it seemed to have good reviews so I thought that I would give it a try. There was a gentleman who worked at the shop that was very friendly upon entering and introduced himself and was very polite and respectful. He proceeded to introduce me to the lady at the front desk as well as the owner and assured me that I was in good hands. The lady at the front desk checked all the boxes. Very organized and knew her job well. She was professional, courteous, and very friendly. She expressed how much that she loved my truck and just knew how to make me feel good and comfortable with my experience. The place was super clean and well kept which let me know that they cared. After it was decided that I was going to do business with them they even drove me home. Customer service was some of the best I’ve seen and coming from someone that works in sales it is very important to me. It was a rather expensive fix but if I would have taken it somewhere else not only was it going to be more expensive I would have not discovered this gem of a place. They don’t do a ton of advertising but with the job that they did for me look no further. Great business and great people working there! 5 stars

A trustworthy and friendly mechanic who genuinely cares about the customer. All staff including owner, front desk, and mechanics were customer oriented and very polite. They were honest about having another 6 months on my brakes instead of running up the bill because they understand customers are struggling in this economy. They truly care about the customer, and I would highly recommend to anyone in Columbus.

GM: On 1/22/2024 dropped off vehicle with a print out Auto Zone provided 1/18/2024 Gavin appreciated 👍. Received a telephone conversation the same day with explanation of diagnosis (Gavin). I will be honest was not happy🤐. But I know received an HONEST, ACCURATE, PROFESSIONAL diagnosis of the problem. Retrieving my vehicle meet Denver as the other technician I forgot his name they both had a sense of humor I enjoyed 🤗. Chris and I engaged in a conversation with the same humor. Took my car in to have the code p0026 looked at the day after my CEL came on. They did $1,400 worth of repairs (diagnostic, VVT valve, oil pressure gauge & switch, oil change). I had just had an oil change, but they said I needed to have another with the service. Within a week, the CEL came on again. Said it was unrelated and didn’t offer to look at it. It’s hard to say whether a mechanic shop is “good” or “bad”, but I will say it feel like they nickeled and dimed me on top of having my car for a week and made me uncomfortable. Now I’m having my car towed to a shop that I wish I had waited for in the first place. Learn from my $1,400 mistake.
