One of (if not the best) mechanic experiences I have ever had. Tony was very personable and informed, and he was very transparent with the costs and what exactly was being worked on. He even helped me remove some superficial damage that no one at the carwash or previous mechanics had ever paid attention to. Dropped my car off in the morning and was able to pick up later that afternoon. I will definitely be back for any future car problems and will recommend them to everyone who will listen to me!

could not be happier to have this as my local mechanic. they are thorough, professional, well priced and the type of place that feels like a community oriented, locally owned gem. i know nothing about cars but feel like i am in great hands here with experts would never take advantage of that - francisco is the best!

Tony is always so great to me. I have an old Corolla that’s still kicking. He and his team help my car run and he gives great advice. He also explains everything to me so I can understand what’s going on with my car. Excellent service and great pricing.

I went to Tony with my car problems for many years before leaving L.A. He’s very straight forward, honest, and will give you the most reasonable prices. He's also very cool to talk to. He's the most trustworthy and knowledgable mechanic I've ever come across.

I truly cannot express my gratitude for Tony and everyone at silverlake automotive! I refer anyone and everyone here who is need of a mechanic. Tony and his team know what they're doing and give you the diagnosis straight without providing false hope. They have always done my oil changes and also saved my mini cooper from being a goner. Their prices are hard to beat and most of all, they know what they're doing. I could go on and on about how incredible Tony and his team are!

What do you want me to say. I have been going exclusively to Tony’s for the past 8 years maybe. Never 1 disappointment. Surprised I haven’t posted a five stars comment since I have been a customer of this shop who helped me with 4 different cars. Its a no brainer stop.

Been coming to Silverlake Auto for years and absolutely cannot recommend them enough. Tony the owner is a great guy, and has stuck his neck out to help me on more than one occasion. The staff is all knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping customers solve their problems quickly and professionally. Shoutout to Pancho for being my go to vintage Mercedes guy, and servicing my annoying cars for years since the Precision Mercedes days with Doug. These folks deserve your business.

You always need a good mechanic. I was so stressed when I moved here but I read all the reviews and gave them a shot. This place is awesome. I’ve been quoted hundreds to fix a broken tire light and they did it for a way more reasonable price and even showed me the broken sensor afterwards. They have sent me lost smog paperwork and given me referrals to a very affordable window repair. I trust them and they are super friendly and have great service. Highly recommend!

I live in the east coast and my daughter lives in LA When her car broke down we had it towed to Silver Lake. Tony called me and explained what happened. He gave me my options and we decided on an engine swap. I have been in the auto business for 30 years and I knew he was correct and honest. When he quoted me the cost on the job I checked with my foreman in our shop. He said it was an extremely fair price. Tony gave me a time frame it should be finished. The job was done to the day and to the penny. Its nice to know that my daughter has a garage she can trust. It puts my mind at ease. THANK YOU TONY!

Read others’ great reviews and decided to give this place a shot. Mechanics, as we all know, can be a sham, dishonest, etc. Especially being a woman that knows little about cars, I try to stay alert and avoid getting screwed over by mechanics who may think they can take advantage of me. But Tony was amazing and I could tell he was honest from the get-go. His immediate response to me telling him that Midas said I need to repair my tie rods was “You probably don’t need to…” Because, as we all know, big companies love to induce anxiety on us in order to get more money from us. But I knew for a fact I needed them repaired because of the constant rattling and shaking over every bump. So Tony took me in the next morning and it took under an hour to fix! My car is running so smooth now and back to ‘normal’! He quoted me less than what Midas quoted me, at that! And even referred me to a couple good spots to get an alignment. Very pleased with these guys. Will definitely keep coming back in the future (but hopefully no time soon)! Thank you so much.

Tony is an absolute pro. Service is fast, thorough and affordable. If you are looking for someone trustworthy and reliable look no further, and if hes not equipped to fix something hell recommend someone who is. I will definitely be bringing my car here every time. A++++

We came in for alternator issues with our van. We had been quoted almost $2500 in repairs by another (highly rated!) mechanic in Highland Park and a friend advised us to come to Silverlake for a second opinion… so grateful we did!!! Cut our repair cost by more than half and we had the best experience. Such great people and service. Thanks guys 🙂
