Highly recommended SK prius repair to anyone that has any issues with their car! My 2012 prius with 167,000 miles had a very loud knocking noise coming from the engine and as well was losing coolant. I had been looking around and have gotten quotes from different shops and I later came across SK prius. I quickly gave them a call and spoke with Steve who was very knowledgeable and was able to fit me into his schedule and quoted me a very fair price for a head gasket job, coolant flush and the installation of a new oil pan. I later dropped my car off which was on a Wednesday night and by Thursday he was already giving me updates on the progress of vehicle which I greatly appreciated. Early Friday morning he informed that my car would be ready at 5:00 pm. To anyone who needs a trusted mechanic Steve is the guy. He went above and beyond and even cleaned my engine bay which was something I didn’t even expect. I 100% recommend Sk prius repair. Very professional and an honest person.

Highly recommend SK Prius. My practice gets reviewed all the time, with reviews generally being very helpful...and I rarely have time to write a review, however, SK Prius and owner Steve, deserve this time. I had my 2011 Prius with a blown Head Gasket at 150,000 miles towed to Sacramento from Monterey as I felt comfortable having it towed 196 miles through Carmel Towing and AAA, after speaking numerous times with Steve. He was professional and helpful. The quotes I had for this repair in my area were between $5-6,000. And I also was interested in new shocks at $1600 quoted down in my area and installed by SK, about $525. The quoted fee of $1200 for the head gasket work by SK Prius was hard to believe or $2500 for an gen 3 engine exchange or $3000 for a newer generation 4 Prius engine with 50k miles(these are exchanged engines from Japan). I chose to have SK Prius do the head gasket work and install 4 shocks/struts that I purchased off Amazon. My car was towed on a Saturday am from Carmel and the driver called and said SK Prius received it and the keys without issues. Steve called and said the work was done at about 9pm that night and it ran well! The shocks were to be installed on Monday and that work and a steering column jingle was also fixed that day! The pricing was extraordinarily fair/unmatched as far as I can tell. We went to pick up the car that night and drove it back in the rain to Walnut creek. The steering was great and the engine has run great, but I did have to fiddle with a rotated steering wheel and an slightly un-tightened bolt on one of the struts. Steve helped me through the extra work and offered numerous solutions. Suffice to say, I feel that I received great service and at such a fair price...I am looking for other issues to my cars, so I can get them fixed at a really reasonable price. Thank You!

When our Prius started making noises and had the check engine light come on, we first took it to another mechanic, who said after a diagnostic fee, it would cost $5k minimum to fix the issue. This made us start looking at buying a new car. Luckily, we saw a recommendation on reddit to go to SK Prius Repairs for Prius head gasket issues. We decided to bring it in to Steve after seeing he had prices on his website that were much less than the other $5k quote. Steve fixed the whole issue for less, which saved us from buying a new car and a lot of stress. We plan to only come here for our Prius in the future and recommend him for others. Wish we came here initially, since we already overspent for other issues at the first mechanic

Had rattling and misfiring issues on my prius. Luckily I was able to find sk and they were able to quickly able to diagnose the root cause of the problem <20 min and got to work. Got a head gasket, spark plug replacements at an affordable price and with 6 month warranty. Explained what he did clearly and helped me replace the head gasket before things got ugly. Prius feels brand new, was thinking about selling it before, now feel like it can last years again.

I just want to say how thankful I am to Steve for his service. My Prius had a head gasket that needed to be replaced. Everything about his service was amazing from communication, professionalism and genuine care for my car from start to finish. I was told my car is not worth fixing by other mechanics, but after he took care of me, my car drives like a brand new vehicle. He made sure everything worked perfectly and even offered 6 months warranty. His prices are so much more affordable than any other mechanic shop I called and trust me I did my research. Going to him saved me from making many mistakes I would regret down the road had I not gone to him. From the bottom of my heart, I am very grateful to Steve.

Needed a head gasket replacement for my 3rd Gen Prius and came across SK. Called and spoke to Steve, who was very nice and knowledgable. Took my car in the next day for the head gasket replacement. Picked up about 24 hrs later. Very fast service and car no longer rattles. I highly recommend SK for prius related repairs.

In my morning and out by the afternoon. My abs actuator went out. They did a diagnostic and I was lucky they had the part on hand. After scheduling an appointment, they did the replacement and recalibrated my brake fluid and I was back at work the same day.

These are some very smart guys. I met a Steve and his Father working together when I went, so I guess it’s a pop & son shop. I consulted with Gasket Masters as well, which is supposed to be the best & cheapest prius shop, but their price was twice as much and they seemed to know less about the car. My car is running great now and I’m super happy with the price I paid. I’ll be spreading the good word of Sk prius repair!

Got my headgasket done on my prius by Steve. He was very thorough and clear. He answered all my questions and kept me updated on the process by sending me quick texts and pics.
