This is my second review. The first went directly to Monroe and they sent an email invitation to call their 800 number. After an hour long hold finally able to describe my disappointment, my call was cut off. 1st, the prices on the Skips website are misleading. There is a significant charge for installation and service. Some of the tires are not always in stock or even available. I went ahead and purchased an alternate set of tires which were comparable to what I had been looking for. HOWEVER, after about 100 miles I noticed a significant bulge on the sidewall of the left rear tire. It looked like a defective tire. When I took it in I was told that because I had declined the road hazard coverage I would have to purchase another tire. The manager refused to consider it a defective tire. Bottom line, I wound up spending more than I would have going elsewhere. I know I'll not return for any service. I'll be waiting to see what Monro has to say. Three weeks and 1000 miles later I returned to Skips Tire and Auto. My concern with noisy tires continued. I brought my concerns to the Manager and asked him if there was anything he could do for me. Surprisingly he said he could swap out my tires under their "buy and try" program if paid the cost difference for the new tires. I have since been very pleased with the new tires and went ahead and purchased the road hazard warranty as the only additional cost. I have upped my rating from one to 4 stars mostly because of the professionalism and service at the location... the pricing and availability of what is available on the website could be improved.

Apparently they can’t patch a simple tire leak if your tire tread is too high. Complete waste of my time

Not helpful people. I arrived there before 5 pm on Saturday and it says they close at 6 pm. I had flat tire and needed help. They first said they cannot help and they are short staffed. Then one guy came and said they can change the tire with some extra money while I was on phone. Then I went to ask they said we are closing you cannot be here. Very disappointing.

Staff is rude and careless. I booked appointment specifically on Friday morning to wait for quick service (got a confirmation call from them). To my surprise when I arrived - they started blaming me that I have chatted with main office and pushing back. Finally when they saw it in the system, continued to complain and I need to leave the car, come back later, etc, because they don't have enough mechanics, etc. I have done a service here a year ago, bad customer experience, same rude staff and THEY DO NOT CARE - you need to control every step of what they do.

Chose it due to proximity to my house but had a terrible experience both times. On my girlfriend's Subaru Impreza 2020, they did the brake service and told use we need to resurface the rotors (never even gave the option to replace) and charged us $900. And then the car was shaking and we took it back to them and they said we need new rotors and asked for $900 more for that. Getting all 4 brakes replaced at deanship costs less than $1800 which is what they are trying to charge me. Highly recommend not going here for any of your car servicing needs. I understand that the Evergreen area doesn't have a lot of options, but definitely well worth to drive a little further to better places than this place. Edit: At first when I said this is unfair, they told me this is their policy and the law and that by law they couldn't have offered to replace the rotors. When I pushed them on it they asked me to leave the store. But 30 minutes later they called me back and said that they will replace everything for free. Didn't say why, but I'm happy as long as I don't have to pay $900 more to get the an issue fixed that they caused.

Generally, I have been impressed with their customer service an their work, which is why my husband and I have been repeat customers. However, as a female, I think most shops try to get over on women on pricing. I was quoted 1K for front and rear brake pads. I did research online and called a few other places, including my Honda dealer, who quoted almost half the price! Ah, so sad. And to think, when I dropped my car off and was waiting outside for my Lyft, a woman came up and asked me if this place was good, and I said I had been here many times and I trusted them. In general, for anyone, especially women, please do your homework and/or get a second opinion before you agree to have work done.

Horrible experience. I came in to do a tire rotation. I called before hand and arrived. I noticed my front two tires were starting to wear out. They told me it would be about 1 hour 30 mins. I arrived at 12:30 and i had a phone appointment at 1:10 pm so i stepped out. When i came back inside at 1:45 . One of the two employees told me i needed two new tires.. i told him i know and i will take care of it asap. that is why i wanted a tire rotation in the mean time. he tried to convince me like 4 times to change them now. I said no… i just came in for the tire rotaion. So he told me to wait… in the mean time while i waited.. like 3 customers complained to another employee-the one that took my keys to drop off my car.. two of those customers got mad and where rude to the employee. The way the employee responded, I thought to my self, that he could work a little bit on his customer service. When that same employee finally decides to hand me my keys. He told me “you are all set thank you”. At this point its already 2:10pm I asked him, “don’t i have to pay for the tire rotation,” he said, “ no you didn’t want new tires” i had to end the conversation shortly after that because you can tell he wasn’t having a good day and was being very sarcastic.. I personally dont like to give someone a hard time ect. Why didn’t the other employee tell me they where not gonna do a tire rotation if i need two new tires? Maybe I would have considered it then?? WOW. The employee even parked my car on the handy cap section. I dont have a placard for that. My overall review is that the two employees need to work on communication. The younger one however, i dont think he will last here. I called another place And they did confirm that tire shops cannot Do tire rotations If your tire is under a certain thread too low. That is what I call communication, that is how you could have convinced me To get those two new tires.

I called and Raul the manager assisted me. He was professional ,very patient and helpful. He explained what will be done for my oil change. He gave me 2 hrs window period but my car was finished in 1 hr. I'm very satisfied with this Skip's service center on Silver Creek Rd. Will recommend others to patron them. Tk, Raul!

Over the years, I've bought numerous tires and had brake job done there. Go in today to get a flat tire fixed (screw in tire) and they want to charge me $40! Tire was even off the car already. $40 to plug a hole for a long time customer. Took my tire elsewhere and they will never see another dime from me. Good job losing a long time customer for $40. I was about to take my other car in for a brake job, but no more.

They maybe cheaper than the Honda/Toyota service, but they try to upsell you to do more and they definitely don’t keep their promised time. The front desk guys is unapologetic. The staff is rude.

Regardless of whether you have an appointment or not, and whether you choose to "drop off" or "stay and wait," you will likely end up waiting the entire day. I had an appointment on July 20th at 8:30 AM. There were four people ahead of me in line, and I wasn't checked in until almost 9:00 AM. I opted for the "STAY AND WAIT" option, expecting a wait of 1-2 hours. However, I was informed that it would take 4-5 hours because there were several cars ahead of mine. Realizing that waiting at the shop for 4-5 hours was impractical, I decided to Uber home. At 11:00 AM, I called for an update and was told that my car was currently in the bay and being worked on, and that I would receive a call when it was ready. By 12:15 PM, I still had not received a call. Due to my work schedule and the urgent need for my car, I decided to return to the shop at 1:00 PM. Upon arrival, I saw my car in the bay with no one working on it. I was told it would be completed that day, but no specific time was given. Frustrated, I requested my keys back as I could not wait any longer. In the end, I paid over $100 for full synthetic oil, and I am uncertain if the service was even performed. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning.

Had a great experience with a walk-in to fix a steadily leaking tire. The team was polite and communicated timing to check and fix the tire which allowed my to run local errands during the fix

This place tried to ask me to pay for additional services which i declined at the time., Then i realized when i picked up the csr that he put in the work order that i declined the free general inspection. This is absurd! I have been a coming to this place for many years. Now, the level of service sends m seems to be declining and the customer care seems to be no longer there. They just trying to get more $$$ from you.

Dropped car off to get brakes checked and wheels aligned. On the actual work done? 5 stars. Car is driving better. On the customer experience/customer service? 2 stars. Dropped my vehicle off at 9:30am, had to call at 12pm to get an update to hear that the car wasn’t even looked at yet. Had to call to get another update at 2pm and finally they got to my car at 2:30 and had it picked up at 5pm. Wish I had better communication from them on the actual time.

I was recommended to go here plus it was closer to my house, but boy.. I was wrong to come here. I replaced all 4 tires because they were able to price match for me. They never have my tires in store so they have to "order" them before 10am or you'll have to go somewhere else. Plus, THEY TAKE THE WHOLE DAY! Just yesterday, I got a really bad flat and I had to tow my car to this shop because I thought I got warranty on my tires since I only got it few months ago but it didn't so they told me I would have to buy a tire to replace. I couldn't drive my car to another tire shop to get it repair because I had a puncture in them. They had to keep it over night and I called them today to ask when they'll be done, they said it won't be done in a few hours because the tires haven't arrive yet. I'm getting so irritated with this place, I won't ever come here again. I recommend everyone to do the same. STAY AWAY! Very slow service and unprofessional.

I’m having problem from now and then when I start my car so I went to this place to have it check. I had my car stay overnight to make sure what was the problem so they told me that the starter is not working well. They had it fixed at first the parts they install was defective so they need to order new parts so I can’t bring home my car for 2 days because the mechanic doesn’t work on Sundays that’s the only downside but they fixed my car and gave it back to me Monday. Thank you to the mechanic who did a wonderful job and to George and staff for being so nice and helpful explaining about the problem. I will definitely recommend this place.

Location convenience is why my husband chose Skip’s and a couple of the service people we spoke to were nice. However, there have been many times we’ve tried to get an appointment but nobody answers the phone forcing us to drive down there. Additionally they do not call you when the car is ready. We have to drive over to find out and take a chance. A couple of times they weren’t open at opening hours in the morning. And I’ve owned my Jeep for 14 years and have had chrome rims on it with chrome stem caps the entire time until the first time I took it there to replace my tires. They were replaced with rubber caps leading me to believe somebody from the place took them. Not cool. They’ve got to do better than this .

Came in for an oil change with an appointment, waited for about 2 hours. Expected to pay around $40 with a coupon, but was told it wouldn’t work with the oil they planned to put in my car. Was charged $130 which is way too expensive for an oil change. Definitely not planning on coming back since it was too expensive and slow.

Everything was good from the beginning, checking in and getting what I needed for my vechicle to be fixed. My issue was not getting status when my vehicle was ready. I had to call three times for status. Finally the last time I called, the representative I was talking to said that my vechicle was done but my paperwork was at the bottom of his pile. Also he said there was a delay in finishing at one point because the lift stalled or didn’t work due to power. Frustrating when I dropped my vechicle off at around 8:00 and I was finally able to pickup around 4. It was only to replace one rear tire. The person in the morning said there were a few cards ahead of me, counted 3 in the parking lot.

The drop off went fine but when I came to pick up my car, the guy standing at the counter stood there on his phone and didn't bother to even acknowledge me until he was done with his phone. He then tells me that Carlos will help me. I sit down and wait. A man walks in and starts talking to to the person who was on the phone. A few minutes go by and some people come in... They immediately help them. I then ask the telephone guy why he didn't help me first. He tells me that he does not work there (even though he was behind the counter all alone). I tell him that he knew I was there and he told me I needed to wait for Carlos so he clearly does. I then tell him, "you made a mistake, it happens" He admits he made a mistake but why does it even have to get to that point? Why not just take accountability and move on. If they are not willing to take accountability on something as simple as this, I definitely have concerns about them taking accountability if something goes wrong with my car. Next time, I am skipping Skips.
