Talked to Will on the phone and AMAZING guy, I called near closing and he answered any questions I had and helped me even set up a plan. Definitely recommend working with them!

I wanted to take a second to give these guys thanks for all their work. They performed work on my vehicles. always a top-notch job !!!! they always figure out what other dealerships can’t or won’t figure out and fix it. if you want performance and quality they are second to none and Indiana for sure.

Great help with tuning, guys there were helpful over the phone and knowledgeable. They didn’t beat around the bush on pricing because they know what their work is worth and they were willing to sit on the phone and point me in the right direction for my build without being rude and indirect like most local shops are.

I purchased a 1968 Camaro from a deceitful mechanic in January 2021. There were many thing wrong with the car. I found a place in Noblesville that stated they could repair the car. They were more concerned about slapping a bandage on than doing the actual repairs. They charged way too much for what service was performed. I moved my car out from there to another shop. Another huge mistake. Almost two full years later I had the car in my possession for only two weeks. I found Slate Performance Automotive from a recommendation for a high end shop in Brownsburg. Best decision I had made for this car. I worked primarily with Ryan Lochard. Ryan and the staff came up with a game plan in how to get my car in perfect shape. Ryan and the staff are extremely professional who perform very high quality work, and a great eye to detail. They did an outstanding job explaining what was being done every step of the way. I went from hating my car to loving my car. She is an absolute beauty with the power to match. If I had any questions Ryan would call/text at night and on the weekend. I will never take any of my cars to another shop. This is by far the best place to take your vehicle. I would have saved myself over $35,000 if I had taken my car to Slate Performance Automotive in the beginning and saved two years of misery.

I’ve dealt with slate for about 2 years now on my daily driver and my 72mm single turbo bmw and everything has been done perfect, wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else!

Nice guys. They seem to do ok work, very nice shop.. The issue is your alittle high on the budget guy. But if the budget guy is not the customer base your looking for then I say keep the prices high.

Slate performance is one of the most unprofessional businesses I’ve ever worked with. After various months of having my ALL original 1987 Grand National Buick Regal we decided to check on things since it had been stored outside for this time frame (with original paint might i add). While we were there they neglected to inform us that parts of my vehicle had been cut off. I had to ask why my exhaust appeared to be on the ground for all this time. It was only then that they informed me that my catalytic converter had been cut off. They “made it right” but replacing the missing parts. After receiving the car back we realized they welded the pipes on upside down causing them to drag the ground. We took it back for them to fix it. We didn’t have it for much longer and it continued to over heat. We spent well over $8,000 with this company and felt jaded. We no longer trusted their work or judgement, as there were numerous issues through the months they had our car. So we took matters into our own hands. As soon as we opened the hood to investigate, the shocks that hold the hood up were not tight. Instantly we were in awe that yet something else was half done by Slate. We then decided that Slate was not qualified to work on vehicle any more. Therefore, we did not return for the ‘proper’ repairs due to their incompetence. So we began to investigate to find the over heating issue and issues with the engine. We took apart the engine and took our heads somewhere else to get machined, because even though we PAID for them to be machined, they looked as if it was never done. We put the motor back together but it still was over heating. After months of going back through everything slate did with our vehicle, we discovered that their mechanic neglected to remove the cap from the radiator and it was dislodged in the lower radiator hose just before the water pump. If this would of went into the water pump it could have damaged my motor. Lazy, careless, and unprofessional is the nicest way to describe slate performance.

The tuner did a good job. Had my 2019 stingray tuned by them. Cleaned up everything and runs harder and stronger now. Much more responsive as well. Hoping to get lots more work done here to all my cars over the years to come.

These guys were very nice, verbally but are snakes mentally, they gave my car a diagnostic check for 150 and told me they will contact me in a couple days to bring my car back from work. It’s been over 2 months and have not received a call or any service done for my vehicle. And it appears to still be in shop, these scammers are getting ridiculous, but god see you guys. - in 2023 they call that cap, it took awhile for me to get anything… as far as an text or email from you guys, & I came to you guys back in august…

Slate Performance Automotive is one of the best shop. They are very honest and give you the best professional services & answers and high quality work. My car was there for a hot-minutes lol, but I am very satisfied and happy as hell with there work they did. After going to the two dealership, they couldn’t even find the problem on my vehicle, but slate performance did and they fix it like nothing happen and it was worth it to spend my money with them. I love it & I will keep bringing my car back here again. And I would highly recommend this shop to anyone! Thank Ryan, Blake & Dillon !

This business will take advantage of you and your money, be very careful. I advise nobody to ever buy a car from these guys. I purchased a fast and furious eclipse from them and it’s been a horrible experience and investment. I went to these guys when I was 18 years old and they took advantage of me and my money promising me a perfect car. They took forever on the build that was promised months before it was actually done. Then when it was finished it had nothing but overheating issues. Resulting in an engine failure. They also tried blaming me for the incident which I went and payed them out of pocket for a new engine rebuild. And the rebuild has also been nothing but issues. Left me stranded on a one lane high speed road. They build nothing but unreliable builds and it could cost you your life. Also gave me the car without a title to begin with. Too many issues, engine issues, the driver door needs some body work and readjustment since it scrapes. Last thing too, they really cheaper out on the interior, horrible horrible job. Cheap spray painted windows and they couldn’t provide mirror caps for the interior, they used DUCT TAPE. Horrible job. Watch out for them guys. These guys will just hold on to your build to promote their business.

Have taken all of my cars to these guys for everything from an oil change to installing performance mods such as clutches, turbos, etc and they’ve taken care of me each time with no issues and have my services taken care of in a timely manner. Will always take my cars here!

Screw the manager/owner Ryan… walked in to the lobby after a phone call to overhear him cursing me with a tech because I wanted to serve my current engine; they wanted to “beef up” the performance. Paid for the diagnostic, got all recommended service (including new engine/transmission) at a more reputable business. P.S. I heard who and what you told your colleague to NOT schedule and I wouldn’t refer your business to my worse enemy.
