I called Smart Mobile repair on a Wednesday morning. I received an estimate for repairs within 15 mins of my initial call, which came super convenient, right to my iPhone. I approved the estimate and paid a small deposit for my repair parts online. I took the first available appointment, which was the following day. I had a technician at my driveway the next morning and my car was fixed before lunch. Saved me a ton of time at a very reasonable price.

The best repair shop. I highly recommend!!! Guillermo is very knowledgeable, honest and operates with integrity. He always takes the time to answer any questions I may have, and provides me with all the options available-from repair to replacement. As a woman, it can be difficult to find mechanics you can trust with your vehicle, specially if you know nothing about cars. It has been my go to mechanic for over 10 years. Also, Samantha is super nice, greets you with a genuine smile!

I chose this shop for my head cover gasket repair and new brake pads because they had good reviews and cost half the price as the other shops I called. When I brought it in they gave me a “free inspection”, which I accepted because I didn’t care but I’ve already had it inspected and was just doing my repairs in segments for financial reasons. They told me they only change brake pads with the rotors as a “shop policy” ($600) despite telling me that my rotors looks great. They also told me the same thing the last shop did- that I also need my wheel bearing fixed. The quote I got for all 3 things was well over $1000, which seems to be the case every time I go to an auto shop. I’m sensitive and cry easily, so that also generally happens when I take my car in- this was no exception. They weren’t able to get my parts that day so I left with an appointment to come back. I got a call 30 mins after leaving from the lady at the desk basically breaking up with me, saying they didn’t think they were the right shop for me since 1) I was clearly upset 2) didn’t want to do all the repairs they quoted me for and 3) questioned the billing so I must not trust them. I explained how I was crying because I was overwhelmed, explained my situation, stated that it’s normal for people to question billing (particularly solo females in auto shops), and that I’ve never heard of an auto shop that only works on cars if they agree to do all of the recommended repairs at once. I felt very confused why they didn’t want to do the head cover gasket like we already agreed upon and scheduled, and all the reasons she gave didn’t make sense. Anyway, she finally said they’d work on my car and thanked me for listening/explaining. Definitely weird but I didn’t want to go to another shop because of the reasonable price and also because I’m moving to the east coast in a week. I decided to let them do the wheel bearing as well but they said they couldn’t add it because “it was sealed” - not sure what that means but I knew I was taking my car elsewhere for brake pads so I didn’t bother clarifying. So they repaired my gasket cover as scheduled. It took 2 hours longer than their estimate and they do not do pick ups or drop offs so I had to Uber each way. Anyway, I was relieved it was done and I could move on- until I started my car the next day to go to work and every warning light was on. I texted the shop a picture and asked if maybe they bumped a sensor and they responded with the picture attached. I found their communication unprofessional in both of these scenarios, but their price (for the gasket cover, not the brakes or bearing) would still have me considering returning as a customer. But I didn’t trust their inspection since the lights had only been on since they touched it and they responded so aggressively/defensively, so I had Love Auto Repair look at it while they did my brake pads and wheel bearing. You know what’s crazy? They left a sensor detached- hence all the lights. Between the break up call in the beginning and their insensitive response to a car issue they caused, I would not recommend going to this shop. Love Auto Repair dropped me off, picked me up, fixed the sensor with no charge, didn’t force me to change perfectly good rotors when all I needed were brake pads, gave me a better wheel bearing repair price, AND communicated professionally. I hate to leave negative reviews for small businesses, but reviews are pretty worthless if we only leave positive ones so here’s my honest opinion. Hope it helps! Comment response: I’m not promoting anything. I don’t personally know anyone in the area, let alone in either auto shop (I’m a travel nurse). I leave honest reviews because I use others’ reviews to choose where I go. I didn’t not leave this when upset- this is my genuine, unemotional opinion. I did not take my car back to them for the lights because, as seen in pic, they were defensive and would potentially charge me just to look. It’s clear from their reply that they’ll continue to be defensive rather than apologetic.

I recently visited this auto repair shop after my brake light came on, and I was quite anxious about the issue. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable talking to the mechanic. He was incredibly patient in explaining the problem. The front office lady, Zamanda, is also really kind and made everything convenient for me. Smart Mobile Auto Repair is now my go-to auto repair shop, I cannot recommend it enough!! Everyone in Sacramento should go here!!

My 2007 Pontiac G6 had been gradually losing coolant for months. First a little bit at a time to leaking out faster than I could pour it in! I didn't know where to go or what to do as I'm sure we've all heard a horror story or two about some mechanics taking advantage of women because typically most of us don't have a CLUE about the inside of cars...at least I don't 🤷‍♀️... Someone suggested I go to YELP and "yelp" I did! Some of the labor quotes I got from the mechanics that responded to my inquiry were astronomical!! With the focus being more on their service rate and less about wanting to know what the problem was. Then, talking with a very dear friend- She referred me to Memo at Smart Mobile Auto Repair. He's her go-to-car-guy. She said he was "awesome, reliable, professional, extremely knowledgeable and his prices- reasonable!" So the next week- I took my car to see Memo, he looked over my car and came back into the waiting area with a tablet on his lap showing me a video of my water pump, explaining how it was the culprit of my coolant leaking profusely. While he showed me the video- he was patient with me while I asked dumb questions to try to understand how it all worked. He explained it to me until I understood- he was very kind which put me at ease. At the end of that visit he gave me a quote for what was needed. It was a bit more than I was prepared to pay that day- but he didn't pressure me, he gave me the time I needed to get my funds together and go back and let him fix it. Two weeks later- that day was TODAY!!! I met with him and went over what was going to be done and how long it was going to take. "About 5-6 hours" he said and would call me to let me know when it was ready. At around 330pm he called to say it was ready but he noticed my oil needed to be changed BAD, and wanted to call and tell me that he and his manager(?) would be giving me a FREE OIL CHANGE for being a new customer!! So he replaced my water pump and thermostat, gave me a FREE oil change and even checked my tire pressure!! I told him I was starting a new job on Monday and he wanted to make sure it was in tip-top shape to get me to and fro!! What an awesome young man!!! Listen, I doubt you will ever come across a mechanic better than Memo at Smart Mobile Auto Repair! I've already told everyone I know about him and his shop! When I picked up my car- it drove like it was BRAND NEW!! (And they don't even make Pontiacs anymore!!) When my car needs anything else- I'm going STRAIGHT to Memo! And you should too!! THANK YOU MEMO!! YOU ROCK!! 😊👏💯🔥 ***UPDATE 9/14/2024*** (It wouldn't let me create a new review so I'll have to add to this one🤷‍♀️) So, about a week after my car was repaired, I found out as I was driving home from my son's house in Fair Oaks that I had NO HEADLIGHTS!! I knew one of my headlights were out so I try not to drive at night. And not having drove my car at night since it was repaired- I wasn't expecting not to have ANY lights. It was about an hour drive home street way as I live in the south area, a very scary drive home. I texted Memo that night just to let him know but I didn't expect to hear from him as it was about 1130pm on a Saturday night...but to my surprise he reached out to me on SUNDAY and through a few texts we scheduled me an appointment to come in the following Saturday morning- which was today! I met Zamanda (The Boss) for the first time and she was amazing! I told her and Memo about my headlight situation and they were very concerned and attentive. At first, Memo was going to install bulbs and quoted me a price to do so- and I happily agreed to pay right then... Then he called me to come outside to my car so he could show me what was going on. Just like before (sans tablet) he took a flashlight and a screwdriver and showed me corroded/melted wires on the thingy that the bulbs attach to- he said he could still replace them but they would more than likely burn out again and I'd have the same problem. He then gave me a quote to replace the whole headlamp section on both sides

Samantha at the front desk was very nice and had excellent customer service (much needed during a time of possible stress of car issues)- Samantha said the mechanic Memo “is the best”. I figured she’s saying that because she works there haha- but Memo truly was the best- Memo was very personable-mellow mannered-honest-excellent communication-and did excellent work on my car (when I thought my car was a goner after overheating at 381°) even Memo was honest and thinking I may need a new engine- but instead- he was able to fix my car issues and it’s been great ever since! I’ve already told all my friends about him!

Their prices are so high and expensive, and they like to look for things and try to sell you the services that are not needed repairs yet—very good at convincing you. I was visiting the area from Grass Valley when my alternator and battery died on a late Friday afternoon. These guys were quick to respond, and reasonably priced to get my Rav4 fixed during the weekend. Super nice folks that communicated well to keep me aware of what was wrong with my car and when it would be fixed.

Came in for a diagnosis check, Guillermo is THE MAN, THIS MAN WENT ALL OUT TOO FIND OUT WHAT'S WRONG AND WENT THE EXTRA MILE TOO FIX IT. F... THAT ONE BAD REVIEW THERE LYING, HE LOVES HIS JOB AND I THANK HIM FOR HIS HARD WORK. PLEASE SUPPORT THEM IT'S RARE TOO FIND HONEST HARD WORKERS. I had a really great experience. The customer service is superb Stephanie assisted me with the process...I needed a brake job....Memo gave a thorough inspection, I was advised about other components that had some wear and tear. Simple fixes that can prevent more costly fixes down the line. Memo was not only very thorough but he was efficient and the prices are fair. I definitely will be back for all of my car needs.

This is the best auto repair shop in Sacramento!! I had a great experience in this place, Memo explained the issue with my car, he ordered the parts needed and fixed the issue. My first time at Smart Mobile Auto Repair, and it was a great one! I’ll definitely be back! Everything was quick and easy. The front desk was kind and welcoming and the mechanic was awesome! He informed me that there was a recall on my car! I didn’t even know. I plan on taking it in soon, thanks to them! Everything was really quick and they even had a promotion going where they were able to rotate my tires for FREE! I’m really satisfied with my experience!
