He doesn’t fully know what he’s doing. Told me my steering wheel could never be straight after he charged me about $600 total for alignment and suspension adjustment after he took multiple days on it. I went to another shop(Protech auto) that got it done for $120 within 40min. They also found a bolt that was loose on the rear track bar at that was adjusted by this place.

I took my Suzuki Samurai to Joe as it wouldn't pass smog, he worked on it, gave me a fair price and was super kind about it all. I would recommend you bring your 4x4 here if you need it worked on.

Joe did an excellent job in finding and repairing a serious water leak my 1998 Jeep Cherokee. This past winter we've had an enormous amount of rain in Sacramento (badly needed to end the drought.) In January I discovered that the entire floor on the front passenger side was soaked. My regular mechanic thought it might be caused by blockage in the air intake or evaporation system. When neither were the cause, he recommended a specialized 4WD. I brought the Jeep to Joe and within a day he found the problem (an inlet plug missing), searched for a replacement part (no luck), then made one himself. Unbelievable . . . problem fixed, price reasonable and Joe a really nice guy. Can't recommend highly enough. David, Sacramento

YES I am a real person! What a lame response! I don't know how the guy gets all the stars? REALLY the place is a junk pile he has customers vehicles stacked and packed throughout his shop old junk everywhere! I brought my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, that needed technical help he did a fix that did not work. He did not have the proper equipment to troubleshoot my jeeps alternator charging issues, he was in a state of assumptions and could be's. He appears to have a shop lined up for setting peoples 4x4's lifted and any special off roading services. He had more Toyota Trucks he was doing lifts on at the time of my visit. He does not seem skilled at troubleshouting and fixing the issues of specific year jeeps, like electronic modules failures that are specific to individual years and model jeeps. So if you come in with a 2009 jeep electronic short issue he can make a guestimate but he does not have the diagnostics to fix regular problems. Which explains why he has so much junk piled up around the shop. I had to Salvage my 2004 jeep that had a good motor and good transmission for $500.00 THANKS FOR WASTING MY TIME AND MY MONEY!

2005 WK had vibration. Had Drive line replaced, helped but started getting worse, another shop said balance driveline. Replaced with smooth used factore DL, much better but still there. Joe set pinion bearing, ran on the rack and found aftermarket DL had left a spacer. Joe was very knowledgeable, and really thoughtful to isolate the ptoblem. Don't let the appearance of the shop affect your decision to trust him with your jeep, he is one of the best mechanics I have seen.

I’d had my 83 CJ5 at three different shops and I spent almost $1,500 trying to figure out what was going on with it (very loud vibration that would come and go). No one could figure it out and I was desperate. Last night I called this shop and the guy (owner?) told me to lock out the hubs on the front wheels. Not only did that fix the port it it also fixed the shuttering 1st gear start that I’d just grown to accept. Incredible. He solved all my problems and more in under 2 minutes over the phone! Much obliged and much respect!!

I’ve taken my 92 Toyota pickup here for many services. From installing gears and lockers to tightening bolts and oil changes., Joe does a great job! Friendly service with humor. He recently helped me track down a screech coming from my front left wheel well. Did a very exhaustive check and bared with all my frustrations. Noise disappeared with new tires. Don’t let the shop turn you away, a lot of long term projects sitting there. Joe’s the main mechanic and usually has just one other worker so be patient!

Don't let the appearance of the shop fool you. He does a very good job. Work in my 2010 jeep wrangler sahara, I'm very happy, moving from San Francisco to Sacramento, this will be my repair shop for all my cars. Thank you very much ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Joe is a very honest guy. He's the kind of guy that enjoys heading into work in the morning, and is willing to make financial sacrifices in order to keep his integrity in tact. Even after an engine rebuild, he's maintained contact and always makes time to answer following questions. I feel like shops like this are rare to come by these days.
