I’m sure they do good work, but you will pay for it. And don’t bother asking questions, the owner will just raise his voice and threaten to “knock your teeth out”. Plenty of other places that can do the same job with some sense of service

Ron remembered me from an oil change a few months back which is nice and makes you feel valued as a customer. He also went above and beyond fitting me in for a somewhat urgent repair which was sincerely appreciated. Highly recommend Speedline!

I got pulled over for a broken taillight and knew I could (probably) find a video about how to do it myself, but…it’s cold and I didn’t want to mess something up. I called and they told me to come in the next day after 8am-I was in and out in 10 minutes and it was no charge. What a gift! It made my day. Thank you, Speedline!

Came to speedline as the shop I have used in the past for years has new management. As an owner of a 21 year old car it's important to have a mechanic you can trust. Speedline suggested an easy fix for my check engine light where the last place wanted over 500 bucks to replace sensors. Ron also took the time to explain what to do with another issue with the brakes. Appreciate the service here and think we found a new shop!

Great service and friendly staff! I’ve gotten my brakes done at a fair price. They were so helpful replacing the lightbulbs for my headlights! I would absolutely recommend them!

So glad to have found an extremely kind and fair mechanic in the neighborhood. Brought my car in thinking some worse damage to the underbody of my car had happened but Ron fixed and re-secured everything so quickly, thank you again!! Will be bringing my car here from now on.

This place has the best crew. Extremely helpful and polite people working here. I'm so happy they allowed time for me to come in with a last minute issue with my headlight going out. They got it fixed right away. Wait time was minimal which I am so thankful for because I truly wasn't expecting to be able to get it done today. I saw the way the mechanic treated every person who was there before me and it was just so refreshing to see such a respectful attitude toward everyone. I come from a small town in Texas and it was so great to see that approachable service in a big city. 10/10

Been coming here for 15+ years since I moved to Chicago. When Yelp was a thing, these guys had 5 star ratings (unheard of at the time). I live nearly 8 miles away, but will always make the drive, because of how much I trust them. Ron has always taken care of me, priced fairly, and pretty much always has the car ready the same day. Other shops in Chicago will yank you around, but after 40+ appointments and 3 different cars, they've always had me covered. Can't say enough about how solid their work is, and how they do business.

I called for an oil change and for a sound coming from one of my front wheels. Speedline identified my problem and gave me a fair quote before fixing my vehicle. I dropped my car off in the morning and picked it up after work. They were friendly and their shop was clean. Speedline has a nice waiting area as well. I highly recommend this family business for your car repair needs. I will definitely be back.

I rarely make reviews, but still in shock here: 8:30 AM weekday arrival for new customer appointment oil/fluid service. Greeted by employee/manager shouting at me about car blocking sidewalk aggressive, disrespectful tone. I Informed this person, “I’m your appointment, where do you want the car?” Response was, “I don’t care,” even learning I was a customer, continued to shout disrespectfully. I told him to cancel the appointment and left. Entrance to the shop crosses the sidewalk, no customer parking or loading area. I chose not to deal with aggression first thing in the morning at the mechanic.

Our favorite neighborhood Auto shop. You get an honest, straight answer from the team. Only suggestion I would make to have the owner be a little more courteous especially to the female patrons.

Super nice! I hit a curb and took a chunk out of my tire, and they let me know honestly that it wasn’t big enough to worry about for free. I appreciate the honesty, will definitely be back next time I need something. Really nice sitting area too!

I've used Speedline a few times, most recently for a new set of tires. They are always thorough in explaining your options and are fairly priced (I called around to get quotes for the tires). Service is speedy, and there is great communication.

Excellent, excellent service! While a very busy shop, getting in and out quick and turnaround on the car was fast. Owner is friendly and easy to talk to; although I went in for just routine oil change and rotation, they were forthright about some additional maintenance needed without insisting that I get it done that day. Very straightforward and not trying to sell you something you didn't ask for, Speedline is a very down-to-earth shop that is simply doing the work that people need done. Ultimately took their advice and got the additional maintenance done and still walked out paying less than $200. Grateful to have found these guys!
