I called for an oil change and for a sound coming from one of my front wheels. Speedline identified my problem and gave me a fair quote before fixing my vehicle. I dropped my car off in the morning and picked it up after work. They were friendly and their shop was clean. Speedline has a nice waiting area as well. I highly recommend this family business for your car repair needs. I will definitely be back.

Been coming here for 15+ years since I moved to Chicago. When Yelp was a thing, these guys had 5 star ratings (unheard of at the time). I live nearly 8 miles away, but will always make the drive, because of how much I trust them. Ron has always taken care of me, priced fairly, and pretty much always has the car ready the same day. Other shops in Chicago will yank you around, but after 40+ appointments and 3 different cars, they've always had me covered. Can't say enough about how solid their work is, and how they do business.

I rarely make reviews, but still in shock here: 8:30 AM weekday arrival for new customer appointment oil/fluid service. Greeted by employee/manager shouting at me about car blocking sidewalk aggressive, disrespectful tone. I Informed this person, “I’m your appointment, where do you want the car?” Response was, “I don’t care,” even learning I was a customer, continued to shout disrespectfully. I told him to cancel the appointment and left. Entrance to the shop crosses the sidewalk, no customer parking or loading area. I chose not to deal with aggression first thing in the morning at the mechanic.

Our favorite neighborhood Auto shop. You get an honest, straight answer from the team. Only suggestion I would make to have the owner be a little more courteous especially to the female patrons.

Super nice! I hit a curb and took a chunk out of my tire, and they let me know honestly that it wasn’t big enough to worry about for free. I appreciate the honesty, will definitely be back next time I need something. Really nice sitting area too!

I've used Speedline a few times, most recently for a new set of tires. They are always thorough in explaining your options and are fairly priced (I called around to get quotes for the tires). Service is speedy, and there is great communication.

Excellent, excellent service! While a very busy shop, getting in and out quick and turnaround on the car was fast. Owner is friendly and easy to talk to; although I went in for just routine oil change and rotation, they were forthright about some additional maintenance needed without insisting that I get it done that day. Very straightforward and not trying to sell you something you didn't ask for, Speedline is a very down-to-earth shop that is simply doing the work that people need done. Ultimately took their advice and got the additional maintenance done and still walked out paying less than $200. Grateful to have found these guys!

Brought car into the shop for an issue. After 2 visits, issue was fixed satisfactorily. Other shops weren't able to fix this issue. Ron gave sound advice on how to maintain vehicle. As a bonus, they took care of a 2nd issue that previous shops weren't able to fix. A+++ for service and thoroughness.

Cannot believe it was rated only 4.8 as I would give a 6 out of 5. Ron and his team is literally WONDERFUL!!! I felt very lucky to find this place by Google Map for an urgent repair. Ron was super nice and helpful to get it fixed within the same day! What impressed me a lot was that he remembers all customers' names, including mine as a first-time customer, which made me feel very welcomed. And same as I saw from previous reviews, he has a lot of customers staying the business with him for more than 10 years. I would surely recommend Ron's team if you need someone to help with your car!

I’ve been taking my Civic to Ron and his team since moving into the city about 2 years ago. They do good, honest work and explain repairs and maintenance in a manner that’s informative but not condescending, which has not been my experience at other places. Their prices are affordable and typically beat the quotes I’ve gotten from the corporate chains, and I feel confident that they’ll do and recommend the work that’s needed vs. trying to create non-issues just to make a quick buck off the lesser informed. There have been a few instances where I’ve taken my car there without an appointment because I was anxious about a weird noise or to get their opinion on a service that was recommended, and each time they checked it out, either saw that it was harmless (got fresh tar stuck on my tires and he and his team dug out as much as they could on the spot without charging me) or gave an honest assessment and completed the repairs efficiently and at a fair cost (got my serpentine belt and hydraulic tensioner replaced). I highly recommend Speedline to anyone who’s looking for a place who will take excellent care of their cars!

My car battery was flat and the tech came to my apartment and powered up my car and drove it to his shop and replaced the battery all in the matter of minutes. Quickest service ever. Team was able to help fix my car in a jiffy and they were so friendly. Extremely efficient.
