I went in last week because I was a little paranoid that my brake pads were running low. After inspection they reassured me that they still had plenty of life left and did not charge me. This is the second time I’ve used this place. They do great work!

They charged around 800$ for break/calliper issue. They claimed that they changed parts/oil for both sides but after repair we couldn’t drive for 10 miles it again started smoking. We dropped out car again with hours and they took 2 working days and weekends. During those 3 days we got 3 excuses/diagnosis 1- faulty parts so waiting for replacement 2- it was oil issue so we will only charge 200$ labor fee (when it was their fault or faulty part) , since we confronted that why do even I need to pay labor charges since it’s not our fault they found a workaround that’s the 3rd excuse 3- they found new problem and changed that part with exact $200 which was fine until previous call. Also once when we called they said car is ready and when we reached there it was not ready at all then he told waiting for replacement. Finally we ended up paying around $1000. Which others quoted 650-700 with 5 yr /5000 miles. So now I don’t trust this shop anymore. Will never go to them again. Problem is I can’t trust them anymore.

I was very happy they were able to work on my mom's 1986 Toyota Corolla/Chevrolet Nova CL hatchback. Prices for service are substantially higher than a couple years ago, but they were able to work on the car right away and it feels like new again. They also noted additional items that will need to be done soon. Service hours of 8am-5pm on weekdays are rather limited.

Do not give this business your money. They upcharge up to 350% on parts. On a whim, I googled the price for front quick struts and rear rotors, parts that can be as low as $150 and $35, and Star & Northwest Auto Care charged me $440 and $200 respectively. I was a loyal customer who exclusively used this auto shop for almost 5 years and they swindled me with a smile on their face. When I confronted Donn about this absurdity, he sulked away saying, "I have to make a living."

Prices at this shop have gone way up in recent months. The mechanics here usually do a quality job but my recent experiences have not been pleasant. The last tech that worked on my vehicle overtorqued the lugnuts when putting on new brakes & rotors then I had a employee at tire discounters put all new lugnuts on which I had to pay for on top of the $850 for new brakes & rotors from Star & Northwest. My car now makes additional noises when turning the wheels to the right and I have to push in the brake pedal tremendously hard to bring my car to a complete stop.

Honest quality workmanship. You can trust this team with all of your car needs. They have a ton of experience and have very fair prices. Hard to find someone like these guys this day of age.

Been driving from Toronto to Houston when my engine started sputtering and shaking violently at highway speeds near Columbus OH. Took my car to this mechanic and they offered to fix it on the same day. They replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils for me at a very reasonable price. Thank you for the quick service and your friendliness.

They have been a blessing through years; telling me straight if I sincerely needed work done. Recently had an issue where the dealer told me something was wrong with a part S&NW had replaced (along with something new). Now, I have no idea if that was the case or not but I went ahead and got the work done and S&NW gave me refund on the service they provided. I almost wish I had just towed the car to them, but you never know if it's an issue only the dealer service people can fix. Whether as a first or second opinion S&NW is someone I trust to give me the honest truth.

I explained that I needed my splash guard that was dragging to be fastened and while all other places said I had to wait for days to make an appointment, they saw me right away AND helped me free of charge! I was shocked with how kind and helpful they were. I would highly recommend this business!! Thank you so much!!!

Been looking for a reliable auto repair shop for years. Found Star & Northwest Auto and they’ve been great. No nonsense. Don’t try to fix something that’s not broken. Tires, brakes, wheel bearings, steering wheel position sensors, not much they can’t do. Very reasonable and efficient. 5 stars.

Great auto shop! Simple and fast service, they never try to sell me on anything. Both times I've gone to their shop - once because water somehow got into cabin air filter and another time for an oil change - that got me in the same day and had my car done within an hour. Prices are really good too.

I have been taking my cars for service at Star & Northwest for 30 years. They do outstanding work at a reasonable price. They are very honest and reliable. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else for service!!

I recently bought a 1992 f150 and the previous owner had not really kept up on maintenance. And being a 30-year-old car it had some issues. I have been having a bit of a starting problem the past couple of weeks and it just pooped out on me the other day, fortunately it started and I just drove it to Star and Northwest. I was able to drop it off. Being this was totally unplanned I was very surprised the next day when the mechanic called me and gave me a starting point of where he wanted to begin. Being an older car there is always a possibility it could be multiple things (With older cars things wear out over time). So he went thru his estimate, and mentioned It would take a few days to get the parts and again reminded me that it could be just the starting point. With a 31 year old car that is to be expected. First of all its very hard to find a place to work on older cars (they have also worked on my 2002 dually) and second it its great to find a place that's is so prompt and gets right back to you. Yep its not cheap, but I know its labor intensive and im not knowledgeable in that stuff. Also, I need my truck! Theyre courteous and very easy to work with. Recommend.

They were very courteous and expedient in their work lots of customers telling me how wonderful and trusting this service operation is. Thanks took my vehicle right in for service change the oil checked all fluids and check tire pressure rotated the tires reset the timer on the oil for future changes Thank you so much Star and Northwest service center

Trustworthy competence you can depend upon at fair prices. I have relied on their expertise for over two decades and have never been disappointed. My children and grandchildren continue to take advantage of their service for all of their vehicles despite having moved away from the Grandview/Arlington area years ago.
