They make you feel at home. They will take care of whatever you need and are up front about services and prices. Also, best oil change price in probably a 200+ mile radius so I will definitely return and recommend everyone to go there for car service and car purchases. Bonus: Tony is a cool guy and will take care of you!

Took my car here 12/09/24. They quoted me between $450 to $500 to replace both rear wheel bearings. One was alot worse than the other. 12/13/24 they call to let me know they broke the parking brake on the left rear so an additional $110 for parking brake shoes and hardware. 12/16/24 called saying now a spindle is needed for left rear, so another $200-250. They said the right rear was already fixed with new bearings but they had to order the spindle for the left. So I waited. Finally 12/24/24 they called saying it's ready, total $722.78. I go pay and pick it up. They told me left side had new wheel bearings, parking brake shoes& hardware and spindle had been replaced... right side they only replaced the wheel bearings. This took a little over 2 weeks total. I drive it home 15 miles and back to work on 12/25/24( total miles driven 45). 12/26/24 I get halfway to my daughter's house and I start hearing grinding and feeling it on every rotation of the tire( total miles driven 60 at most). I called back and as it's almost closing, they tell me to bring it back the next morning. I dropped it off and about 7 hrs later, they call to tell me now it needs the right spindle, that the bearings are still good but it needs the spindle. Quote me another $291. I tell them I'm not going to keep throwing my money away on repairs. I picked it up. Again they reassured me all it needs is the spindle as both wheel bearings were brand new. On 1/4/25, I had another shop pick it up to tow it to their shop which was closer to me. When he looked at it on the flat bed, he asked what I had already had fixed and said he didn't see how because the bolts didn't appear to have been removed recently. He took it and called me 1/7/25 saying it's fixed. It only needed the right wheel bearing replaced as it was worn completely out. I didn't need a spindle only the wheel bearing replaced. He shows me the wheel bearing that was removed from the right side and its completely worn out... Definitely not been replaced in years. So I paid Starks $722 but had to pay another shop $391(tow included) to replace what I just paid Starks to replace. I call them that day and again Tony confirmed both sides had wheel bearings replaced. I told him I have the old bearing to prove it had not been replaced. He said the owner was out of town but would be calling me about this. I told him I was giving them a chance to make this right. I was out in total about $1100 at Christmas time to fix my car. $722 to Starks and $391 to another shop to fix what Starks was already paid to fix the week before. I went up there this week as nobody ever called me and again the owner is not there. Tony takes pics of the worn out wheel bearing and promises the owner will call me. That was 3 days ago and I've not heard a word from them. Don't let them scam you like they scammed me. They asked me to give them a good review and I did at first but just 2 days later I was ready to change it. If I could give a negative star rating I would but lowest I can go is a 1, which they don't even deserve. All I asked was for them to do the right thing. I guess that's too much to ask from a shop like this one.

Starks auto truly saved us when I was 39 weeks pregnant and needed a new radiater. We had brought our two kids in who are absolutely wild, but it didnt matter to them, they were friendly to us and took the effort to put on the channel that would help our kids feel welcome and us parents more welcome as well, it made sense to go back for standard maintenance and to check our (new purchase) old car to see if everything looked good. We plan on making the hour drive for any maintenance from here on out. Welcoming, warm environment and the signs all over about God being in control really makes you feel better.

Tony was amazing to work with. We were out of town when we had an issues with our car. He immediately assisted when we arrived. He explained everything in detail including pricing beforehand. The team was fast and efficient.

When I first started getting my vehicles fixed last year, they w were great! Now, the last several times I've been there, I either don't make it home or I make it home with more messed up than it was. I just went Saturday to fix thermostat and they want me to have it towed back, No: been there and done that!! I can't keep trying to keep a vehicle running if someone is just going to keep neglecting to fix it properly, I'm done and NOT going back!

Called Starks because they could get us in same day after my husband’s truck wouldn’t start. Had it towed to Starks. Customer service was great at first. They called me and told me It was the starter and gave us an estimate on service. We said great go ahead. They called us next morning and said they changed the starter and it still didn’t start. They then said that the motor was locked up and gave us an estimate on a new motor with 10,000 more miles on it than our current. I was a little taken back that it was the motor as the truck was perfectly fine before that day and it even ran that same day and it was a sudden issue that it wouldn’t start. Asked them why the motor would lock up with no indication of a problem before now and they said it could be a number of things but typically no oil or not having regular oil changes. I told them I get oil changes regularly. I called my husband and he said tow it home we would figure it out. So I called them back told them I was having it towed home. They asked what my plan was on getting a new motor and if I would be getting a new vehicle. They went into salesman mode. Wasn’t certain what to do at the time as I didn’t think it was an issue with the motor at all. My husband then had the truck towed to a different auto repair store. It wound up being an issue with the battery. Not sure what diagnostic tests Starks ran but it wasn’t enough diagnostics ran. Their technician that day was not thorough or correct on his assessment. We are thankful the owners of Starks didn’t charge us for their time or the part they said they put on. According to the mechanic we took it to after Starks said that Starks either put our original starter back on or they put on another factory starter. Thankfully we got a second opinion or we could have been out thousands of dollars for no reason. So if your gut says “nah, that ain’t right” go with it and get a second opinion. Do google searches on the issue and if google gives you three things it could be before a motor issue go with your gut.

These guys repair both American vehicles and foreign cars and trucks. I found this business about two years ago. Their estimates are spot on. A real honest business. My used Volvo oil change was less than $50.00. If I had gone to a dealer, it would have been over $100.00 Dollars.

I don't love needing to repair my vehicle but Starks is definitely my go-to. They don't gouge, they're friendly and knowledgeable, and incredibly quick. I would highly recommend these guys for your car repair needs!

Right at opening time:Right off the back and the first thing I noticed was cleanliness A+ for a repair shop.the second was the hospitality and communications and was flawless. My only concern was labor cost, which was reasonable, n I don't mind paying for talent (good). Saying that so far so good A+ thanks I'll definitely be visiting again

Starter wouldn't turn over. They replaced the fuel pressure regulator and then the alternator. Neither had a damned thing to do with the starter. Evidently can't understand English. Approx $1400. Voltage regulator failed before 200 miles had been put on car. There are bad mechanics and then there is Starks.

We were traveling from Alabama to KC and had stayed the night in Jonesboro. That Saturday morning an engine warning light came on and said to get the car in to be checked immediately. We did a Google search and called. They said to bring it right over and they looked took it in for a free diagnostic test. We needed a new alternator. They worked us in and got the part installed so we could finish our drive home that same day. We were in a tough spot and the crew at this shop took care of us. We are grateful for their hospitality and great service!

Awful experience. I went in to have my alternator looked at, he looked at it and told me it would be $500 to fix, which is most certainly NOT how much it would cost. I told him no thank you, and still have to pay $100 for a labor fee. Nowhere in my life have I heard of a $100 fee for checking the charge of my battery and nothing else. Ridiculous.

This was my first time using their service, when I called for information he said they had the lowest prices in Jonesboro and they were absolutely correct! The service was fast and friendly, the waiting area was very comfortable and the employees were very professional!!
