I’ve been taking my car to Stress Free Auto Care for several years and they continue to deliver excellent service! They are thorough when they review your car, taking pictures of any problem areas and compiling a report, so you can see it for yourself. This auto report gives me great peace of mind and have alerted me to some hidden problems I wasn’t aware of. I’ll be returning for many more years to come!

Been coming to Tires Unlimited for years for my tire needs after being treated shabbily by a competitor. I’ve always had good service here.. Returned recently for a new set of tires. Appreciate the Sunday appointment that allowed me to keep my weekday commitments. The webcam let me see when my tires were on and get a head start on getting back to pick up my car

Overall good experience with scheduling and getting the work done with high quality. We brought in our Tesla Model S for brake fluid and cabin air filter replacement. While the work was done to our satisfaction, the staff couldn’t tell us if the brake fluid was bad and actually needed replacement. They followed our instructions and did the brake fluid replacement, but would have been nicer to know if the work was actually needed on our car.

Super smooth and quick Service and Repair shop! Great live updates with pictures of damaged/worn parts, no pushiness if a repair is waived. I bring both my older (2008/2015) here and never had a problem.

Their texting system and complimentary service check saves a ton of time. I love how they give you access to their shop cam, too. Gene and the rest of the crew are awesome and go out of their way to accomodate anything that comes up.

Reason for 2* (downgraded to 1 star after owner response) I called to get a quote for battery replacement. I was given a price of battery + labor for total around 239. I was originally quoted 220 from dealer but they were unable to get me in until Saturday so, given the quote I got from my call, I went ahead and scheduled with stress free auto. When I got there for my appointment my price for car battery has went up to 390. Since I was already here, I had no choice but to go forward with service. I have attached an image of the quote and appointment I had originally scheduled with dealer along with my cost from invoice from Stress free auto. My only question is: why is same service $170 more than dealer? And why was my quote via call so low? update after owner's response: I want to clarify, this is not my first time at the business, this is my 3rd time, so the business had my VIN and license plate. I have attached screenshot from carfax as support. Call representative also pulled up my account during my call to get quote. Owner response does not address why same service cost 2x the price, instead decided to blame customer for lack of VIN number. How do you not have my vin number when I have had my car serviced here since 2022. I have the receipts from you with my VIN on it that I can upload as well.

This place does decent work for generally decent prices and has lots of availability. I have taken my 2022 Model 3 and my 2016 Cayenne S here several times. My issue is from my most recent visit with the Cayenne. I had taken it in for alignment earlier in the year and it is driven minimally since it is a secondary vehicle. It has maybe 5k miles since it was aligned. The steering wheel started shaking badly and really pulling to the right so I made an appointment for "Other" after talking to them, and explained the issue in the comments. When I picked it up they said that the tires were out of balance. I asked if they had checked the alignment and received a lecture about how tire balance causes steering wheel vibration and alignment causes drifting. I reminded them that part of my documented issue was drifting to the right. The bigger issue for me was that as I was leaving the guy checking me out said very seriously that the car "needs a lot of work" and that the estimate is quite high. He asked if I would like to go over it and I said no, I would show the recommended list of issues to my boyfriend. He persisted but I said to just send it to me. Considering the vehicle was here 6 months/5k miles ago and there was nothing considerable on the list I was not super concerned. The very serious list included: - Labor to **inspect** cabin air filter $197 + $125. No reason provided to believe that it needed replacement. Cost did not include replacement filter. To me, this just seemed like a way to get in there then say, "well, if you don't replace it now you'll have to pay the labor to access it again." - Labor to check battery status $48. AutoZone does this for free... - Computerized alignment $199. I literally suggested they do this at this visit and they did not. There was a whole discussion about it. There was mansplaining. - Hood lift supports $228. These probably do need to be done but I would not classify this as a very serious issue in need of immediate repair. - Suspension control arm, lower replacement $2837. This one really bothered me. In their inspection report they indicated that there were some surface scratches but that there was still minimum play and it was NOT identified as an issue requiring immediate attention. My boyfriend called and spoke to them and it is still within tolerances, does not need to be replaced, and should just be monitored. - Transmission fluid and filter $963. The Cayenne service schedule does not even recommend until 160k miles or 16 years old (the vehicle has 86k and is 8 years old). This vehicle is not used for towing or anything like that and there was no reason provided that it would need this. Overall I really got the impression that they were trying to scare tactic and upsell me. I will probably not be going back here, or if I do I will send the vehicle with my boyfriend. Very disappointed.

As always, another great experience at Tires Unlimited! I’ve been taking our vehicles here for over 26 years! Always great service and at a reasonable price. Today, my vehicle was completed ahead of the estimated time. Outstanding! Very impressed on the new technology they use for keeping you updated on your vehicles progress! Gene is at Stevens Creek Blvd location in San Jose and really cares about the customer...he made certain that my car was road worthy....safe and in the best condition before it left the shop. My Master Cylinder was failing....which the shop I had taken it to 1 month previous, ( to be checked out because I'm a delivery driver now) failed to spot when doing an "inspection". I will take my other vehicles to TIRES UNLIMITED STRESS FREE CARE only from now on...Gene kept me apprised of each step of the repair process and as they peeled back the layers to find the rattling sound in my front end....made my vehicle ROAD WORTHY SAFE AND I FEEL COMFORTABLE KNOWING THEY STAND BY THERE WORK.

I traveled to the San Jose area from Southern California to purchase a vehicle. Immediately after purchasing a vehicle I called stress free and they were able to get me in right away to do vehicle inspection. They were efficient and thorough with my inspection and I highly recommend them.

Unfortunately my experience was not stress free. They Throw Away my original college alumni license plate covers without asking. We've been using those alumni license plate covers for 7 years and they meant a lot to us. After realizing it's gone, we had to call them multiple times and ask them to go through trash bin to reclaim those items. The plate covers were also full of grease when I finally got them.

Upon my first visit (referred by a friend to correct something another shop left incomplete), I had such a great experience, I vowed that Stress-Free Auto would be my new auto shop. And true to my word, I returned for my car’s regular maintenance, and am quite pleased. Thank you, Gene, and crew at Stress-Free Auto! And this past visit, Brian handled business very professionally. I got the license plate frame mounted so I can help spread the word!

mentioned that their best person for Porsche alignment was out sick. I appreciated the transparency. Completed job, though it was slightly behind schedule. It was great that Brian kept me informed. They provided a thorough report of the alignment, in addition to the free multi-point inspection. The only minor feedback I have is that it would be great for Stress-free to contact me to reschedule my appointment when their mechanic called in sick. Would have given 4.5 stars for this minor feedback
