I've been coming here for 12 years. When it was called Mobil 1. Even though they no longer use Mobile 1. Dom, still changes my oil while I bring in my choice of mobile1 that I continue to use in all my vehicles. The service is excellent! I just wish they'd bring back Mobile 1. As long as Dominic is running things! I'll continue to use Strickland. And bring my own oil

Came here on 1/10/2025, more snow was coming down and forecasted to continue through the weekend. The 2-person tech team worked efficiently to change my oil and gave me quotes for replacing the bulbs for the front right headlight and left turn signal. They were respectful and honest regarding the lightbulbs and other services that my truck needed. I’m also thankful for the 25% military discount that they kindly honored. Thank you for taking care of our service members and their families!

Dangerous, non- caring, and neglectful! I took my vehicle in for an oil change on blankenbaker rd. The attendant told me l had oil in the pan and that I needed to have it checked out that “it could be a gasket”.A mile down the road I hear this awful sound like my engine is going to fall out. I called the blankenbaker rd shop back and the person blew me off he said you have a terrible oil leak from the top of the car engine. Not once did he say “Bring the car back so l can see what the noise is “You don’t have to be a mechanic to do that. The noise wasn’t there before.I drove home afraid , had trouble making turns, and had to drive real slow. I Stopped at a local mechanic shop on the way home and told him what was told to me from the blankenbaker 10 minute oil change shop. As I pointed to my car the mechanic said your skid plate is on the ground. He fastened it back and l haven’t heard any noise. Called the shop back and the man said the skid plate had oil in it. Why not wipe the oil out and fasten it back. Next he said you had two screws missing ok tighten it back my car wasn’t making that noise before.Bottom line they did not care and the only reason why he said “I’m sorry what can I do to make it right “ is because I told him I would be writing this review. Don’t send any more coupons for oil change. I will never be back!

Dominic runs a great shop! I had a bad experience with Valvoline Instant Oil Change that cost me over $500 because they checked my air filter and didn’t get it back in properly. I always felt like VIOC did not properly train their associates, but I did not know where else to go for quick oil changes. Google reviews were great for Strickland on Blankenbaker so I gave it a try. Well, I am glad I did because now I know exactly where to go quick, friendly, competent, and non-pushy service, Strickland on Blankenbaker! Thank you, Dominic!

Came to get my oil change with a discount coupon I got in the mail. I mentioned it and showed it to the guy and he said they can only do it with cash since there is some problem with their credit card machine. He said some other person came with a discount and it took an extra 15 minutes to get it to work. I immediately suspected they were lying just to avoid the discount. But tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and just went ahead and paid full price because the oil change places around me were closing soon anyways and I wanted to get it done. Then someone pulled up next to me with a truck. I overheard them talking about a discount and it sounded like the guy also denied the discount for him. Never going back to this place. Seems shady. Wouldn't have been hard to just manually give a discount. I do not recommend this place. Save yourself some time and money by choosing some other establishment that honors their discounts.

We have been using these guys for years for oil changes. However, ever since Strickland Brothers bought them, the prices are astronomical and they don’t use Pennzoil anymore. Thankfully they allow you to bring your own oil. HOWEVER, as I found out today, that oil change price has jumped from $25 to $50, which is just as expensive as an oil change elsewhere where I’m not bringing my own oil. Corporate is ludicrous that people think they’re going to pay that and pay for their own oil. They’ve probably lost all our business for good, and I hate that because the guys at this location are great and super friendly. Nothing against them, just against the corporate greed since they got bought.

Apparently sometimes they forget to replace the oil plug and then your engine fails on a relatively new vehicle and they refuse to take responsibility.

Over three months ago, my husband took our Honda to Strickland Brothers for a simple oil change. Three days later, the car died in the street. After a mechanic's inspection, it was discovered that the oil cap underneath had not been put back on, ruining our car’s engine. We attempted to communicate with Strickland Brothers, giving them a chance to review our claim and do the right thing. We sent an email outlining the timeline, inspection details, and photos, but received no follow-up. After calling multiple times, we finally reached someone only to be told the claim was denied without any explanation. I would like to understand the reasoning behind this decision, as we ensured all the facts were properly presented. Being disregarded and ignored throughout the process is simply unacceptable business practice.

This was my first time using Strickland Brothers for my oil change. Dominic was friendly and fast. He even gave us cold water bottles which I greatly appreciated! My husband and I are both veterans so we also got a 25% discount. With the fast and courteous service along with the generous discount, we will definitely be back.

Carter and Seth were fantastic! i went in right before closing and they took the time with me and my concerns. They got me in and out efficiently. As a woman, i get nervous going to get any maintenance on my car and i felt so comfortable the whole time and wasn’t treated any differently. thanks again!

Guys were nice enough, but I’ll never come back here. We were there for 20 minutes before dude realized I was in a 2019 Ram and not a 2009 Tacoma. He said he matched the vin and everything and tried to play it off, but there’s just no way lol. Took them forever, probably because they were looking for everything on an 09 Tacoma and not the 2019 Ram. I was just baffled at this. Again, guys were friendly, but I’ll never be back. How on earth do you miss that?

Strickland Brothers is the new name, but the staff is still the same, and the entire reason I go. Dominic and his crew have been servicing my car for years. He goes above and beyond to ensure my vehicle is up to date on everything, and is always prompt in getting the work done within the allotted time and within a budged. I couldn't recommend anyone else in Louisville area higher.
