I called a few places this week because my car kept dying. SAS was so nice in the phone and helped me see day. They explained everything and sent me the detailed reports. Definitely a woman friendly shop. 10/10 will be doing back

I highly recommend this auto repair shop. I broke the passenger side view mirror on my 2014 Ford Edge. The part wasn’t available from Ford, so Shannon checked all of his sources to find a replacement. The work was done quickly and for a reasonable price.

Had a fantastic same day service experience here at Sun Auto. Marie made for a WONDERFUL point of contact by answering all my questions, speaking to my concerns and having a great attitude throughout the whole day! The rest of the team in the office seemed to share the same positive attitude and sense of service, and at the end of the day the pickup process was fast and smooth. I highly recommend this business for automotive service needs!

I’ve always felt so intimidated to go to autoshops, but this place never makes me feel that way. I love that they always give a comprehensive exam of the car and a detailed explanation if something is wrong. I appreciate that they also email it so it’s there for reference later. I also appreciate how they never make me feel intimidated to do anything. Appreciate the great service :)

This was the first time I had used Sun Auto Service and I was very impressed with their diagnosis of my issue with my car. Turns out I had a dead battery which they replaced and their service staff was well - trained for identifying the issue and replacing my battery.

GO HERE IF YOU NEED WORK DONE ON YOUR CAR!!! I cannot sing enough praises about this shop and the crew. I came in to my appointment at 9am with my 2021 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS with a laundry list of things needing done like a fluid exchange and oil change with filter replacements, brake pad replacements, axle and wheel alignment, state inspection, and tire change and balancing. That said I fully walked in to my appointment ready to spend 30-60 minutes going over everything, options, etc. However, to my pleasant surprise, after telling them everything I was looking for it was a pretty much “Great! I’ll take the keys from you and we’ll get started!” We dropped the car off and had forgotten something out of the car and had to come back to the shop, we must have been back within 5 minutes or so of dropping the car off, and when we returned in 5 minutes, the car was already up on the lift and the team was already working on the car! I was completely dumbfounded by how amazing this crew was! They got everything completed and I had my car back within 24 hours of dropping it off! I cannot say as to how many people work at this shop, but it felt like there was 20+ in the back ready to go as soon as a car came rolling into the lot. If anything, this crew deserves a state of the art garage and I can only imagine the feats they could pull off! I wanted to give personal shoutouts to Marie S. for helping us out through out the whole process. Her and the tire specialist (I’m sorry I cannot remember his name, I want to say it was Jackson or something by like that). But then and the rest of the crew made it feel like I was handing my car and keys over to a group of friends I’ve known for years and this is the 100th time they’ve worked on my car. If I could I would give more than 5 stars! Thank you Sun Auto Service! I know where I’m taking my car from now on and where I am sending all of my friends, family, and connections in the Austin Car Community to them for all automotive needs!

I've had negative experiences the last two times I've taken my car in for a state inspection. Both times I've called ahead to confirm availability and dropped the car off in the morning. Both times they've seemingly ignored my car for several hours and didn't start the inspection until I called (or came back) to see if it was ready for pickup. I understand the mechanics are busy and have more profitable work to be doing, but if you're not going to take it seriously, why offer state inspections at all?

An absolutely pleasant experience! Took my Mustang in to get the brakes checked out as I was hearing some squealing, and was shortly after called by the Store Manager, Shannon, to be informed my brakes and rotors have a lot of life left and I didn’t need anything replaced. Shannon then informed me what he believes is going on, then proceeded to give me multiple workarounds should it continue to bother me. I genuinely felt cared about as a lot of other places will sell you and tack on things you don’t need replaced. Even car newbies like myself are treated with respect here and not taken advantage of. Quite the opposite actually as they did the brake check for free and gave my car a complimentary tire rotation (~$50 at a lot of other places). The front desk staff were incredibly friendly. The environment was clean, air conditioned, and had comfortable furniture to sit on. All of which is pretty rare for auto shops! Haha. In summary, they won over a customer in me and I HIGHLY recommend you take your car here if you need it serviced. You will not be disappointed!

I took my son's 2018 Kia Soul in because he reported a vibration. They said they would do a quick road test, and called me back in about an hour. They found the problem: it needed two new tires, one of which had separated. As we were talking, I remembered that Sun Auto had put two new tires on last year and said the other two still had 3 to 6 months of wear left. A year later, I guess I got my full use out of those tires. Very grateful my son didn't have a blowout! They put two new tires on for a reasonable price, and were able to match the existing tires that they had installed last year. P.S. I went in the next day and asked to see the separated tire. I felt pretty foolish for not having realized that was the issue. They cheerfully looked in the shop, found it, brought it out, and showed me the damage. I felt better after seeing it. The steel belt had separated, probably due to the excessive wear on one side. It hadn't broken through the rubber yet, so I doubt I would have realized what the issue was. I asked if I should get an alignment. They told me to bring it in and they would run a check. I did, and the check was negative, so the car was good to go. I appreciate the extra effort, and not selling me an alignment that I didn't need.
