This Sun Auto location is consistently efficient, gets details right, follows up via phone before proceeding with any work or when the car is ready to be picked up. I have never been given any reason to doubt their honesty.

After the alternator and battery in my Mercedes blew, Steve went above and beyond to get my car running again. He was very communicative during the process and did his absolute best to fix it for the lowest price. I can’t say thank you enough! Highly recommend this shop.

Reliable, honest, professional. They price compete and have senior discounts. Sun Auto has very professional auto technicians and they use quality parts. Ask for Giavannni Montanez service manager, he actually does better than ‘price compete’ estimates from other automotives, he worked with me by going over all the issues with my older car and came up with a much better quote than other places then he kicked in a free fix issue from a previous shop, then he continued with great future offers. Sun Auto is a fair and reliable place for all of my car repairs so I don’t have to keep going around getting quotes. Cactus location Las Vegas, NV.

Stellar service, no upselling, professional, yet approachable and friendly, very clean location, and fair pricing. This is my new auto repair contact in my phone. 11.09.2024 Update: I have been living in Vegas for a year now, and this remains my go to auto shop. It is top tier service, and my original post statements have not changed.

Steve and Ed were terrific to work with. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I will go there with all of my future automotive needs and would not hesitate to send friends or family to them. Another visit - another terrific experience! A tail light was out on our van so we Took it in Saturday morning, they got the key, pulled the van around, and they had the light bulb replaced in about 15 minutes. This place is awesome! They’re honest they’re quick and they know what they’re doing.

The staff at this shop is the best. They let you know exactly what your vehicle needs, but they don't pressure you at all. I feel like I always get an honest diagnosis from the technicians here. They are friendly, helpful and efficient. Prices seem reasonable, as well. I highly recommend Sun Auto in Southern Highlands!

I’m skeptical of going to car shops (because I’m a girl and I can easily be taken advantage of when it comes to pricing) but right off the bat I didn’t feel like this at all. Steve helped me out the whole time, not only did he save me money on my repairs but the customer service was also great. I’ll be coming here for all my car troubles.

This Sun Auto location is the only place I am ever bringing my car to again! Carmax and the Subaru dealership were telling me it would be a week and Sun Auto took care of me the same day. They cover carmax warranty work and also have in house financing available with 6 months interest free, which means I can get new tires today and not have to worry about a blowout or negatively affecting my credit. The staff are master mechanics and are great at explaining things to non mechanics like me. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Hayden and Steve seem like good people but unfortunately, they work for an auto shop. I went in for a specific repair that caused the whole vehicle to wobble. And after the ‘diagnostic’, they agreed that the motor mounts ‘were shot’! Ok, let’s repair them for $1,700. Agreed. Then I receive a phone call from Hayden saying, ‘You know what, after looking at the motor mounts, they look okay. You need spark plugs, coils and such n such.’ That total comes to $1,800. UGH!!! For a freaking glamorized tuneup!?! So trusting Steve and all the auto shop talk he convinces me that we should go that route! So I reluctantly agree! Hayden calls for pickup and says the car is running GREAT! Pick up the car and it runs poorer with the same wobble as when I dropped it off with! Frustrating, they attempt and successfully lure customers to do one repair knowing that the other repair still needs to be done and in hopes that you’ll just get it done there! How about do the repair asked of you and suggest other repairs upon pickup???? Does anyone know of an honest shop? Or does that even exist??

I got a flat tire and it was so lucky that I discovered it near here. They checked it out and said they could patch it without replacing the tire. All the checkup and repair were for free. I really appreciate their honest service. Highly recommend!!

I typically don’t write reviews however this recent experience I’ve had with sun auto was truly disappointing. I’ve been coming here since it first opened and I’ve never had a bad experience till now. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a diagnostic for a check in engine light. Left my car there at 3:30pm received no call for an update, I had to call the store an hour prior before closing to get an update. Spoke with a young gentleman and stated that the parts needed were around $70ish and $90ish for labor. He noticed that I had warranty under my vehicle and offered to give the warranty company a call the next morning. I then received a call from Steve stating it’ll be $200 to fix the issue and it was not worth calling the warranty company for that amount. And mind you my deductible is $100, so yes it is worth calling in my opinion. Also to add I’ve had work done with this company that was less than that amount but Ed (I’m not sure if he works there anymore) was still willing to call the warranty company to see if it would get approved. But now for some odd reason calling the warranty company for $200 is not worth it, seems very lazy and unprofessional. And to top it off I left my car there for a day and a half and still didn’t get an oil change. Disappointing.

This shop is untrustworthy, the diagnostic fee that the service advisor said he would apply to the repair was charged on the final bill (typical bait and switch). Paid $800+ for a replacement of a thermostat and the work was not done as there wasnt any coolant in the reservoir. When I let them know they jumped to top off the reservoir but there was deeper underlying concerns. I lost vacation days and had to pay the same repair at another shop.

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at Sun Auto. I have been a loyal customer for many years, having spent tens of thousands of dollars at their shop. I knew the staff by name, including Steve and Ed. However, my recent experience has left me feeling betrayed and taken advantage of. In April 2024, I brought my vehicle to Sun Auto for a mid to basic repair that most would be covered under my extended warranty. Despite this, I was without my car for three full months (end of July). The staff showed no concern in trying to get my vehicle back to me, they would making excuses and lying about the progress of the repair. They promised that it would take another week, but it ended up taking months more. I reached out to the corporate office in frustration, and while they intervened, the progress was still slow. Steve offered to take a few hundred dollars off the bill, but it was a meager discount considering the trouble and stress I had endured. When I finally picked up my vehicle, it was in a not much better than the condition that it was when I dropped it off. It was so dirty, was totally out of gas, the coolant was totally empty, and was making a huge loud noises the full way home it didn’t feel even safe to drive. It felt like it was about to fall apart. It almost felt like they messed the vehicle up even more maybe becauseI I called corporate on they when they were not getting it done. I still have issues with the vehicle and will need to save up more money to take it to another shop. I believe that Sun Auto should have been honest with me from the beginning. If they were not equipped to handle the repair, they should have told me so that I could take my vehicle elsewhere. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and that Sun Auto owes me a full refund for the portion of the bill that I had to pay after the warranty. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Sun Auto for anything more than an oil change to reconsider. I will never return to their shop, even for that.

I recently had my car serviced, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Steve and his team were incredibly friendly and professional. Their service is always great. Pleasant people to deal with. They don’t try to sell you stuff you don’t need. My husband took a tire there to be repaired. There was no charge. We go there for any service our car needs. Highly recommend

Steve, Ed, and Hayden were all very helpful; informative; and actually cared about the situation. Most mechanics can’t give you a straight answer, let alone actually fix the issue & in such a timely manner. All of their parts that they replace and their work is warrantied and they do such a great job! They may not be the cheapest (or most expensive), but it’s because you’re getting more than what you pay for with Sun Auto. Simple, stress free experience, great and knowledgeable staff, and a repaired car! I’ve had my fair share of headaches with too many other mechanics to ever go anywhere other than Sun Auto in the future. (I have worked with Sun Auto multiple times for different reasons and this review is true about every encounter). Not to mention, I am a woman who knows more than most people about my vehicle. This is the first place I’ve gone to where they don’t assume I’m stupid lol it’s quite refreshing.
