I’m always impressed anytime I take my car into this shop. The staff are personable, they always go above & beyond (think refilling washer fluid or tires or the battery in your key fob when you just asked for an oil change) & I NEVER feel pressured into getting work done on my car. If something is required that’s detrimental to your car, they’ll let you know but won’t intimate you into doing it through them. They are truly about what’s best for the customer & understand financial hardships. I’ve been going here over 10 years & they will continue to be my go to mechanic! They’ve worked on my 1999 Jeep wrangler (which apparently was very tricky for a lot of mechanics) and my 2016 Jeep Renegade

9/13/2024: I sent an email to the address that was provided in response to my review and still have not heard anything after 2.5 weeks. Took my car in end of January of this year for installation of a driveshaft, clutch, and flywheel. The work they did was fine. The service was kind, such as staying late for me to able to pick up the car when the work was finished. But take photos of your car before leaving it there because it sustained body damage while on their property. When I picked it up, it was dark outside. The next day in the sun, I could see that the driver side body panel had been dented. When I brought it back the next day and pointed it out, hoping that someone might come clean if it was an inadvertent accident, I was told the cars are kept in an unsecured back lot with no cameras, so it was possible someone backed into it. But without proof, there was nothing they could do. Do not leave your vehicle without taking full body photographs of it. While one issue was fixed, I am sad to have to spend on body work. This is my dream car; I know every paint chip and scratch and the car was in my backyard, undriveable before taking it into Sun Devil. I won’t not use them again, but I’ll be way smarter about taking photos of my car at drop off if I absolutely need use them again.

Dropped off my 2011 gmc sierra for oil leaks got qoated 4500 for repairs dropped the truck off get called to pick it up drive home and truck is still leaking call back and told to drop truck off again fixed one issue picked it up agin the next day drove home still leaking told to bring it back left over the weekend and got a call it was done picked it up drove home and the truck is still leaking will not be returning here

Went in to get an oil change, when I came in to get my car the told my my battery failed their test, I asked how much it would be, they said like 220 for the battery and 30 for installation, which is already high for a battery. So I decided to go to autozone to have them double check my battery, they told me it was 100%. So I assumed they thought they could get a little more money out of me probably thinking I was a woman and didn’t know anything about cars, they also knew I was from out of town and I had to drive 7 hours back home. Honestly disappointed :/

I brought my car here twice the first time they stole my digital key for my apartment complex gate and I could not believe it I bought the key again not a big deal then I brought my car to the shop for the second time I went there in the morning dropped off my car the key was still there then I picked up my car and surprise the key was not there and I could not open the gate to get into my apartment complex it was more than obvious they stole it again. I went to speak with the manager today they said there is nothing they can do about this situation so we trust them leaving our cars there and if anything get stolen they don't have a way to resolve the situation and they don’t care or will help at all.

I’m from NY and if I am ever in AZ and need service this is where I would go. Everyone was courteous, explained everything very well, and gave options without pushing me buying something I didn’t need. Highly recommend.

On Saturday, my car broke down while I was driving from New Mexico to Phoenix. I had it towed to Sun Devil Auto, but the shop was closed on Saturday. I waited until Monday for it to open. Since I am Deaf, my sister called the shop for me. Paul, the manager, informed us that the technician hadn't yet looked at my car but would call us after they had. When Paul called back, he told us the engine was locked and needed to be replaced. My brothers communicated with Paul, who did his best to find a used engine. He quoted us $9,000.00, saying he would call if the cost exceeded that amount due to additional parts. When I picked up my car, I was surprised to find the total was $9,883.50. Paul never called to inform us of the price increase. Reviewing the receipt, I noticed they had done an alignment, which has nothing to do with the engine, and Paul hadn’t informed us about this. I drove my car back to New Mexico and discovered it had oil leaks. I was upset because the technician hadn't done a thorough job. They replaced the engine, intake gasket set, exhaust gasket set, water pump, thermostat, thermostat seal, antifreeze, and performed an oil/filter service. They should have checked for leaks, especially since Paul had initially said the engine locked due to low oil. A thorough inspection might have identified the cause of the low oil, potentially a leak, which should have been fixed. Paul mentioned a two-year warranty on the engine, so I took my car to a shop in Albuquerque. They found an oil pan gasket leak, which is expensive to fix. I'm very upset because Sun Devil Auto’s technician didn't do a good job. The warranty company refused to cover the repair. When my brother called Paul, he said there was nothing they could do. This is unacceptable! I feel taken advantage of as a Deaf woman. Their customer service was terrible, and the technician’s work was poor.

Had a great: Care free experience . My automobile was taken for a service oil change . The staff were amazing and priced very good for my luxury vehicle . Upon car service a list was given with suggestion for future maintenance. I was very satisfied with the overall experience it was my first time there I will be returning for future services .

I brought my car here without an appointment and they were able to immediately look at the issue. Turns out it was user error and I felt dumb for not knowing my car, but they were very friendly and sent me on my way. I would come back

Recently had front and rear shocks replaced at the downtown Phoenix shop. The service advisors, Paul and Alex, were very knowledgeable, polite, and personable. They listened thoroughly to what I thought my problem was, gave me their take and a heads up about potentially additional costs when the mechanic got involved. There was no up selling (which I appreciate) just plain straight to the point discussion about the vehicle problem that brought me to the shop. Overall, a VERY GOOD experience. They even happily applied the mil/vet discount! I would do business with them again. Highly recommend.

Alex and Paul were great. They made everything really easy for me to understand. They are verywelcoming to people who know a little bit or next to nothing about vehicle maintenence. I will be coming back if something goes wrong with my car.
