I am very happy i finally found a place where stuff care about customers and their needs in SF. I was there because - due to the mess in my car water bottle stuck under breaks and I though it is something wrong with my breaks :))) Anyway, my car got checked thoroughly I was treated nicely and professionally and it costs me not for the cost of kidney! Thank you, for the excellent customer care !!!!

Brought my car in because it was having multiple issues between the brakes & an oil leak. Isaiah and his team were extremely helpful and professional, giving me regular updates and at an amazing price. I almost never leave business reviews, but I made an exception for this place because their service was absolutely superb.

Awesome guys. Had a nail in my tire on a Saturday. Worst situation to have. They were able to quickly repair it and get me back on the road in a heartbeat - despite being backed up with other jobs. A quick 5 minute fix and I was back on the road. Thanks guys! You rock

Isaiah (the owner) is such a skillful, friendly and honest dude. My partner and I both have been going to Sunset Auto for over a year (2004 Toyota Tacoma and 2006 Scion xA) and he is always going above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. 100% recommend as your long-term mechanic.

Isaiah is a true oasis in an industry that can feel so dominated by cynicism and exploitation. My first time in, he popped open the hood and walked me through exactly what was going on and immediately built my trust. Since then I have been back many times for my old car and he has extended its life by far! There is no other place to go for real care. Big love!!

These folks helped me inspect my low air tire, and when it turned out to not be patchable, helped me find a nearby place to get a new one. A+ service. I’ve also gotten my oil changed here a few times, and my a/c serviced as well. This is my go-to auto shop, and I’ve got no complaints.

This has been our local mechanic for years and has been under new ownership for probably the last 2 years. They do a fabulous job of returning calls and fitting you in. They work hard to give you very fair pricing. I have a 2022 Lexus and they've been working on my car for a few years now doing a great job! My husband has an older Isuzu trooper and again always seem to find the parts needed in a timely manner. Highly recommend

Wow these guys are honest. Everything gets done for what they estimate the price will be, or less. And if nothings wrong then guess what; they’ll just tell you that nothings wron. I’d trust them with my kids if I had kids.

Sunset Auto Care is the only auto shop I truly trust. I had problems with my car and every auto shop tells me it's the battery. Sunset Auto Care is the only shop that figured out what was wrong with my car and even helped me purchase cheap tires and replaced them in a day. They truly go out of their way to help their customers. I cannot praise them enough. Thank you Isaiah, Sullivan, and Tim!

Sully was very personable and professional, and my brakes were fixed within a few hours. Unlike with most of the other SF car maintenance shops, I didn't feel like "just a number," but instead felt like I was getting a thorough and personalized service.

A few years ago my catalytic converter was stolen and I went through hell trying to get a check engine light removed once I had a replacement converter installed. Multiple mechanics either gave me a shrug or told me to shell out $6K for a new one and Isaiah at Sunset Auto Care was the only person I talked to who suggested changing out the oxygen sensors to a specific brand which cleared the check engine light for good. Not only that he also fixed an annoying squeaking sound in my car that the dealership was going to gouge me hundreds of dollars over before they would even fix it. Great guys, extremely reasonable prices, very clear about explaining problems and fixes. I won't take my car anywhere else.

I went to Sunset Auto Care the first time for the SFPD etching program . When checking in and during work, both the owner Isaiah and his partner Mark are very friendly and courteous answering questions with smiles. After work has been finished, I purposely requsted some quotes on certain maintainence issues that I had experienced with other shops previously and found that they are very open and to the point, no messing around, no hard sell, very competitive pricing and sometimes even suggested free examination prior to service decision. Sunset Auto Care has gained my trust and I like to express my appreciation for their free contribution to deterring theft in San Francisco .

I've taken my 2001 Honda to Sunset Auto Care a few times. Each time, Isaiah has been super helpful in explaining the issue, quickly getting the problem fixed and doing so at a reasonable price. I appreciate and find his up front, no nonsense approach refreshing. Despite AAA telling (or selling) me I needed a new battery, it was great to hear that wasn't the case during my recent visit to the shop. Thanks Sunset Auto Care for your services.
