This is by far the best mechanic I’ve ever worked with. My vehicle has experienced a number of issues recently and Jon at Sunset Auto is always quick to lend a helping hand. He’s communicative, kind and extremely thorough. While my vehicle was in the shop, he fixed an issue that wasn’t even on my list of repairs without being asked. I’m very appreciative of his help and would recommend Sunset to anyone and everyone in search of a reliable mechanic.

Jon at Sunset Automotive is as good and honest as they come! I’ve had work done a few times there and have always been more than satisfied with the quality of work. Pricing is fair and when it comes to my daily drivers, I want the job done right. The last go-around my AC wasn’t working. Jon and myself were both convinced it was time for a new compressor $1,000+. He diagnosed the system and found an issue elsewhere, saving me over $700. That’s why I will continue to do business here!

Jon was amazing and worked effectively and efficiently on my Chevy Trax I’ll never take her anywhere else he’s fair and works with anyone! You can tell he takes pride in his business !!

Heard about this place through some people at work. Had a couple car issues. Jon helped me with towing information and got me all taken care of. Quick and reasonably priced. Didn’t try to upsell me or take advantage of me like other places do. Will definitely be bringing my car back for services.

Took my SUV to Jon, was having some strange issues and had no clue what the issues were. I don’t see myself ever going anywhere else again! You can’t beat the customer service and communication he gave every step of the way, he sent detailed photos with an in depth quote of his recommendations, all very reasonably priced. He even arranged to have our vehicle towed in as our insurance was backed up and wasn’t able to do it for a few days. I haven’t had luck with previous mechanics and felt like I was just treated like a dollar sign, I never once felt this way with Jon, and I can’t stress just how reasonable his prices were. I would recommend Sunset Automotive to anyone!

My son and I bought a Honda Element from Jon and I cannot say enough good things about him and Sunset! We live in Minnesota so we had to facilitate a number of challenges, including an inspection, transportation details, etc. Jon was beyond helpful and the car is great! We needed something reliable that we could depend on and in good shape at a reasonable price. Jon gave us a VERY reliable car in great shape at a GREAT price. He even took the car to an independent shop for us for a used car inspection-at no cost! I cannot recommend him and Sunset Automotive enough-thank you Jon!!!!

I meant John the owner about a year and a half ago and he does a phenomenal job he's very fair can't tell you enough good about him I'd highly recommend him to anybody

He's putting my motor in my charger and I'm feeling the best right now from meeting him and watching his comments......got my car back and its running at its best....I got my thunderbird getting done now..so I'm off to the race thanks to Jon

Jon was amazing. After being told there was nothing wrong with my brakes from another shop, Jon found the issue and had it fixed very quickly. He was very informative through the entire process of what was going on. I highly recommend Sunset Automotive and will be taking all of our vehicles here from now on.

Recommended by daughter. Needed 50k mile service on my 2018 Mazda 6. Made app't on line night before, dropped car at 8 next morning and had it back by 1 pm. All required maintenance was done, car washed, and cleaned. Jon also told me I would need brake pad service at the next visit. Would highly recommend Jon due to his thoroughness and honesty.

My husband had been doing most of our auto repair simply because I never felt I could trust anyone after being told repairs were needed that really weren't from some larger auto repair shops. Hubby is very happy to have found Jon! He is very honest and thorough. He is able to give a hierarchy of what needs to be done when so you can plan and prioritize. This has taken a lot of burden off my husband and I'm actually happy (kinda 😂) to spend money on repairs knowing it's helping out Jon. He is super nice and really seems to care about you as a customer! Cannot recommend enough!
