BAJA is the only place our vehicles will Go for tranny work! He is honest and affordable! No car work is ever affordable if you have to pay out of pocket..but when my frugal husband says it is.. IT IS A TRUE THING…and the work is money well spent with much more worth than cost! Again to Baja - thanks for everything you always do 🫡🙏🏽

Had an A+ experience at Sunset Transmission with Baha. My car was having transmission issues, which I had never had before, and Baha carefully explained to me possible issues that could be happening with the car. He meticulously diagnosed the car, ruling out mechanical issues, before determining it was a computer issue. Then he was able to source a hard-to-find BMW transmission control which solved the issue. He saved me a few thousand dollars compared to the dealership! He also called me daily with updates and was very responsive via phone/text. Will always recommend Baha for transmission issues. Thank you!

Baha came at the recommendation of my mechanic Tony. He immediately knew exactly what was wrong with my car and fixed it up in 1 day! It sucks for your car to suddenly not start when you're trying to get to work in the morning, but my experience with Baha was so smooth it made a bad situation okay.

Had bought a ranger with a horrible transmission. Took it here and man they did a killer job. Super cool and they were on it. Prices were perfect. Doesn’t beat around the bush and straight forward. Highly recommended

I don't often write reviews but this shop is amazing and wanted to let everyone know. I called around and Sunset Transmission was well below my other two estimates for a rebuilt transmission. And, it ended up not needing an entire rebuild so it was even less in the end. If I ever need any transmission work done in the future I will be bringing my car to Baha. He is honest and kind.

Referred to Baha at Sunset Tranmission by my mechanic. Older car, 100k+ miles, Kia Sorento. Had a slight problem with gear shift one day. Towed it in to be safe. Baha did a full inspection and even drove 20 miles (including freeway) and found no problems. Got car back and it's perfect. He didn't charge. I see why this place is so busy. If/when I need transmission work, DEFINITELY going here!

Took my 1993 Ford Ranger 4x4 here because the transmission failed. They did a fantastic job and the estimate/total were reasonable compared to other places I called. They even did an extra minor job for me while they were in there for free so I'm very appreciative for accommodating. Also took it back due to a potential transmission leak but it was due to another part. Overall good service, very communicative and honest, which are all qualities I seek in mechanics who work on my baby. Thanks again!

Baha was really helpful. We were told by another mechanic that we had a transmission leak. After a closer look he determined the leak was from the top of the motor. Really honorable guy and a great business. FIVE STARS!

The best experience I've probably ever had with a mechanic shop. Baha, who runs the place, is flat out terrific. When the transmission on my 2009 Ford Escape just suddenly died, Baha was upfront about the cost for the entire job to replace the transmission. Other shops I called wouldn't tell me much on cost, labor, or anything really. And when I finally got other shops to tell me what I was looking at for cost, it would've ended up being a couple grand more than what Sunset Transmission did it for. Sunset Transmission was upfront about everything and had the best price by a long shot. They also provided a three-year warranty on the transmission. Baha has saved me quite a bit of money on my older Ford Escape. He treats you as someone he truly wants to help and I can't say enough about this place and the guy who runs it.

Disclaimer: they didn't work on my car. Called for a code quote, they said, bring it down no charge. Code was an error and they happily sent me on my way. When my car transmission needs actual work I'm bringing it here.
