My son's 1st week at NC state university and his car broke down. He called me, panicked. After calling many shops (who were less than cordial), I got in touch with Luis at Super Auto. He was wonderful. immediately took car of my son and fixed the car expertly. He was compassionate and understood a parents angst when they are no longer local and able to take care of the children who are far away. Starting with the friendly customer service that their entire staff provides on every visit, to their great prices and high-quality work, everything about Super Auto Repair is top-notch. Luis and the staff are my go to guys for any leaks/flat tires I get - and they get it fixed in no time. If you need some repairs done, stop by to talk to Luis or any of the staff; if for some reason they can't provide the service they're always able to point me in the right direction!

Old parts were installed improperly, which were close to failure. Both the improper installation and belt failure could have ruined my engine but luckily didn't. The owner and mechanic won't admit fault. In October of 2015 I have my timing belt kit replaced at Super Auto Repair. September 2017 I needed my head gaskets replaced due to an external oil leak (not an internal leak). In the process of disassembling, the tensioning pulley bolt was cross threaded and jammed into my engine block. The tensioner was crooked and not flush with the engine causing friction with the cover. The tensioner was discolored and the cover partially melted because of overheating. The mechanic that replaced my head gaskets believes that although some parts were new, based on the wear of the belt, tensioner pulley, and possibly the water pump, they were at least 5 years old. The timing belt was cracked in multiple places close together across the width of the belt. An automotive engineer for a Tier 1 supplier inspected the belt and believes this belt came from a car that sat for at least 6 months without being driven or moved, not from a new kit (since I've owned it, my car hasn't gone a week without being driven). I confronted the mechanic and owner and they refuse to admit that it was installed improperly or that they are old parts. I was told the parts are now out of warrantee and they couldn't help me. However, this isn't a warrantee issue.

This place more than lives up to its name. The personnel here are friendly, thorough, and remarkably honest. Also, I typically save hundreds of dollars in repairs just by coming here rather than other shops. Regarding Luis, the shop manager, I can't think of anyone I trust more. He is completely trustworthy and cares greatly about all his customers.
