6/4/24 update- I am so grateful that they found a simple solution regarding a leak. I will continue to take my car there, as needed. I was so pleased with the work that Dennis and his team did on my car. I have gone to a dealer for 11 years and was finally convinced to try a non-dealer service. I was pleasantely surprised that they can do what a dealer can do (but for less costs). I would recommend them for your regular maintenance schedule needs (i.e. not only just for an oil change).

I actually came into Superior Quick Lube by accident but I'm so glad I did. I called Valvoline Instant Oil Change to find out what the price would be for a full synthetic oil change on my vehicle and they quoted me $114.98. I knew that in order to make that price work, I was going to have to make some changes...... I got off the phone and told my family that we would just have to begin eating cereal with forks for the next two weeks in order to save milk as well as having my family forego electricity on all even numbered days for the next month. After a minute or two of whispered grumbling, my family unplugged the refrigerator and agreed that getting the oil changed was a higher priority than lights and air conditioning. So, I set out on my mission for a full synthetic oil change. I pulled into the parking lot and was immediately waved into their bay by a slightly older, nay, distinguished looking gentleman, and awaited his instructions. I was a little skeptical of how quickly this man would be able to change my oil due to his friendly, yet professional, banter which was slightly slowed by his southern country drawl. At least, I figured, it would give me time to daydream about whether I should try to sneakily sell some of my children's toys without them knowing in order to afford a tire rotation as well. Unfortunately, my thoughts were interrupted by this man telling me that the oil change was complete and that my total was $79.99 plus tax. I immediately retorted, "Please, sir, don't play games with me. It's been less than 5 minutes. Also, you told me on the phone that it would be $114.98. I already signed my 14 year old child up to be an Uber driver so we could get the extra income to afford this." He, who I found out later was named Dennis, told me that they were actually done a minute before but he didn't want to interrupt my daydreaming. He then added that he never quoted that much and didn't believe anyone would. I was insulted! "Do you question my honor, good sir!? You DID quote me that price just as surely as this is Valvoline Instant Oil Change!" He politely responded that it was not, in fact, Valvoline Instant Oil Change, nor did I ever call. "Fair enough, rogue," I replied. "What place is this place, then? You bear the crest of Valvoline right there upon your banner!" He replied that it was Superior Quick Lube and that they use Valvoline oil, and therefore, have their logo. "Indeed," said I, "but what good fate has befallen my family and I that we should be granted this discounted bargain?" He replied with two statements. "Sir, you don't need to talk like we are living in the 1800s. Also, that is the same price for everyone who wants a full synthetic oil change in my shop." He then told me that his partner had also refilled the air in all of my tires, topped off my other fluids, and checked my air filter and windshield wipers, all included in the same price. As I pulled out of the bay, just 5 minutes after entering, my car seemed to whisper "thank you" to me and I never asked why. I called my wife and immediately told her that she and the kids could plug the stove and grandma's oxygen machine back in. She was perplexed and asked, "to what lucky star do we owe this good luck? Did you meet an angel?" "Not quite, my beautiful. I saved over 30 dollars by having my oil changed By Dennis Geary at Superior Quick Lube."

Great place not only to get your oil changed but also to get mechanic work done too. Had upper and lower ball joints struts and tie rods put on. They did an awesome job and truck drives better then when we bought it. Super fair prices and a great bunch of guys. Thanks so much. Found our new mechanic .

Appalling Customer Service: I was in the neighborhood and popped in for a quick tire pressure and fluids check as I have frequently done at many Louisville Valvoline locations. One of the technicians waved me into the bay and another started checking me into the system. This seemed like standard practice to me so I didn't question it. I was asked what kind of oil I wanted, and I said I just wanted a fluids check and tire pressure check. I was immediately berated by the technician for not telling him that in advance, and it was clear that without my knowledge or consent, the technician down below had already removed the premium oil from my car. I apologized profusely and said I was only interested in the fluids and tire pressure check, and that I have a prepaid maintenance plan with another mechanic. It was not my intention to do anything dishonest or misleading but I was treated so aggressively for their oversight in not asking or confirming what service I needed before removing the oil from my vehicle. He yelled at me that I should have gone to my other mechanic for the fluids check and that this was not a chain Valvoline location (despite the Valvoline signage) and that he would not have checked me into the system for just that. Based on the conversation I overheard between the technicians, I gathered that a few quarts of basic 5w30 were added to replace my premium oil. The other technician who was checking my tire pressure was told to stop helping me immediately because "we are done with that!". I am not a frequent reviewer, and in the event of a bad experience I do my best to work with management to resolve any issues like an incomplete service or incorrect order. I can see from other reviews that this location has a loyal customer base and most people are treated fairly and tend to return here. I certainly hope my experience was a one off, and I truly hope they reconsider the way they handled my situation today. Perhaps they would have taken a different approach if my husband had been in the car as well. And as instructed, I will not be returning to this shop. I will go elsewhere to have the fluids re-checked since I was not given any instruction as to what was actually done to my vehicle. If you need a quick courtesy fluids or tire pressure check, I highly recommend the friendly technicians at the Mud Lane Valvoline, who always greet you with a smile and ask what service you need before taking any action on your car.

Love coming here. The staff are always very honest and helpful. If you’re a woman, or anyone just clueless about cars, I recommend coming here because they won’t take advantage of your lack of knowledge like some other places lol

So fast, FAR cheaper than Valvoline, and SO friendly! I was shocked when my oil change was completed within 10 minutes. AND it was done correctly with clear explanations, unlike Valvoline.

Very unaware this place is a private owned business. They do not haggle with you to buy everything but the kitchen sink. Oil change took 7 mins and didn’t have to fight any of the employees trying to get me to buy an air filter. Great convenient place!!! Will be back for sure!

Finally an oil change place that don’t try and rob you. In and out in less then 25 mins and the service was great. Dennis and his son were respectful and professional. All that and at least 20 bucks cheaper on an oil change. Highly recommend!!! J

My daughter in law recommended Superior Quick Lube because they are nice, quick and do not try to up sale you anything and she couldn't have been more right. I drove from Lebanon Junction and I will definitely do that again. I highly recommend using Superior Quick Lube!

We have used this business for oil changes, brakes, electric work when the windows wouldn't go down properly, and when the locks didn't work in our truck. Every service they have performed has been done professionally, properly and on time. I love that we have this service locally, it is someone that we can trust, and they are not trying to sell other services or repairs for our vehicles. Just a nice local shop that understands service will get your customers back. 😀
