Take 5 Oil Change

Extremely expensive. They did change my oil. However…. The price was $136. (I’m glad I did not get the most expensive oil change option.) Before checking out, the serviceman tried to sell me a coolant service add-on for $140. I declined as I’m positive I could buy enough bottles of antifreeze to supply every neighbor on my street for that price. The receipt they handed me was for a different customer from that day. (I didn’t notice this until I had made it through the hideous traffic surrounding that area.) It was not a speedy process at all. Didn’t take 5 mins or even close to 5 mins. Maybe the 5 in Take 5 refers to the number of hundred dollar bills one should take with them for an oil change?

Still waiting on Kelly O’Neille to call me about a complaint I need to file, Essen Lane is not the Take 5 to bring your vehicle they messed up my oil pan and then had the nerves to tell me go to the one I’m used to going to which is on Airline in Prairieville which I did because they claim not to have the right part after they had done already broke mines Then told me keep the filter they put in since they couldn’t change my claiming my part was plastic and they used of metal

Very immature as far as customer service. They try to upsell which is fine, but when I said I had to call my dad to see if I should get a service added. A tech stated “Typical girl answer” and walked away.. Even though I already spent $124.00 WITH a coupon… Will not be going back.

A great place to get an oil change! They were friendly, efficient, and had my oil change done in a short time. They answered all my questions with a friendly attitude. Excellent service completed quickly.

Do not go here! Amateurs and crooks who will damage your car! Went here in March 2024 for the first oil change of my new car. After the oil change, employees told me that their car reader was down and to pay via Apple Pay. I did so and went on my way. At my next oil change at different establishment, mechanics told me my splash car was bent from being forced in place, zip lied to vehicle, all screws stripped, and missing facets. The damage was so significant that the mechanic told me they would be unable to change my oil because of the stripped screws. Went to this take 5 to tell them of the damage. They told me they would file a claim, never did. Returned a few weeks later, and the manager informed an employee that me that they would again file a claim (they again didn’t), and that a claim would certainly be denied because the original oil change was done under the table (I just did what the employee told me after the service was complete). I suspect the original employee offered me this option because they know they damaged my car and didn’t want paper trail. They offered me a refund for original oil change but the damage done to my car was estimated at 200-300 dollars. At this point was sick and tired of being given the run around for weeks, went to Honda dealership. Told them I went to take 5 and all their smiles dropped, immediately told me to never go there. Strongly recommend against ever going here. Again, they’re crooks, incompetent, and will avoid all responsibility when they inevitably damage your car. Worst oil change of all time, worst customer service of all time, damaged my new car. Avoid like the plague!
