Take 5 Oil Change

If you are in a hurry then don't waste your time here. Although it says "Take 5" they need to add a 0 to the name. Took 50 minutes to get in the bay. Then still waited for them to start. I understand that they were short handed but they didn't seem to be in any hurry to try and get people in and out. Total time about an hour and half. They couldn't get the oil cap off even trying to use pliers. Said I couldn't be on the floor but finally agreed and I took it off in one twist. Now for the good: the manager George was really nice. All in all was not the best experience I've ever had at an oil change place but not I guess it could've been worse after reading some of the other comments. Not a great first experience with Take 5.

The reviews are accurate. I was sold off "Take 5" assuming it would take a short amount of time to have my oil changed. I pulled up at 8:30, here it is 9:47am and they have yet to start on my car. If they hadn't opened my hood as soon as I pulled in I would have gladly left. Definitely not a 5 minute oil change.

Employees are more interested in their own personal conversations and ways they can get out of work, instead of servicing vehicles. I couldn’t beg them to take my money. Waited an hour to be pulled into a bay, just for an individual to refuse service due to a “service latch” . When I have been happily serviced at this location in the past? Sad waste of time on a week where time is so limited. 0/5 if I could.

This place is terrible. Go anywhere else. Slow and try to sell you stuff you don't need. Don't know what they're doing. Lazy with bad attitude's at every location I've stopped at.

Will never come back to this establishment again. They advertise a 5 minute oil change and we have been here for 21 minutes already and we are still not done. To much talking, grab butt and joking around. Not a professional place service is mediocre at best. Will not go back. Update while typing they are still not finished at the 30 minute mark. Great customer service! I had my dogs with me and the whole crew loved them and gave them treats. They didn’t have my trucks filter in stock and the attendant went to a near by part store and got it. Went above and beyond. Many thanks.

I have been using this service and taking all 3 vehicles here for quite some time. I was really disappointed in the service on this visit. It was supposed to be a fast visit which is what I’m used to receiving. There were 3 employees “working”, however only one was actually doing any work. One was very busy on his cell phone walking around cussing, one was busy playing with a window washer and acting like this was his first day. He told me they were short handed and all I could think was Why don’t you prep for each car so the one working doesn’t have to wait. I came in seconds after the car before me and a different vehicle came right after I arrived. It took 55 minutes to do the car before me and while I waited they did the car that came after me. I’m not sure how they teach the employees to truthfully track customer wait time but I was waiting for 65 minutes before the one employee that was actually doing anything started my oil change. I use this company’s service because I have never had a problem before. This was a major conundrum this time. I will use this service one more time as I cannot judge them solely on this visit. However upper management needs to be more involved in training employees to prep and set up for each customer and not be on their cell phones and playing with equipment acting like they are there just for a paycheck. I did not feel like a valued customer yesterday.

Pulled up to a bay and they were all half asleep and seemed to be less than excited to help. Once they finally meandered over to my car they quoted that I needed a full synthetic oil change for $85. My car has never needed a full synthetic change and no other mechanic had ever suggested I get one. Once confronted over the unethical upsale they doubled down and I was forced to leave.

The staff was nice but the service wasn’t. They didn’t air up my tires but said they did. They also broke 2 of my trim clips trying to reinstall. They did zip tie it up for me but that’s not much in way of compensation. I will never go back there.

All of the guys were absolutely wonderful, professional, and funny. I was in Knoxville Tennessee. I normally use it here in Indiana and I am very pleased with take five.

Great customer service! The guys working the bays are extremely friendly and helped educate me about the engine recall on my Kia. Thankfully they top off oil as long as it’s before the date or miles on your sticker so I’ve been able to stop in almost weekly without any additional costs!

Wow. My wife asked me to come here, saying she had been before and it took about 10 minutes to get her oil changed, all while you wait in your car. Sounded great! When I arrived I only had one vehicle in front of me… and somehow that turned into an hour wait. During that wait, one of the employees arrived. Having been there a bit, I went to the bathroom and as I entered, the employee who had just arrived was leaving. He was smoking or vaping pot in the bathroom and was high as a kite. That wasn’t totally a deal breaker for me.. but man. No sense of urgency anywhere. So after my hour, after I finally get into the bay, nothing is going on. There were 3 guys servicing the only other car in there, and they were really taking their time. You could tell it was gonna be a bit before they even got to me. The fact that nobody seemed to care there gave me zero confidence they’d care about my car. I asked if they were short handed, and they said yes. Hey, I get it. But even after waiting as long as I did, I didn’t feel like I could give them my money or business and I asked to leave. I won’t be back. I’m at Jiffy Lube getting my oil changed.

Ladies, this is the place to go. These guys are FANTASTIC. They did a great job on my car, answered all my questions and never once treated me like a "woman" (although, yes, I am one of those car dumb girls). I will get my oil changed here from now on. I can't brag on these men enough.
