Poor employees training in customer service, and lack of respect to an elderly woman. During our last visit to Take 5 Oil Change I experienced an humiliated situation, and rude treatment just for requesting a military discount. Apparently, the company has instructed its employees to enforce a policy in regard to the discount offers to military veterans; it must be given only if the veteran is physically in the vehicle. In this instance, I am the veteran spouse's with proper ID, and I was driving a vehicle registered on the veteran's name, so when I presented an electronic coupon sent by Take 5 Oil to my email account, discount that in past services visits I have always received, this time, it was rudely denied, so I questioned the employee why is not mentioned in the email sent with the link to the bar code with the electronic coupon that the veteran must be present to receive the discount, the employee just said that the policy was an old company policy and previous employees did not followed it, and they were all fired, and now, they are all new employees. The two employees I dealt with were rude and seem very much stressed. This company needs to comunicate openly with customers about its policies in regard to discounts, and train its employees in basic customer service principles. I do not expect nothing for free for I know everything has a cost, but if you are sending me a coupon promising a discount to attract me to your business, so fulfill it, and don't cause overstress to your employees putting on them the task to denied it.

Update: I reached out to corp. and I was shocked that they offered a refund and I took the offer. I'm going to change my review to reflect that they do give a chit. Ideally I would suggest they have their wiper replacement policy set in stone and just not what the tech says. Would I come back? IDK, but if I do I'd change the blades first. It's cheaper to do it yourself. I recommend avoiding this location. I went in today for a car inspection and had the displeasure of dealing with Alejandro. Instead of paying $7 and leaving, I ended up having to replace my wipers because dried bird droppings and tree sap smeared slightly during testing. IT IS DRIED BIRD DROPPINGS and DRIED TREE SAP. WHAT DO YOU THINK IF ADD WATER WOULD DO? My wipers weren’t damaged or cracked, but they failed me anyway. This is the first time I’ve had to pay before the inspection, and I find it odd that in the past, the inspection was performed first, and then I paid if I passed. Very disappointing. There are surely better shops than this one. I guess they have to meet their quota. This place will fleece you for the utmost inconvenience to you. Email sent.

Yesterday 25NOV2024 at 0700 I went into Take 5 Oil Change for an oil change #0179 5996 Dezavala San Antonio, TX 78249. I had never been there before. Timothy motioned me to pull in as I was pulling in he began to yell at me and I said I needed to stop and then continued to motion me back in and I apologised and informed him that I had never been here. A young lady Maximana was very kind with greeting me and even giving me a water bottle. As she was explaining to me the different services with the prices Timothy made a very rude comment in which myself and Maximana kind of just paused in shock. I was very irritated but I began recording and when he noticed that I was recording he began to somewhat acquire some sort of customer service. They were the only 2 people there as I had gotten there early at 0615. There was no supervisor that I would be able to bring this up with. Maximana apologised to me for his rude comment and behaviour. Her level of Professionalism and ability to stay neutral with exceptional customer service was absolutely amazing. Timothy I’m sure received some sort of training in customer service and should know not to yell at customers or make rude comments that presents a lack of customer service which is essential dealing with the everyday public. Whether he likes it or not, he’s representing Take 5 Oil Change and that experience alone makes me not want to ever go there again. I will be sending this in email form as well.

Very rude and not friendly at all. Did not honor military discount. This location is close to my home but I won’t come back here. I have come before in a different vehicle and the service was great.

Had a terrible experience. No one ever came to talk to me. They offered water to all the cars behind me except me and the three card that got there after me were helped first and left before me.

Take 5 should be Take 55…the wait and service was the worst ever. Are you guys running a body shop or an oil change service??? There were at least 4 cars that were serviced that arrived after I got into the line. The car in the service bay next to me had at least 3 employees looking at the frame and undercarriage of the vehicle for about 30 minutes and there were another 3 employees in the break room hanging out during my visit. Never going back!!!

Only the initial greeter (Mariana, I believe) was friendy and professional. All the rest basically rude and unprofessional! Not good for Take 5!
