PJ is great! I went to him on a recommendation after my check engine light came on, and I’m so glad I did. He quickly diagnosed and fixed a problem that the Honda dealership had completely missed, and he walked me through his diagnosis in a very straightforward and noncondescending manner. PJ is efficient, thorough, and reliable (and saved me at least $1900!). I will be giving him a call for any car issues in the future!

Two friends recommended I come here and I’m so glad I did! PJ was so kind, explained what was wrong and how to fix it if I wanted a family member to do it. In the end I had him do the work. He was quick and responded quickly. I’ll definitely be going to him from now on!

Fixed my bumper and grill fast and at a very fair price. He offered to do a repair making do with what pieces I had instead of buying new parts. I tend to run into things so I'm sure I'll be using him again someday!

The owner is a highly-skilled body and fender man who made my Jeep Grand Cherokee look like nothing had ever happened. Great job sourcing and replacing parts, and the Black Crystal Pearl Coat paint match was dead on. To top it off, he had immediate availability when every other shop I contacted needed over a month to get to it, and some needed weeks just to do an estimate. The other estimates I did get were also much more expensive. Highly recommended!

Heard about techno paint from my wife’s friend who had excellent service from them. My car’s rear door got hit/jammed/dinged and no longer opened. I met PJ the owner who was professional and down to earth. There was no hidden charges, he explained to me what it would and could cost, how much it could cost at a dealer for comparison. Zero sales pitch, the man loves working with cars and treats customers like a friend. My car got fixed at a fraction of cost it would have elsewhere in a speedy manner and I cannot be happier. I highly recommend Techno paint to anyone who wants quality car service with fair price.

Getting a car repaired can be stressful but knowing that I can bring it here is such a relief and a great source of peace. If you’re looking for a trustworthy mechanic, P.J. is your guy! He is honest - only doing the repairs that are necessary - and treats everyone like a friend. He also quoted me at nearly half the cost of another repair shop. After he made the repairs, he took the time to show me a couple of the parts he replaced and explain what was wrong with them. On top of all that, he gave me a ride home and back as my family only has the one vehicle. P.J. truly goes above and beyond in all aspects of automotive service!

PJ is amazing! (Not just a paint shop, but full service mechanic.) I have taken 2 different Hondas here over the last 18 months for various issues. PJ is the owner and knows pretty much anything you'd want your mechanic to know about vehicles. He is a gracious and humble down to earth man and fixes the problems. Period! But wait there's more...The best part? He is honest and does not rip you off. Seriously go here and skip the dealership or the big-box upsell corporate places. He will shoot you straight and will not steal from you or have you do extra 'fixes' you don't need. Highly highly recommend. 10 stars

Shout out to PJ @ Techno Paint on Mellwood. Dropped off on Monday morning he ordered parts, painted and installed in two days and was $1000 cheaper than anybody else I called!! Great turn around time and price. Highly recommend him. Good as new!!!

5 years of PJ helping us with our used cars. I wish I could leave a new review every time he helps me. Today he was the ONLY mechanic/shop in Louisville who was able to get something done for us that was last minute urgent before a road trip. We've had him do so many different things over the years, even fix 6,000 in damage after an accident and he was able to help us not overpay.

Been goin to PJ for a little over a year now! He’s the only person I let work on my car because he is knowledgeable and educates me about what’s going wrong with my car and probable causes. He has a passion for what he does and that alone goes a long way! He’s completely honest about everything and doesn’t just want your money! If he can’t fix something or is having trouble finding the exact issue he will indeed let you know instead fixing what “he thinks” it may be! Overall he’s a great guy and he’s kindhearted!!! I don’t even write reviews but it’s a must I write one for him!!! He’s the man to see if you have ANY car problems!!!

I had my BMW serviced at Techno Paint for an engine problem that required advanced skills to complete and it was done flawlessly. I was updated on a regular basis and the car and engine was cleaned after completion. I would much rather bring my car here than BMW. Very happy customer here! I would fully recommend to anyone for any type of car.

Best mechanic I've ever encountered. I will let my personal experience with PJ speak for itself. When my wife's car was acting up, meineke wanted to replace all the belts and do about $1600 worth of work. I brought the paperwork to PJ who said we didn't need most of that, did his own investigation, and discovered the engine crankshaft pulley was dysfunctional. Meineke missed this entirely. PJ fixed it immediately and charged me for the part and hardly anything for labor. He also investigated a floorboard leak at no charge (he said he couldn't find the cause but he must have dislodged a clog in the sunroof drain because it stopped). Later on, when my a/c went out in my car and I couldn't fix it with one of those autozone recharge canisters, he switched a couple of parts on an electrical panel and it was fixed. I pulled right up, he fixed it in maybe 3 minutes, and he charged me $0. You will leave techno paint feeling like you ripped off PJ instead of the other way around!! He really will treat you like family. You don't have to look at google reviews anymore, just call him :)

My wife and I just moved from California to Kentucky to attend seminary. After four days and thirty-one hours of driving, we entered this land with one thought on our minds: it’s time to celebrate our momentous arrival over southern barbeque! We drove to a recommended restaurant where, just before going inside, I had a tragic encounter with a curb. It left a massive gash at the bottom of my front passenger side and dented the door in badly. Welcome to Louisville! Being completely new to this area, I had no idea who were the best body shops in town. I hopped on my local seminary Facebook group and asked, “Does anyone have a body shop that they recommend?” P.J. with Techno Paint was not just brought up; he was highly praised four or five times by the seminary students in the area. With due diligence, I got a few quotes from different shops, but P.J. blew them all out of the water. Each body shop wanted to completely remove and replace the damaged frame of my car, and they were going to make a killing on parts and labor that way. P.J. saw the car and thought the other quotes were outrageous. He offered to do a full restoration for 1/4 of the highest price that I was quoted! Instead of replacing the parts (which is what cost so much and took more labor), he was able to instead fix the damage; I got my car back today, and I can’t even tell where it was damaged in the first place! I am blown away by P.J.’s skill, and he has won me as a longtime customer with his honesty and helpfulness. When I went to pickup my car, P.J. even offered to check my wife’s car out on the spot since her check engine light had recently come on. All this to say, P.J. did amazing work and has definitely earned my trust and my recommendation!

When looking for a mechanic the most common question is: “Does anyone know a reliable mechanic?” With PJ, you do not have to worry. PJ is extremely reliable. He always tells you truth about what is going on. There have been numerous times where my car has had issues, but he’s told me how to fix on my own because they were not complicated. He does excellent work. I cannot recommend him enough!
