Brock at Tex Tune was really great to work with! I had an estimate for a laundry list of "have to fix issues" from another shop that was very expensive. I took my Volvo to Tex Tune and they were able to determine what actually needed fixing and offered very fair pricing. They were very communicative and explained everything very well to me in terms I can understand, as I do not know much about cars. They were not pushy on selling their work. Would recommend to anyone! My car is running great now.

Brock has serviced my (pretty old) vehicle twice now — the first time on a July 4, where he fixed my issue expediently despite it being a last-minute emergency on a holiday! He's patient and kind, and I appreciate that he always explains what he's doing and which repairs he thinks are necessary vs. recommended — his prices are also extremely reasonable, especially compared to other mechanics in town. I'll definitely go to Tex Tune for any car repairs I need in the future!

Came in by chance looking for the nearest mechanic as I was driving slow with an Ugly sounding car. He promptly fixed the car with a Beautiful price of just under 100 dollars. He found not only the missing bolt, but that some others that gone loose on my brake calipers, (both sides) and was thorough enough to find that my wheel bearing was loose as well. My truck runs great and smooth now! I've never had such an experience with a mechanic. And Brock is good vibes too. I had a good feeling about him. He takes the time explain and everything as well. He didn't even charge me for the bolt while a brand new one at the dealership would have forced me to buy a four pack at 60 dollars. He also has a gate to park the cars behind at night. I'm very lucky to have happened upon Brock by chance, and he's got a new loyal customer. Thanks again Brock!

If I could give a 10 Star Tex Tune is just that. My Tahoe was misfiring and Brock asked specific questions about my trucks issues ,and gave me a checklist as to what he diagnosed in comparing my findings. Brock is very knowledgeable and friendly and made my experience pain free . He is fast and takes a personal interest in his customers . Thank you Brock for your generous and reasonable service. Going to Tex Tune was probably the greatest experience I've had going to a mechanic. Brock was kind, knowledgable, communicative and took the time to explain what was up with my Subaru. The pricing was extremely fair and the work was done quickly. He let me know how to identify some things to look out for in the future and it was just an overall chill environment. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you love supporting local businesses!

I randomly had some car issues and went to autozone to get the part I needed. I was in an unfamiliar part of town so I googled mechanics nearby and found Tex Tune. Went over and they immediately got to work replacing the part. He was very helpful and VERY reasonably priced!!

I have found my new mechanic. Very reasonable priced, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous service. I had an alternator go out on my Camry. I checked with local parts stores and the cost ranged from 360-600 for the alternator. Called and spoke with Brock and he got me a remanufactured OEM Denso at a lower cost than I could even get a aftermarket 3rd party not as great quality one! Had it towed on Monday afternoon, it was ready early Tuesday morning. Also, told me I could run my battery for awhile, not not to wait to long to change that out. With the money he saved me, I went out and replaced my old diehard and got a newer AGM style battery! Thank you Brock for your honesty and friendly prompt service. You are now my go to guy for all car repairs moving forward.

Apart from being an outstanding mechanic, Broc is one of the most honest and trustworthy people ive ever met. His positivity is contagious. My car needed so so much work!! The kind of car not worth putting more money into if you know what I mean. He called me with devastating news. But being the great guy he is, he wrote up everything wrong so I could take it to my dealer. Shared detailed photos with proof of everything. I could not recommend him more! Very hard to find mechanics that have your best interest at heart. So lucky to have found him. THANK YOU BROC!!!!

I came in because I didn’t pass inspection because I backed into a parked car and my tail light and bumper became a little loose. The owner mentioned he isn’t a body shop owner, he is a mechanic so he won’t be able to fix my bumper but could take a look at the tail light. I didn’t expect my car to be ready until end of day but 2 hours after dropping my car off, I received a text saying my car was ready. I swung by and saw not only was he able to secure my tail light but he was able to pop back in my bumper. For someone who is “just a mechanic”, 10/10.

I had a fantastic experience with Tex Tune Automotive! The starter on my VW Vanagon went out, and I was having a very difficult time getting any mechanics to even take a look at it. I was turned away by 4 different shops, as not many people are familiar with the unique characteristics of older Volkswagens. Luckily, the tow truck company I was using suggested I give Brock at Tex Tune a call. He said Brock is the most knowledgeable Volkswagen mechanic he knows. He wasn't kidding! Brock was able to get the starter replaced with no problems. He went above and beyond by tracking down and fixing some small coolant and fuel leaks he found while working on the starter. He gave me a very fair price for the work, and I'm really impressed with his thoroughness. Thanks Brock; you're a lifesaver!

I was very pleased with the service and communication with Brock on a recent repair on my daughter’s car. She is a student at UT and we have no experience with auto repair businesses in the Austin area. Thankfully, I received a recommendation to contact Tex Tune Auto. Brock was able to get me a legitimate quote in minutes and scheduled the repair on my first phone call. Everything was completed in the same day that I had the vehicle dropped off. I feel very fortunate to have found a trustworthy place so close to my daughter. Highly recommend!!

Amazing work by Brock! He fixed out brakes and was very thorough in inspecting the car for any other issues. Was straight forward in what was really needed vs nice-to-have. Pricing was reasonable and better than most places I'd visited. Definitely recommend!!

My Jeep Liberty started overheating on the road so I decided to take it to one of the auto shop franchises around town. I was told that I needed to replace my radiator immediately and they quoted over $1K, but I was not convinced. I then took my Jeep to Brock who could identify the problem. Within a minute he could tell that the A/C fan was not working. I left it at his shop to run a full diagnostic. He reached out back through email with his service plan and a reasonable quote. He replaced the fan, drained and replaced the coolant, test-drove the Jeep to measure the coolant temperature and top off the oil and power steering fluids. I was very happy that he made sure that the problem was fixed before getting my car back to me. Brock is trustworthy and provides good work and great care for his customers. I will gladly come back for future maintenance of my vehicle.

My water pump went out on my 176k mile Kia Soul. Called around and got multiple $1k repair quotes. Tex Tune quoted me significantly less. Took the car to Brock who already had the parts and had the job finished very fast. Excellent communication, fast work, and stuck to his price quote! I'm going back to Tex Tune for my future maintenance and repairs! Highly recommended!

My Best Experience since moving to Austin. I was referred by a friend to have my Toyota pickup truck tune and have the 120,000 mile service. Brock changed the spark plugs and did some adjustment. I pick the truck and the quote was accurate to the billing. First drive I noticed that the truck had more power. I check my gas mileage regularly and was surprise that the mile improved more than possible. I am sure this cannot always happen but 27-to 29 on the highway going 70 on a 600 mile road trip. Two months later, I am still happy. Thanks to Brock
