These guys helped me out a ton when my car starter stopped working at the worst possible time. Responsive, helpful, reliable, and honest. Everyone else I called either didn't answer the phone or gave vague details and commitments; Leaky Gasket was always straightforward and they delivered.

I can't recommend Nathan enough. He was responsive, his prices were fair and transparent, the work was completed quickly, and the quality was great. I am very thankful that he replaced my clutch, and i will continue to go to him for all my car needs.

First used their mobile service to address a noise coming from what seemed to be the front of my car. Mobile "mechanic" came out, rode around in my car for three minutes, poked around aimlessly, then told me it was my back breaks and rotors. Opting to do this myself, there was in fact nothing wrong with the back brakes or rotors, and in fact the rotor shield on the front tire was bent, causing the noise. So I essentially paid $100 dollars to have a guy come out and give me an incorrect diagnosis for a problem that could be solved in 30 seconds. Still, trying to give the in-shop mechanics a chance, I tried to set up an appointment to address a suspension problem months later, and was cut off from responses a few texts in. Not great... *** Would also like to note that after I originally posted this review, the owner promptly texted and called me to say I was the problem and acted like a complete child.

I have been paying outrageous prices to keep my 2005 Toyota running until it broke down completely and I felt defeated. I decided to Google for a mobile mechanic and found The Leaky Gasket. Best car decision I’ve ever made. Nathon was absolutely great! My car wasn’t passing inspection and he did that work and more for a fraction of the cost for minimal repair from a shop. Best news? My car runs like dream, it passed inspection and I have a mechanic I can trust. Don’t hesitate to give Leaky Gasket a call - you deserve to know the truth about your repair needs!

Wait? A business that will come to your car, figure out the problem and fix it all at an affordable rate? Are you kidding me? Mike (the tech providing the service) was FANTASTIC, professional and knocked the job out of the park. Good communication, they showed up on time and at the agreed upon cost. HIGHLY recommend.

My daughter's car was hotwired and stolen. Luckily police found it. Nathan was able to put in a new (and nicer!) ignition very quickly. Definitely recommend this mechanic.

We had them come over to figure out what we did wrong installing a new starter. Within a minute they figured out I forgot to tighten the battery terminal. It's the old joke, you gotta know where to tap the hammer.

Charge me $80 just to look at my vehicle and give me a quote, after I have tried to reach out to him on multiple occasions to get completion of the job I have not received any response. Very sad to see that someone would take advantage of people in such a way. Be careful to give him your money you may not get service as expected.

I just had my first experience with The Leaky Gasket today and I genuinely don’t think I’ll call anyone else ever again if I don’t have to. Nathon was incredible!! I felt so comfortable the whole time, and as a female who’s having someone come to their home that is such a valuable quality for me. Nathon was professional and kind and clearly knows what he’s doing. I needed new breaks and had a mystery squeaking noise, and Nathon quoted me for the worst case scenario but it ended up being less than he thought. He also found out what the noise was and he was able to easily work around my chaotic schedule to find a time to address it later in the week so he can respect his other appointment times but still make sure I’m taken care of. Also, I love to learn, so I really liked how Nathon offered to show me what he was doing, and educated me on how he could tell what was needed. Anyways, 10/10 would highly recommend.

NEVER going back to a VW Dealer's Service Department! Nathon replaced my 1998 VW Bug's leaking Oil Pressure Switch AND replaced all 4 Brakes/Rotors for 60% less (combined Dealer + Goodyear Service Center estimate). I SAVED $500! Plus: - Nathon was an excellent and responsive texter/communicator - Only pre-payment was to cover cost of purchasing parts - Confirmed appointment time AND sent updates about arrival time on scheduled date - Arrived with a great smile and handshake - Quickly got down to business and completed all work in a timely manner - Finished with a test drive AND a request for me to check regarding persistent oil leak and confirm it was fixed - Offered observations about future service needs WITHOUT pressure. - Offered observations about Bug's structure that were much more genuine than anything I ever get from a dealer - Oil leak GONE plus I know The Leaky Gasket provides a 1 year warranty for all work!!!!! I live in Lee's Summit's suburbs and own my father's '98 VW Beetle (manual), to which I'm very attached. However - finding Nathon's business is awesome. He started off doing good, but I’ll tell you what once you have a problem with his job after a while with any or leaks or anything like that he will not come back and fix it even if you under warranty cause he did me like that recently I was under warranty he never came back to seal the oil leak that he done And then he gonna wait two months later and say you not under warranty no more watch out for him the guy he start off cool but at the end your car gonna be messed up he’s not gonna come back and fix it once you do good the first time, that’s when he’ll tell you all will go to the website and give me a good review. #9 Auto Repair The Leaky Gasket Mobile In the absence of any response from the company to this complaint despite our two requests to them, we are c Eur file on this complaint. I had a wonderful experience with this business! Not only was Nathan able to come diagnose the issue on my Subaru the day I called—he ordered the parts and finished the labor the next day in a very timely fashion. Costs were transparent and reasonable, he showed me what was wrong and how he did the repairs. I am more than satisfied with the work and the commitment to quality. I will absolutely be a return customer and recommend to anyone having car troubles.
