The shop not only got my car looked at in a timely manner but we’re very transparent with exactly what was wrong and also did a thorough inspection and found a few other things that would have been safety concerns. They communicated very well, explained it to where I could understand and I would highly recommend taking your vehicle here with car troubles.

Extremely disappointed with the service. I had my car at this shop for over a month, and during that time, they kept adding new issues that needed to be fixed, which only prolonged the process. The level of unprofessionalism displayed by the employees was shocking, and it felt like they were constantly upselling unnecessary repairs. The lack of communication and transparency added to the frustration. I would not recommend this place to anyone—it's best to find a more reliable and trustworthy shop. Run, don't walk, elsewhere! 4:43 PM on 11/29/2024: I am replying to your response from whomever this owner is, and I must clarify that my original message was not referring to "the previous shop" as you mentioned below. My Jeep was picked up this morning, 11/29/2024 at 8:00AM, from your shop in Jeffersontown, where Steve, the mechanic I was in contact with, was handling the communication—though I would describe it as vague. I still have the messages we exchanged. I want to make it clear that I do not want anyone from your shop working on my vehicle again. When I visited with my father, I was disappointed that no one acknowledged my presence, despite the fact that I am both the owner and the one paying for the service. This lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to your business and will not recommend it to others. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as I found the overall experience to be very frustrating and unprofessional.

I have taken my 2019 Chevy Colorado to The Shop Auto Specialist in Jtown several times over the last year for a number of scheduled maintenance items like oil changes, serpentine belt installation, coolant system maintenance, and spark plug changes. They have done quality work each time and completed all job on schedule. The Shop takes pride in their results. The Shop is customer oriented and honest when working through any concerns or issues involving maintenance and repairs. When I first took my truck to the shop, I was looking for mechanics I could trust, and it looks like I found them.

I took my vehicle in and discovered a great place to take my cars for repair. It's nice to find a repair shop you can trust for outstanding service. Today they won a new customer.

I took my vehicle to them recently and they did a great job fixing my brakes and more. They were honest and the prices were fair. Very friendly and I appreciated being updated via text, shown pictures of what needed to be fixed, and I was even shown the old parts of what was repaired when I arrived. The Shop will be my go-to now for auto repair.

I've been having some small intermittent issues with my car that are quite elusive, and they tried their absolute best to try and replicate them, but my car just wasn't cooperating. Nonetheless, they're really flexible and honest, and it looks like they're running a great shop!

There is not enough room on this review to truly say how amazing The Shop is! We’ve taken our cars there for various reasons, several times, but I’ll just speak of this last time. They got us in right away fixed what was needed immediately as they knew that was my daughters only transportation. They helped her with the cost, and her car is working perfectly. (They even text to follow up the next day to make sure)! Steven and crew truly go beyond and above, and definitely far pass expectations.

I have taken my car here a few different times for different issues. They have been exceptional every time. The staff is friendly and knowledgable and they are very open and transparent with cost and what is going on with your car. They have provided pictures of the damaged items/areas before they were replaced and the part removed from my car when I went to pick it up. The clear straitforward unambiguity is incredible and as someone who has been burnt by mechanics in the past taking advantage of my ignorance, The Shop is a welcome relief for a good autoshop.

I picked The Shop from Google since it had good reviews. I had a whole bunch of steering/suspension work on my old truck to keep it in good condition. They were very professional and communicated well. They were also very straightforward, showed me photos of a couple other issues they noticed, gave me different options, and even showed me the old parts afterwards even though I trusted them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I’ll definitely go back for future repairs and have recommended them to a couple friends.

My wife went to this shop a few months ago and could not stop talking about how great of a job they had done for a fair price. Recently, I attempted to go to another shop to get my tires rotated and oil changed and was blown away at how much they were quoting for a simple job; due to this I decided to check out The Shop. As soon as I walked in I was treated as if the owner and I had been friends for years and the prices were some of the best I've seen around Louisville. Our initial conversation went so well that I ended up having them do quite a bit of routine maintenance (tire rotation, oil change, air filters, battery change) all at once because I trusted them to give me the best prices (which they absolutely did.) To summarize, if you're looking for an honest, hardworking, and fair local shop then this should be the one you go to. I cannot say good enough things and I will only be going here in the future for any maintenance my car needs.

I honestly cannot recommend The Shop enough. At first I came in to get a second opinion and a quote. When I dropped off my vehicle I spoke with Steven about some history about the car as well as what our needs were. He was absolutely amazing, and after walking out of The Shop, I called my wife and said "I don't care if he charges us twice as much as the other place, I'm having them do the work." I never mentioned anything about having another place look at it first, so it wasn't like he was trying to undercut their quote. Even then, he made sure to try and get us the best prices on the parts and got us a couple of discounts on them. Honestly, after getting the quote from the other place, I priced it all out myself based on what they had said, and Steven and The Shop are definitely making money in some nefarious way, because it ain't in parts and labor... xD

Steven and Jacob were super helpful from start to finish! I found this shop on Google because it was close to my area but I’m so glad I didn’t go anywhere else. Communication was clear and they helped me resolve some really complicated issues on my car quickly and effectively! They’re good, honest people who clearly love what they do. We moved here 3 months ago and I asked my neighborhood group about a reputable, honest mechanic who was reliable and thorough. The Shop was recommended several times and now I can see why. Steve was knowledgeable and considerate, addressed all of my concerns, and left me feeling confident in the job that was done. Happy to have found our new family mechanic!

An Auto repair shops can be found anywhere and some are even proficient but not many can do real auto repair like tearing down a busted engine barely running. My Mustang, after a 116,000 miles, needed just such a repair. The guys at The Shop not only tore my engine down and made the repair and thus saving the car but enhanced the power out put by making additional upgrades to the engine as they reassembled - the whole time sending me pictures of the repair. Such engine work is not everyday auto shop work and was far more than I would have trusted many to do. All the guys at The Shop love cars and know cars. I recommend them to all and trust them with both my cars. In addition to doing high level auto repair the guys at The Shop are a Pun of Fun

Incredibly impressed with this place. I called asking about having some brake work done and they told me to bring it in any morning and they would take care of it. The repairs ended up being a bit more involved than expected, but they still managed to get everything done that same day! They were very communicative about my repairs throughout the process. They sent pictures and provided updates. All the staff I dealt with were very friendly and knowledgeable, taking time to answer any questions or explain any repairs. The prices of services were fair and reasonable. I will be back for any future mechanic services.

Needed my shifter replaced and my brother recommended “The Shop”. So, I took my car up there and made contact with Stephen and Jacob who are very great people to talk to and informative about what would be best for my car. Made an appointment and they put the shifter in and it now feels way better than before. 10/10 recommend going there for any service you need for your car. I will definitely be taking my car there if any issues occurs.

Went there to get my oil changed today and my service was excellent. The guys was very knowledgeable and help with something that was also going on with my vehicle other the oil change. They did over charge me for anything and I will be a returning customer for sure.
