If you’re not taking your Jeep to Thom’s you’re doing yourself a disservice. When Greg texts you that your vehicle is ready for pickup and “good as new” it’s not just a figure of speech. Every time they do service for me I’m shocked how good my Jeep feels & runs. Kudos to Greg & the team for their quality of work & attention to detail.

I have been a customer of Thom's Four Wheel drive for more than a decade. The expertise and personal care offered by this facility is consistent and much appreciated. Thom , Greg & co offer guidance in maintaining and getting the most out of your vehicle. Individual service plans can be formulated for your pocketbook with work needed to be done laid out in a timely manner. Pushed repairs? Not at Thom's. Honest and dependable assessment and work done here. [Addendum 2024] In the time since I wrote this review , the owner Thom has retired and sold the business. I am happy to report that manager / technician Greg Poznanski remains in his position. When I was looking for a new garage to service my 1995 Toyota Previa van , I read many reviews for garages in the area. One of the business employed Greg. I read review after review praising Mr Poznanski for his honesty and expertise. The last review I read , stated that the reviewer was so sad to see him leave the garage. They helpfully stated that he had now gone to work at Thoms. Reading these reviews convinced me to go to Thom's and check out the premises. Then as now.. the facility is pristine. Greg kept my Previa in perfect running condition until 2016. At this time he advised me that it was time to sell. He told me he could continue to service and repair my vehicle but it wouldn't be to my advantage. I purchased a new Honda Fit in 2016. In doing so, it ensured that I would be having my upkeep and repairs done at the Honda facility while under warranty. As soon as my warranty was over.. Greg welcomed me back to Thom's. I continue to receive the excellent service I have had.. all these years.

The team at Thom's are professional thru and thru. They performed a detailed check and maintenance for a vehicle that had been in storage for years and got it approved for the IL State Vehicle Emmissions! Great Job!

I’ve taken my 1998 TJ to Thom’s twice now and every time they have been thorough, communicative and great to deal with. They know their stuff and I appreciate how they break the work down into what’s needed right now and what you should consider doing in the future. Great experience, we will be back!

Had a great experience here, customer service was great. I had to get something covered under warranty and they took care of it right away along with all the expenses. Very friendly too. I definitely recommend these guys to my friends looking for a mechanic

Greg and his team are the best! Very knowledgeable and trustworthy! They helped me finish my 3” rough country lift, did the alignment and got an old rusty bolt out that was stuck in the frame. They kept in contact with me every step of the way, never felt pressured. Will definitely be back with all my 4x4 needs and will keep recommending Thoms four wheel drive, they do great work at a honest price! No complaints

Typically don't do reviews but this interaction got me riled up. I have been in the home services and customer service industry for 25 years. This was one of the worst customer service and overall experience I have ever witnessed. I set up an appointment to have my vehicle looked at. I used their website / text platform to request information and to make an appointment. No reply. I went in person and scheduled an appointment and waited a week to have my vehicle looked at. I was told that it would be 1 - 2 days after the appointment to get to my vehicle and let me know pricing. 4 days after dropping off the vehicle later still no communication. I went by their shop about 40 mins before closing time on the 4th day to check in and get an update. There was no one in the office area to help or answer questions. Shop might have been busy or they needed to step out or use the bathroom. I then called and left a message asking to be called back. No Reply or call. Following Week still no communication. Went again in person and was able to finally get ahold of someone to get my vehicle back. I was told someone was "supposed to call me". I got a few vague notes on what they found. No pricing or options. Only 2 of the 5 things that I asked to be looked at were even looked at or discussed. Extremely disappointing. I have a project vehicle that I am looking to update and upgrade. Literally have money burning in my pocket and can't even get a quote. The Operating Partner apologized for the interaction and told me he would get me pricing on the few things that they found. No Quote. A complete waste of my time. Below is an update for my review above. I updated my rating to reflect the entire interaction. I have received an estimate for what they were able to review on my vehicle as well as several follow up calls and texts. Communication after my initial review vastly improved. The Estimates are very well executed with pictures my vehicle / issues and videos where applicable. On the items that they were able to get to it was very clear what issues that they found. The estimates are texted to you and service options and pricing is included. Greg has consistently followed up and communicated by text and phone call professionally after my initial interaction and is exactly the service I was hoping to receive when I first started. I have not moved forward with any repair at this time but will update if and when.

I want to give a personal Thank You to Greg at Thom’s Four Wheel Drive! His honesty and reassurance on repairing my 2013 Ford Focus was superb. He literally walk me through every repair process and even advised me on financial options I didn’t even know existed. It soooo refreshing to have upstanding mechanics like Greg and his team. I would highly recommend them above all because they’re going to properly evaluate what car repairs are needed for you vehicle.

Took my 2006 Lexus GX to Thom's to diagnose a steering and alignment issue. The car's problem wasn't immediately clear and the team at the shop went above and beyond the call of duty to identify and fix the issue (even taking time to look at the engine mounts!). Fair pricing and knowledgeable team with great customer service. Couldn't recommend enough.

I’ve been going to Thom’s Four Wheel Drive for 30 years. Why? Two reasons: the main one is that I trust them. Also, they help me keep my car running well so that it lasts longer! Also Thom, Greg And Lindsey are friendly. And take time to talk and catch up on life’s goings on. That may seem like a little thing, but it’s icing on the cake!
