Jose and Liam at Thunderbolt Auto are two of the most knowledgeable, professional, qualified, and pleasant humans I have encountered in all my experiences in life with regards to the auto repair business. They were both extremely thorough, explained everything in detail, including some things I wasn't even aware of, and set all expectations up front with no surprises. Also the pricing of the work necessary was beyond fair. I enjoyed the experience, which is not something many can say after having auto-work done 😁 After picking up my car, the quality of the work completed was stellar. I have always went to the Lexus dealership to have my car serviced, but I will forever be going to Thunderbolt Auto from here forward. Don't pass this local business up for your auto repair needs!

I have been meaning to write this review for a couple of months to share my great experience at Thunderbolt. I was looking to purchase a used Volvo s60 and being someone who doesn't know much about cars, I wanted to have the car looked over by a professional before moving forward with a decision. I received such great service, very fair quotes on what may need to done, had the vehicle thoroughly looked over and the gentleman who helped me did a great job explaining what was going with the car.

I love Jose and Leah! I've been going to him for my vehicle since they were in Garfield Heights. He is very knowledgeable, they work with you and they are really caring people. They aren't in the business for money, they care about quality work! I never let anyone else touch my car. You will not be disappointed with the work done here.

I was told by a different car mechanic to go to Jose, because he would be good for our handicapped full size Ford van. He could not have been more right. Jose has helped us multiple times now with different things that needed to be fixed. He has made Time for us even when his schedule was busy, and this last time he even stayed late to finish the job because he knew the urgency of us to have our van back. He explains everything he finds wrong and is always willing to answer any questions we have. Jose is so easy to work with, and so honest about everything! We could not be happier and more appreciative for all of his hard work!

Just thought I would put this recommendation out there to locals. I’ve lived in Cleveland Heights about 5 1/2 years now, and have been going to the same mechanic for a while. He was close to home and seemed pretty upfront and pricing was reasonable, but he was always so overbooked that things took a long time and deadlines were often missed. On a recommendation from another person, I started dealing with thunderbolt auto care. They are located on Noble Road just north of the spot where Warrensville Center and Noble come together, north of Mayfield. They are on the east side of the street. I could not be happier with this change. I have been over there a couple times now, and the experience has been consistent and positive. Jose is knowledgeable, he is considerate of time, and unbelievably transparent. I’ve never had any mechanic take the time to help me understand both what the problem was and what the solution was. Dealing with him, and Liam in the office, have been a true pleasure. Definitely my new go to mechanic.

Worst business ever. My car smelled like gas and oil when I left the shop, and when I called to tell Jose, he said he couldn’t check my car because he was too busy. Also he was very rude when he spoke to me. I took my car to another shop because the smell was so bad we couldn’t take it. Turns out Jose left the cap off the oil and it has spilled all over my battery and engine. It could have blown up and killed me and the girl I nanny.

Did a great job replacing my valve cover gasket! Inspected car very thoroughly. His patience making sure I was satisfied was really great! Even wants me to come back afterwards to make sure leak is fully stopped with dye test!

If I could give Thunderbolt a 6/5 I would. Jose and Lee are amazing to work with and among the kindest professionals I've met. It is often said a good mechanic is hard to come by, and a trustworthy one next to impossible. That said, I wholeheartedly believe I found the impossible with Thunderbolt. Jose will take the time not only to show you what is wrong with your vehicle, he will also teach you about it and let you know the urgency of each item. Add to that they are extremely forthcoming as to what items can wait or will need attention down the line, and your best options for each case. Jose and Lee are knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy and kind - and I don't think you can ask for more from anyone. They understand people, their time, and their budget. If you need work done on your car and want amazing service with the added benefit of supporting a local business, I can't think of one better than Thunderbolt.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am So frustrated with this company. I was told to bring my car in for a diagnostic 2 days ago. Yesterday after 6pm and calling multiple times I was told that due to other issues, my car wasn’t looked at. But Josie would come in early this morning to do the diagnostic and I would get a call by noon. At 12:30 I had to call several times only to find out Josie isn’t there due to illness. I was told I can come pick up my car and bring it in another time. I have 7 kids with school jobs activities as well as My husband and I and all that we have going On. To go 2 days with no car was an extreme hassle especially when you’re under the assumption that this process wouldn’t take 2 days. I’m so disappointed and upset. Now I’m going to pick up my car and try to find another shop to do a diagnostic. Thanks for nothing

Amazing. Jose found the reason our car battery kept failing even though we replaced the battery several times over 2 years and even we had another auto repair shop (before we learned of Thunderbolt Auto Care) do several complete electrical inspections to find the cause of repeated new batteries not holding a charge.

Awesome experience. Will definitely go back, José was a great mechanic and he helped me make an informed decision about a suv I was planning to buy. He was honest and very knowledgeable and walked us through the entire inspection. Didn't get a car but I did find an amazing mechanic that I plan on going to for any future repairs.

José and Leah are the very best. They truly care and explain things in as much detail as you may need. It's not always a great experience dealing with auto mechanics, but with them and their shops it is. For convenience, it was better for me when they were in Garfield Heights. I will gladly do the time and distance to have the piece of mind that comes from their care. Best wishes on their new place. Update 06/19, still the best, and the pup is a delight!

We have had exceptional service with Thunderbolt Auto Care. They do wonderful work and stand by it. When a part that was replaced on our Escape turned out to be faulty they fixed us up again in no time. They always patiently explain what needs to be done on my car in detail, helping even a true novice like me understand what is going on. I'll never take my cars anywhere else. Honest, fair prices, and best in the business! Would give extra stars if I could.

Mr. Hollis is the only mechanic I trust. He has replaced my windshield and worked on my brakes. I am always happy with the work that he has done.
