About a year ago they changed AC on my husbands’ honda civic, claimed it was new parts and everything charged over $1500. It blew out less than a year later, smoke started coming out of the hood, had to call AAA, tow it to a mechanic, upon inspection- the parts were not new and in fact on it’s last leg. Despicable to lie and put others life in danger. Do not trust them, they use faulty/secondhand parts!! Adding: they now claim my review is false. They never said anything about warranty, and the fact is the parts they claimed to change broke after a year putting our family’s life in danger and causing us another $2k for tow and fix.

The only reason I give them 3 stars is base on a recent experience. My passengers side parking lights was out. It seems water was entering it and I had to change the whole assembly light. I went there feeling confident as one time I had taken my car for what I consider a much bigger issue and the owner who checked me in called me that it would be about $268, I thought perfect. So I felt this shouldn’t be that expensive. The owner was not in, they had a young guy, who per our conversation had just started working there 3 months ago. I ask if he could bring the mechanic to come see what I will probably need. At first he hesitated until I insisted. The mechanic came out , a friendly soft spoken Asian man and said yes they can do that. I went back in with the young man, he started looking on line, than told me with parts and service $868! Now the young guy is not Asian, so no confusion in what I heard. Plus I repeated the quote, if I had heard wrong he would’ve corrected me. I told him “ No. “ I headed to the Montalvo Brothers ( highly recommend) they told me they couldn’t do that, but gave me advice. I order the part it was all under $200.00. I don’t want to give bad reviews to Tokyo Auto Service, but I need them to be aware that I do not trust the young man they recently hire, perhaps he just needs better training.

I just purchased a Toyota that I've always wanted, they gave me a diagnosis and a list of maintenance that the truck needed, I'm confident that this will be a great relationship with this shop going forward with the life of my vehicle. They showed me everything they listed. I wish I would have found them earlier, during the purchase of the vehicle 👍

Tokyo Auto Service has been fixing and maintaining our 3 cars for a few years. We love Twan and his family. They are experienced, honest, and thorough. We are very thankful we have found a mechanic we can trust in Orlando. If you're thinking about purchasing a new/used car, ask him the best year and model before you buy. He also does a vehicle inspection on a car you're considering purchasing or have recently purchased. Excellent service, affordable pricing and peace of mind👍👍👍

I took my 2005 Honda Civic here for some repairs on my radiator and suspension. Was looking for an honest personable mechanic that could keep my car going. I found that here with the guys at Tokyo Auto Service. I recommend giving them a chance, I have been happy with their service.

Took my 8th gen civic in for some vibration issues from my throttle body. I drove the car with the mechanic while I explained the issue. A few hours later I got a call back and I was good to go. Vibrations gone. Throttle response felt like new again. Also got my transmission fluid changed here. Haven't had any problems since. Owner was professional, courteous, and knows Japanese cars. If you need quality service at a reasonable value, I recommend Tokyo Auto.

I have never been disappointed with the honesty and quality of service. If your Honda, Acura, Toyota, Lexus needs service this is the place to go. These are great cars that deserve TLC as they age and need maintenance. You can go here and not worry as a knowledgeable, qualified master mechanic will take care of you and your car. Customer service is great. Don't be put off by the building's appearance, inside waiting area is clean and neat.

My Infiniti is out of warranty. If it wasn't for this shop I would have to take the bus to work or UBER. I took my car to another auto body and they were going to charge me twice as much as this shop did. Also, knowing that I am a single woman they cleaned my headlights because they cared about my personal safety. They aren't going to rip you off because you don't know anything. They will even take you in the shop and show you the problem and defective parts on your car. So if you have a car out of warranty check them out. They were a blessing to me.

Very trustworthy! Amazing work at reasonable prices. ------------------------------------------ Updating my review for 2019 since it's been years - Yes, I still use them and they're still fantastic. Honestly, these guys are super trustworthy and do fantastic work at a totally reasonable price. If you don't need something they'll tell you so. Car maintenance is extremely under appreciated and having a trustworthy mechanic is critical; if you have a Japanese import (honda, toyota, subaru, etc...) then these are the guys to use. I even call them before I buy a new vehicle to get their opinion from a mechanic's perspective.

Cam the owner makes sure that you will get the best parts needed for your car at a fair price my car has survived road trips, crashes, blown engines, busted lights etc. All thanks to Cam.
