Super good people here. Had some pretty bad engine problems, these guys worked with me the entire time, even helping me select an engine and r4ally just having clear consistent communication. Only shop I'll be working with in the City.

Excellent customer service. Very helpful. Didn't try to oversell me. Just told me what was needed and what I should expect later. I've found my shop!

Always honest and transparent, never pushy. They will work with you to figure out a plan which suits your needs/circumstances, and provide clear timelines. I really appreciate that this place exists, and hope they stick around, much love!

Shawn is a class act. He was too busy to work on my bike so he took it to another shop himself.

I'm pretty picky. I like these guys and their work.

Tokyo Moto is a rare thing. A business that cares just as much about being a caretaker of its community as it does being a business. Put simply the team here will treat you with respect, fairly, and do fantastic work.

I've been coming here for 8+ years and it's incredible. They service my 2009 Buddy 150. Quick, great prices, super honest, never try to upsell you, really good work. Everything you'd want in a shop. Highly recommend!

These people, those who are thieves, called them to see how much they would charge me to charge a battery and those who are ursereros charged me $250

(no rating) it's more of a repair shop than a dealer, as the selection is tiny, I mean about 15 bikes total! Mostly sporty boy's bikes (ew), maybe a scooter or two (kymco, paggio), and a few touring (Kawasaki w750).

Great people good prices support your local small business

I used to like this shop. I’ve always brought my wheels and new tires in to be mounted and balanced for a fixed fee of about $35 per wheel. Today I did the same except that I got charged hourly instead for 0.6 hr @ $133/hr. Which came up to $80 to mount a single tire (wheel brought in). How do you go from $35 to $80?

MOST HONEST MOTORCYCLE SHOP IN SF! * Shawn has literally turned down business from me on 3 separate occasions because it wasn't necessary. A mechanic shop turning down $ for the sake of Honesty. For context, I am a beginner rider and have come into the shop 3 distinct times, convinced that my bike needed repairs and fully ready to hand over $ to get the issue fixed. And on all 3 occasions Shawn and his mechanic explained to me that the issue didn't require service or $. Shawn has always explained everything clearly to me and NEVER made me feel like an idiot no matter how basic my questions. He goes above and beyond to help his customers and always done it with the utmost level of professionalism.

AMAZING 11/10!!! This place is seriously hella amazing. I've been to multiple motorcycle shops around the Bay and none come even close to Shawn's shop. The customer service skills are above and beyond, real friendly staff and owner, and hella helpful and considerate. They know their stuff and will even work with you if you need that extra help. If you're looking for a motorcycle shop that you can trust, look no further because Tokyo Moto SF is the best motorcycle shop I've ever been to.

Great motorcycle shop. Mechanics and owner are all super knowledgeable and friendly, and they stand by their work. I'll be coming back when it's time to trade my current moto in for some more power.

This was my absolute favorite place to take my bikes while I lived in SF. As a new rider I learned so much from everyone who worked here. Definitely miss you guys!

WOW! These guys are so nice! I got my handlebar grips, oil and tires changes done. Initially, I called CalSpeed Moto and that tech was probably the rudest guy I'd ever spoken to. I would NOT recommend going there. When I called ToMo I spoke to Sean and explained that I had stripped the bolt of my bar end. He was super nice and very understanding of my situation and patiently explained that sometimes these are a pain to remove on newer bikes and was very upfront about the cost. I decided to go through it anyway and the job ended up costing less than he originally quoted. Sean also told me that I needed new tires and showed me the amount of tread I had left. He told me it wasn't safe to ride on and suggested taking a Lyft home to think about moving forward with the service. I shopped around for some tires and it turns out that ToMo is very competitive with their pricing and will match online sellers like Revzilla and Cyclegear. Cyclegear will mount and balance tires but you need to unmount the wheels and bring them in yourself. Anyways I'm very glad I went with ToMo and I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone I know!

I love these guys. They are on of the best shops in SF. Great work, decent prices, and phenomenal customer service. I've had all kinds of things done here and they never let me down.

I want to love this place but I need to be honest to help others make a better choice. I brought my Suzuki GXS-R for service. I was very specific with Malcolm about getting the motorcycle tuned up and ready to be sold. The chain was extremity lose; that was the main reason for me to bring it in. I said tighten the chain, check the front tire for leaks and and do a tune up. The tune up was the icing in the cake. I received a phone call to let me know that they were advising to replace the chain and the front tire. However, he failed to tell me that the chain could not be adjusted anymore. He never asked what I wanted to do; that’s what a mechanic is suppose to do. The tune up or the chain or both. The front tire was low on air because I had not used the bike in a while but it is in good condition. I assumed the chain had been tighten and that it would have to eventually replaced. I take the bike home, and realized the chain had not been tighten at all. It absolutely needed to be replaced. That the screws that hold the seat in place were missing and my rear brakes were completely gone. To me, a tuneup is a general basic inspection of a vehicle. The fact that all of these was missed, that I wasn’t advised about either the screws, the breaks snd Instead I was being upsold a front tire that I didn’t need, is very disappointing. I haven’t worked in 10 months and I said that to Malcom a couple of times. A good honest mechanic would have screwed the seat in place. He would have most definitely advice to replace the chain and explain why. This is an absolute safety issue as opposed to the tune up. He would have given me the choice before doing anything and he would most definitely would have advised about the rear breaks as they can be checked by touch and without having to test ride the bike. I was basically charged $130 for an oil change that took 15 minutes and that I could have done my self. I called back and instead of rectifying the problem, I was involved in a pointless argument. I was ultimately offered 10% in parts and 10% in labor. Not sure why he would break it up like that but that’s 10% of the total. I am not coming back and would not recommend.

I've been taking my bike to these guys for the past 8 years and they're awesome. Their work is solid, staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and after a few visits you get the feeling the owner really loves motorcycles and trying to do the absolute best for the people who come to his shop. Can't say enough good things about these guys, they've definitely gone the extra mile more than once for me and I wouldn't think of going to another shop.

Every time I go, they have the friendliest staff! Great service, highly recommend. They take responsibility and accountability over their work, above and beyond
