I've known Tom since high school and would highly recommend getting your car worked on here. Tom always backs up his work. He also has an excellent team of talented mechanics and workers that get the job done quickly, efficiently, and right the first time. Also, his shop is always meticulously clean, which is a representation of the work he does on his customers cars. I would highly recommend taking any of your car needs to Tom Bess automotive to get your car fixed right the first and last time.

I’ve been coming to Tom Bess for years! My dad brought all his cars here and I’ve followed suit. Tom and his wife are sweet and witty and they’ve taken care of 4 of our family’s vehicles. Lil changes, inspections, and more all at a reasonable price. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Trust me local guide here. This place sucks they physically uprooted my life. They caused me to bankrupt loose my job and alot of things. Gave them 3k to replace my engine and they either sealed the heads and ripped me off or were to carless to notice the temperature gage was broke. THIS IS A REAL REVIEW this really happened. Why would you hire them knowing they do this and why would Joe smo me bother writing this of it wasn't true * i hired another mechanic to put a new engine in it been about a year. We shall see if its a man made error or "just a bad car" took it to another mechanic got it running no problem right the first time and he towed it too for only 1000 bucks. I think he even fixed the door that they put off track jacking it up

I have always been a bit weary about mechanics and as there were some serious issues with my Equinox, I needed a reliable trustworthy mechanic. I eventually called Tom Bess on Mcklind and left my car with them at 8.30am today Feb 8. Judging by the car issues, I assumed it may have taken 2-3 days but by 3.pm the same day it was done. Prior to the service, the staff called me with an update on what I needed and full charge explanation for the jobs. No pressure either way. I felt very comfortable with their professional approach and reasonable realistic prices and happily decided to go ahead. My car now runs smoothly and those issues have disappeared. I even received some useful advise on maintenance to avoid unnecessary future expenses. I will definitely go back to Tom Bess. I realise there are mixed reviews but I have received top service by well experienced people. Thank you.

AVOID!!! DISHONEST STORE!! Went for an inspection and was told I need my rear brake pads changed and they failed me. Talked to my regular mechanic who reminded me we had changed them less than 30K miles ago, took a quick look and said they were fine. Had it reinspected by someone else who passed me. They tried to cheat me out of $250 so I wouldn’t trust them with anything, if they can’t even be honest about an inspection.

Tom did nice work on my Monti Carlo. I chose to use used parts from the salvage yard of lessor quality. He honored his warranty until we found a good motor. Even threw in a free crank sensor at no charge .Good honest quality mechanic highly recommendable
