Very professional and they went above and beyond to answer any questions I had regarding my 2011 Kia Forte. They were flexible with the scheduling which allowed me to drop it off during me lunch and pick it up after work. I 100% recommend.

I have had overall positive experiences with the Lafayette location in the past and recently came to the Walnut Creek location for the first time for brake issues on my 2011 Honda Accord. I called the shop in the afternoon, and was given an appointment the following morning. The brake inspection was no charge, and Yuki was able to thoroughly walk me through what it would entail. They called shortly after dropping the car off and walked me through all the work that was recommended. I had a lot of questions and Yuki was very patient with me and gave me all the right information I wanted to know. The work was completed by the middle of the day, the price was reasonable, and they never tried to up sell me on anything I didn’t need. Also, my brakes feel amazing now. I own 3 Japanese cars that are all 10-15 years old and I plan to start taking them all here from now on.

I highly recommend this shop. Thank you Enrique, Kevin, staff and team of best mechanics in Bay Area! This team is top notch in technical skills on highly complex mechanical and electronic components of my suburban I’m restoring. They diagnosed and expertly addressed all issues on a timely fashion at a very reasonable price. I very much appreciate their 5-star professionalism, work and communication. We will certainly take all our cars there.

I’ve never been so heavily price-gouged in my life. $700.00 for a inspection and valve cover gasket is akin to robbery. If anyone asks me whether or not to go to Top Shop I will certainly and passionately tell them not to. I’m only giving 1 star because I can’t give zero.

Front office is friendly and communicates well. Kevin found a new aftermarket trunk latch for my Scion xB for $200 less. The part was installed quickly and professionally. I highly recommend Top Shop!

Top Shop has top notch mechanics & the new facility is gorgeous. A mechanic at a different shop said my timing belt was out ruining my engine, however I towed it to Top Shop & it was just a starter, which saved my car. Top Shop came to the rescue with a cape on!

Top Shop was highly recommended to me by several friends. They installed custom built leaf springs for F-250 truck camper which dramatically improved the truck’s suspension compliance. Excellent work by Top Shop I can wholeheartedly recommend them!

Appts within days, great comms and updates on my project, friendly and knowledgeable staff, relentless perseverance to chase down a quirky issue in my 1st gen 4Runner, trustworthy recommendations on what “could” be replaced versus what “should” be replaced, and competitive prices. A shop that can manage every day repairs and maintenance on your daily, while also being able to tackle enthusiast vehicles like mine. I usually find the type of vehicles on the lifts and in the parking-lot are a pretty good gauge of the shops quality and clientele, and this shop is stacked with automotive enthusiasm. 100% would recommend and will be back.

I keep having really positive experiences with Top Shop Auto Repair. They have been servicing my Jeep Liberty for years now. They are professional, affordable and patient with me. They always provide me with a detailed estimate of work that needs completing and then walk me through it all, explaining it to me and helping me prioritize the work, and then doing excellent work every time. They also added a text-based customer communication system which is so much more effective for me, since it is not easy for me to call them during my work day. I am a very happy repeat customer and highly recommend their services.

I cannot speak highly enough of Top Shop. Frank and co are awesome - they tackled the complete overhaul of my 1968 Mustang, performing an engine bay cleanup, full transmission conversion from auto to manual, EFI conversion, suspension, brakes... basically everything mechanical in the car. The result is phenomenal, I could not be happier with it. The level of service throughout the project has been excellent, with regular communication and personalized care.

I have a late 60's Mercury which has an aftermarket transmission, fuel injection and other electrical components. The fuel injection system had been temperamental, there were drivetrain issues and a handful of other electrical headaches. I had been to several shops in the area over the last few years, but none were able to sort it out. Top Shop got my fuel injection sorted out, re-did the wiring and helped with some flexplate issues to get me back on the road. They have the expertise to work on older cars that don't spit out error codes and a working knowledge of how aftermarket components from different manufacturers mesh together. Prices were fair and there were no surprises. Service and communication were top notch. I'm sure I'll be back be back, but hopefully not any time soon!

These guys replaced a broken tail light on my 2024 Kia Telluride. Not only were they $200 cheaper than the dealership but it took them only 40 mins! Highly recommend.

This was my first visit and Top Shop was recommended by another shop as they are one of the only shops that still work on vintage cars in my area. I made an appointment on the phone that was convenient for me. I arrived on time and they were ready and I pulled right into the shop. I was then able to speak directly with the technician who was going to work on my 1970 K-10 truck air conditioner and having 40 years of experience in the hvac world myself I could tell he knew what he was talking about and felt confident when I left. Two hours later the truck was ready, the bill was reasonable and the AC was blowing cold! Great 1st experience! Update:AC is still cooling!😎

Excellent experience with Top Shop Auto ! I have a 56 Ford F-100 and they are the only ones that will be working on it from now on! They Diagnosed and fixed an issue with the charging system as well as Diagnosing and fixing why the brakes / rotors were locking up. Very efficient/ honest and reasonable! Keep me informed via text which I LOVED!! Lots of things I want to do with this truck and I will be taking it to Top Shop Auto for it all! Update 7/30/24. Once again had some additional work done on the 56 ford truck.. all hardware replaced on interior doors ( window cranks, regulators , door handles) new rear view mirror / added tailgate chains / repaired bench seat that would not lock in position. Top Shop did an excellent job!! They found all the parts and installed! Kept me up to date on order and got the job done fast once the parts came in ! Very happy with Top Shop!! Another great experience at Top Shop on 9/20. Truck in for oil pressure check . Got that done plus they told me about and fixed a coolant leek I didn’t even know I had. This is a great place !!!

Top Shop Auto has serious expertise for care and maintenance of a ton of car types including Land Cruisers, Lexus LX570s and other off road (and on road) vehicles. They won’t be the least expensive but if you care about long term quality care of a vehicle, they’re a great choice. And yes, I am an actual reviewer. Just took my Lexus GX460 there for a basic oil change and transmission fluid drain and fill.

My little red Honda Insight is 18 years young; and I have this little gem taken care of by all the wonderful folks who work at Top Shop Auto! Every six months I bring the car in for a check up and/or work that is scheduled to be done. You can depend on excellent, dependable care for your car, fair pricing, and friendly service! You will not be disappointed ...they always replace parts with original Honda, Toyota, etc parts... this auto repair shop is built on honesty and integrity ....... so grateful to Frank and all his talented team!

Overall a good shop with good communication. Transparent about what is going to be done. I acknowledge that I accepted the price updates along the way and paid the invoice while seeing the prices they were quoting. In retrospect these prices are a little high. Was hoping this would be my go to shop for my Landcruiser but after having them do something fairly simple balloon up to over $1k the shop rate is just too much for me to return. They replaced a seat belt buckle and spliced in a pig tail for the seat position sensor. Curious to see what the hourly is. To be honest though i'm more in the wrong than they are for letting them continue at the prices they were giving me. At some point I should have just decided to do this myself or taken somewhere else due to cost. To wrap up, they did a good job, had good, service and I cant really knock the quality or staff, its truly just a lot for what in the end was about 200 dollars in parts and taking a seat out/soldering some wiring. So assuming they spent 3 hours with the car soldering the connector plus seat belt would be like 300 an hour shop rate?
