Edit - 8 years later. I moved to the east side of town (Pataskala). Back in Feb 2024 - I was doing errands and my battery light turned on. Ugh - I wanted to bring it to Tuffy but I wasn't sure if it would make it (die on 270). So, I took it to a NTB on East Broad street (near me). They said the alternator was bad. It took them 2 days to not only install another bad alternator - but damage my car in the process. So, I brought to Mike at Tuffy and we found out NTB caused over $2200 in damage (they damaged my hood, damaged my battery, scratched the radiator and air conditioning coil). And on top of that I had to get a new alternator. I TRUST MIKE. I should have towed it to his shop. Now, I have to contact NTB to try to get my $500 back. You can trust the guys at Tuffy. They know what they are doing. I still have my now 20 year old Honda CRV and Mike/Tuffy is keeping her running. *** Three Years Later - and I am still going to this Tuffy. They do everything they can to quickly repair my CRV (yes I still have my 2004 CRV). Mykel (and his mechanics) have done an excellent job keeping my girl running and will probably get her to last a couple of more years. You CAN trust these guys. --- They have become my new mechanics. I came to them almost a month ago with serious problems (like my 2004 CRV was sitting on the frame ugh). They took their time showing me the problems, explaining what needed done right away and how to solve a few other problems on my own. Mykel worked with me on the price. I felt like they were honest mechanics. It is sooo much better then it was a few years ago. Mykel has turned this shop around and is doing a good job with customer service. He wants you to be a customer for life. If do you end up going to this shop - tell them "Marlo (a friend of Mal)" sent you.

Gary Householder post. I’ve known the owner, Mike, of this Tuffy for several years and have had my vehicles serviced,repaired and rebuilt. Nothing but First Class workmanship throughout my experiences with this Tuffy owner and mechanics. I highly recommend them

They make an appointment 2 weeks out saying they don’t have anything available sooner. Then when you get there, they say there is no appointment in the system and you will have to wait 6-8 hours to get something simple done as a wheel alignment. Absolutely ridiculous. Please do not go to any Tuffy Tire, especially this one.

Owner Mike Rives puts on a show about his customers are his family but is actually a scam artist. Blatantly lied to me about my brakes being completely worn out and that all of my shocks and struts were broken. I have proof from Germain Ford that all of that was untrue from an inspection performed earlier the same day. Got scammed for $3300 because I believed his lies. Do not go here if you care about having an honest mechanic and your money. Don’t fall for the free oil changes or supposed lower prices to lure you in. Once you car is on the lift he will find non existent problems. I repeat go somewhere else.

Said I needed brakes I don't. They wanted 2 k for a strut, 2 rear springs, and a brake job that I didn't need! for 1k I got a strut 2 rear springs, and all wheel alignment. Don't go here!!!

Well despite having to spend a lot of money, but a WHOLE lot less than what the other places were about to charge. I actually enjoyed this place the owner at the desk is really friendly and personable, told him the situation, he looked at the car gave me the options with 0.00 sales pressure. They fixed my car and it runs a lot better, but what really made a difference was he asked me to bring the car back in a month so he can look at his workmanship and make sure everything is still good. That makes a difference to me shows me this place takes pride in what they do...thanks for fixing my 2014 Chevy Cruise!! See you again for sure

I was from out of town for the Goodguys Car Show. 1968 Cadillac broke a U-Joint on a friday at 6pm. I wnet to three (3) service stations and all refused to assist. Contact Tuffy, they stayed late to get my car, and had it fixed first thing the following morning. The owner was fantastic, i would highly recommend anyone attached to Goodguys or even those that are not to use this service. I do not possess the vocabulary to express how they saved the day and did a great job, 6 stars for sure

Scam artist. You’ll take your car in for something simple. Maybe brakes. You’ll go back for something else and he’ll do something for free… maybe an oil change or replace a small part, because “he takes care of family”. I had this happen. Third or fourth time I needed a tire replaced or repaired. Took care of it for no charge but told me I needed new tires and new brakes and rotors. Ok no big deal, I got my other brakes and rotors replaced. But then I remembered I just bought new tires about 18 months ago. Literally no way I need new tires. Took my car to a buddy and we looked at my brakes. Nothing even needed replaced, but turned out when he gave me the free oil change and fluid check, nobody looked at the brake fluid, and the reservoir was empty. Long story short he scammed me out of 2k, and then tried to get me again buying parts and services I didn’t need. If you go here, know your stuff, and make sure what he’s telling you got done actually got done.

I should have known better when one of his previous mechanics came in to talk to his buddies a few minutes, and the owner started trash talking the employee really badly the moment he left. Unprofessional GO ELSEWHERE, NOT THIS DUMP THAT PREYS ON YOU NOT KNOWING ANYTHING. This dealer will talk very sweetly to shmooze you, but will charge 30% to 55% more than other dealers. His hook is he lowballs himself. He'll say, "That will cost $400- $800" when other machanics are saying $550. You think you might save but then he charges you $800 'like I said it would be.' He won't even ask you what brand of aftermarket parts you want.

I've been taking our cars to this Tuffy location for more than 15 years. They do everything from oil changes to body work and more. Fully comprehensive servicing at great prices. I'll continue to take our cars here as long as Mike is in business or until I'm too old to drive!

If you are someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars or are a woman I would think twice everyone was very polite but they told me my car would be 5000$ worth of repairs when I took it to my OG mechanic (who is further away which is why I chose this one) and they told me it was an entirely different problem and would be closer to 1600 also said it looks like my transmission has never been flushed out which I know for a fact that is not true. Proceed with caution and get a second opinion.

Mr. Perry came to our shop with no appointment which is ok because he could not predict his belt failure. How ever he was upset we could not get him in right away due to the fact we had 12 cars ahead of him. I personally apologized to him that we were sorry but we were in fact booked for the next 3 days. I also said that belts don't usually just break that the tensioner or idler pully sometimes cause the belt to come off. we didn't even look at the vehicle he had it towed out. I'm sorry he and his Mercedes were unsatisfied but we cannot put him in front of the customers who had appointments.

AC quit working in my KIA, they diagnosed the issue and order the part. By noon the following day I had air. Great staff and the owner was personable and helpful.

I usally do the work on my cat myself. The owner and the mechanics were very knowledgable and broke down the issues on my daughyers car to three catagories. Absolute needs down now, can wait till she had the money and things they would like to finish off. They inssisted on the safety of the car and even went above and beyond to make it affordable for her in intervals. Things Mike and gang for keeping my family safe when I could not.

I went to this Tuffy to get my alignment done. Anthony did an amazing job on my car and fixed it right up. He was really nice and professional. I didn't talk to the rest of the crew that much but seemed alright. Overall was a good place to get my car fixed.
