Okay so this review is over due.. but I needed brakes on my car. Called them up, spoke to Shawn and we made it all happen without even meeting. We work the same hours so the after hours drop off was great. He did great at communicating (they even text) and before you know it I had my car back. They do honest work here, I got my brakes before the flooding and that other storm we had earlier this year and my car handled like it always does. I would recommend them and I’ll be using them in the future if I need anything else.

Just had a great experience at Tune Craft! I’m new to the area. After reading great reviews about Tune Craft and Shawn (the owner), I decided to bring my car in for a brake inspection and possible brake service. Shawn informed me that I still had plenty of life left on my brakes. Other shops may have tried to take advantage of the situation, however Shawn was completely honest about the inspection results. On top of that, there was no charge for the inspection. I am so glad that I found Tune Craft. I will be back for any future service needs.

Perfect Service. Got me in 4 days faster than anyone else I called. Personable and very friendly service. Got the job done quick and very inexpensive. I came in for a window that was off track and opening like a Lamborghini door... LOL. It now works as good as new. They got me in and out and for about 1/3 of the price I expected to pay !

Was fortunate enough to have the check engine lights turn on with a concerning amount of white smoke coming from the hood direct across the street from this autoshop (it turned out to be the radiator, which had to be completely replaced, an issue that occurred in the past. A total loss of coolant as well). Very nice people, as an Autistic individual with problems talking to people, they were very respectful and informative without needing me to state otherwise, both through call and text, invoices were speedy and notified of change, i thoroughly enjoyed this experience as it was my first major car problem. Prices were rather respectable considering the severity, I would tip if i had the capacity to do so, i was surprised and glad that there was no fee for overnight parking, one reason why i would recommend this place, for any neurodivergent individuals these are the kind of people these people that are able to help, due to the good reviews (4.7 out of 5 as of this review) it is apparent that they are often busy, but they are still able to get the job done in a quick and orderly fashion. As a final course of action, they recommended what other steps to take to ensure the maintenance of my vehicle. Personally this was a very positive experience and i will return to them if possible. We have been taking our vehicles to Tune Craft for years and he is literally the most honest mechanic I’ve ever met. We recently took our car to another local shop for an oil change and it was a terrible experience. The get you to their facility only to bait and switch you and attempt to charge over $1500 to replace the transmission. We declined and took it to Shawn at TC and he replaced the clutch only for $675 and took care of the oil change. He will tell you frankly what needs to be done and not try to upsell you like other shops. We now have 3 cars we have them service and encourage all our friends to utilize him as well. If your vehicle needs maintenance don’t delay and go see Shawn, you won’t be disappointed.

So happy we found Tune Craft! As many have said, Shawn and his crew are great! We've had a lot of bad luck with our cars lately and he's not only repaired them but fixed what other shops had not. Tune Craft fixed and cleaned what another shop in west El Cajon had done. Couldn't be happier!

Super friendly staff and fast service. Mechanic(s) is very honest and will tell you exactly what is up with your car, they won't try and sell you extra work or parts just to make money. Will be back again the next time my car needs a check up.

The BEST in San Diego. I have been going here for years to get my car tuned up. Today I popped a tire on those horrible potholes on Clairemont drive, and immediately pulled in. Once I have my spare, the very kindly fit me into their very busy day, replace the tire with the spare, all for free! They are incredibly kind, have candy for their customers, and a great attitude. I recommend them to EVERYONE!

This is the best auto repair place ever!! We have had repairs done on on our 2 cars over many years and are never disappointed in any way. Shawn and his crew know autos and trucks. 100% Honest and Service Oriented since 1994 when I first took my vehicle to Shawn Meyers at Tunecraft at Clairemont Drive and Balboa Avenue. All those years and many vehicles later, Shawn and his team continue with excellent service, great expertise, honesty and fairness. Quite something in this day and age! I pretty much always deal with Shawn when I come in. We've had both my wife and my vehicles repaired within the last month. This is the place to go without a doubt. Honest, open and very clear on what repairs are needed. They don't squeeze you for a bunch of things that you don't need but they do let you know what should be looked at in the future. I truly appreciate the confidence I have in their work as we are frequently on the road and I don't have to worry if the repairs were done right. Thanks again guys we'll see you next time.

Worst shop I’ve ever been in San Diego ! Really rude person at the door pretended to charge 155$ then charged 1,500 to fix the air he is a scammer for sure what a horrible experience !
