I have given them the benefit of the doubt because they're very close to my house but today was very upsetting, I went in for a check engine light that was on my chevy cobalt Saturday and they called and i went over to see and they told me that they would need to replace the fuse box after (they) broke a fuse but they wouldn't be able to look for one till Monday. Monday came around and they called and told me that it would cost $380 for part and labor and it would be ready today Wednesday. Today the owner called and told me( I )would have to order the part from ebay, like dude what y'all been doing since Monday and why was I not told about this till today when I was supposed to pick up my car. I usually don't get upset but today I was up there and to top it off when I picked up my car because I told him I would just pick up. There's no point of it being there any longer since they aren't doing any work on it, his wife is charges me $80 for the the check of the car and the owner is no where to be seen. In my opinion this was very unprofessional, the lack of communication.

They were able to put in an entire transmission in a couple days AND had the CHEAPEST quote of all the mechanics I called. Absolute professionals and great service. Highly recommended.

Brought my car in to have the front brakes changed using parts I acquired online. Price was very reasonable and quick service. He also looked at my front suspension and made recommendation on I need to replace soon. Definitely recommend to others who needs work done on their car.

This is an excellent place of business, quality work and fair pricing. Unlike your Big Name auto shops. They get in and get you back into your vehicle without looking for other things to charge you for that's not broken. I highly recommend them, you won't regret it.

This is the neighborhood spot, I’ve gone here for years. The work is hit or miss, to be expected tbh. The prices reflect that. My biggest issue, and the reason I won’t be bringing my business here anymore, is the way they straight up denied wrongdoing when they agreed to patch a hole in a *new tire. They couldn’t get it off the rim, ripped and tore the tire up, “patched” it, and then couldn’t get it back on the rim. Asked if I had a spare, which I did, and they put that on and gave me my rim and tire (separately) back to me. Further inspection revealed they scratched the rim up too. I had to buy a brand new tire. The saving grace in all this is that, a few days later (spongebob meme), I came back and got them to pay for a new tire, wrote me a check for 200$ on the spot. This took awhile though, he bold faced lied to me saying that it was like that when I brought it in, he wanted to split the cost, told me to file an insurance claim etc. I said you want me to get insurance to come in here to vet the work you do? He wrote the check after that. Anyways, an oil change is about all I would get done here. I want to support local businesses but when the guy tried to lie about the shotty work, that did it for me, there’s too many shops in the area and I can’t justify coming back knowing other places won’t try to swindle me. ✌🏽

RUN!!! First time here, lesson learn when you tell them what you think the issue is know that they WILL NOT confirmed if that’s the actual issue. They are going to fix what you said and charge you for it if your car is fixed or not. I was charged $$$ for the labor job for something that didn’t need repair that I thought did and the main issue still didn’t work and charged for a engine light test $100 even through I didn’t ask for a test I ask them to fix Whateva the light was on for and it wasn’t, not even a clue as to why things not working or direction to repairing the concerns I came in for and owner didn’t care nor did he have sympathy. I sat in the freezer box for 5 hours & They fixed NOTHING AT ALL The one star is only for Amy the lady at the front desk she was more of a help than anyone here.

Twin lens has been servicing my granddaughter's car for a few years. They do an excellent job, and stand behind their service. If anything is questionable they will fix it until agreed upon work is satisfactory.

Had to get a wheel alignment because I just got new tires. Always saw this place because I'm local but this was my first time here. They checked my car out and stated I needed new struts. It definitely made sense due to the age of my car and me never having them changed. They got them done in a good amount of time and a Great price! Friendly Staff. Will be back for my wheel alignment for sure.

I had a wonderful experience here! Our catalytic converter was stolen, so we had our car taken to this auto repair shop. They had the car fixed and the converter replaced the same day, and they worked until 8pm to see it done. A wonderful Godly couple running the store and I could not emphasize more how reasonable, meticulous, and nice they are. I definitely will be coming here for regular car check ups in the future.

Ming was great! What an HONEST & reasonably priced mechanic. I was told by another mechanic at a different shop my timing chain was about to go out and I would need it fixed the cost would be $3500. so I called around and found Ming. He quoted me $1000 less than the other shop, but that’s not the best part! The best part is I didn’t need a timing chain, I only needed a water pump! Ming diagnosed my car and told me what the real issue was a water pump! The catch with the other mechanic is when you replace a timing chain on certain vehicles you also have to change the water pump, the other place was definitely trying to take advantage of me! NOT MING he got me in the same day and my car was returned the next day!. Ill definitely use Ming at Twin Lens moving forward. Definitely a hidden gem in McKinley Park.

My 2016 Jeep Cherokee was mis-fire for one year. I visited 2-3 shops in New York City (where I current live) and no one can diagnose the issue since then. I went back to Chicago last week to visit my friend. The mechanic helped me to find out the mis-fire reasons and repair it in 3 hours. I feel my car like a brand new now.
