To the untrained eye it would be easy to think this is just a gas station with a couple of smog test bays... But au contraire! This is a full fledged auto repair shop and boy are they good! My mother's 1994 Dodge Intrepid had begun to run very rough and the idle speed was getting dangerously high. On top of that the wipers mechanism broke, and you can't live in SF without wipers for the fog! I live a few blocks from this station and noticed they repair a lot of cars. I looked them up here on Yelp and saw great reviews so I asked Ken the mechanic If he'd work on my mom's old car, he enthusiastically said yes. Ken and his crew diagnosed the problems to a leaking intake manifold and bad plug wires. The manifold was a real challenge because after 25 years the bolts were rusted stuck, but they got them extracted and fixed everything. Great attention to detail like putting in a fresh thermostat while the top of the engine was off. I just picked the car up and it runs like the day my late father bought it, so smooth and lots of torque again with the idle back down where it belongs. They did a fabulous job! And Ken was great at calling me and letting me know the progress and costs, which were very reasonable. They're very friendly, enthusiastic and brilliant at repairing cars, even cantankerous old ones! Take your car here first and have Ken take a look at it, you won't be disappointed. I know about fixing cars having done my own car repairs for 40+ years on Ford's to Ferrari's, so trust me when I say Ken and crew are top notch!

I live just around the corner from Twin Peaks Auto Care which made me suspicious about this little auto shop on the corner — by the size of the place, it looks like they couldn't handle anything more than an oil change. To say I was pleasantly surprised with their capabilities would be an understatement. I was most pleased by their attention to detail and shocked at the "no upsell" attitude. I took #BettyWhite, my faithful companion of 18 years, a Toyota Echo, there for some much-needed attention. She needed a tune up, oil change, updated water pump, belt replacements, right mudflap repair, the brakes were "making noise", and the rear-upper brake light needed a new bulb. Ken, who appears to manage the shop as well as being one of their capable mechanics, capably delivered on all the above. In addition, he was willing to re-examine/adjust the car with minor tweaks after the initial repair. (One of the belts was squeaking and needed adjustment.) I'm content that I found a #reliable and #affordable #mechanic in my neighborhood. #TwinPeaksAutoCare

I see a lot of good reviews about this shop and took my car to repair the flat tire around 4 pm today, I asked do you guys fix flat tires and the guy working there said No without looking at it. Let me know the reason I may change my mind.

This place is the best in the city for sure fastest turn around time and most convenient location in the heart of the city. Can go to glen park and or twin peaks during your car check up. Ken is a master mechanic

Absolutely trustworthy repair shop with fair prices. Ken will not sell or fix something that is not broken. I got my car back with 0 charge because there was nothing broken…- very fair and always timely

Did an excellent job checking out my car before a long road trip! Really was thorough and honest and got my Mini Cooper in great shape. First time I’ve had the actual price was lower than the quoted price because the light he fixed was cheaper than the one he expected.

Owner Alex is a super salesman, talks really fast and was nice at first. He turned on me when he thought I was pulling his leg when it was one of his employees that did not send the information. He also got mad when I held him to the price he had quoted me. He is an extremly stressed person. I lost confidence in him after he told me he looked at the exterior and it was perfect and then sends pictures with the back bumper had been hit and needs to be repainted. Since I was buying sight unseen I felt uncomfortable. I believe he has a tendency to over sell his cars, not that I believe it was a bad car. I wound up buying the same model car where the salesman talked normally and didn't over sell his car this transaction moved quickly without it being necessary to talk to the salesman dozens of times. When dealing with Alex get it in writing when he gives you a quote or tells you something. He might forget because he is so busy. He does know his cars.
