Randy has been doing great work on my 2008 Lexus for about 4 years now and has always been able to help out when I’m in a pinch. He repaired my rear differential, brake pads and rotors in October 2020 and they have held up well ever since. He recently fixed a bad water pump and bearings and was able to complete the job quickly with OEM parts. I’ve found his prices to be fair, and he is transparent and willing to answer any questions. I will continue to go back to Randy at University Auto for future repairs.

I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. I brought my cars here for years. They grossly overcharge on parts and constantly make excuses instead of owning up to mistakes. It took them a month to fix my partner's windshield wipers. NEVER coming back!

I was sold a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze in May of 2020, allegedly in top condition. He was a shop owner so i trusted him being that I was a pregnant single mother. Randi sold me a car that HE KNEW had a bad engine and was leaking oil. Randi is a horrible person! no one should bring their cars to him for repair after seeing all the other bad reviews that he has on here for negligent car repairs he should be shut down! A liar! A thief and a scam artist! Horrible horrible person you are Randi!

He put breaks on my van all the way around ....after driving 30 miles my break are grinding....he cannot not find time to give me an appointment to have him look at it... actually after about 4 days of being put off he told..." Take it someplace else" ....so if you want terrible work that they do not stand behind ..this is the place...I see he responded to this 7 months after his work. And he did supply all the parts with the exception of front break pads...stay away from this place unless you want bad work and over priced.

I came on short notice to get my splash shield repaired after it suddenly fell off yesterday. Kevin was able to help quickly and get me on my way soon after getting to the shop. I recommend coming to Kevin!

I hate to be a debbie downer, and I never leave bad reviews. But in addition to generally treating me like I didn't know anything about cars, this place put the wrong filter on my car when I got an oil change. My motor could have blown on me. Oil was everywhere and almost none was left in my tank. Midas is right down the street and will explain to you thoroughly what is going on in your car while offering a 10% student discount ❤️

They wanted to charge me 400$ for something I ended up doing myself, which was my caliper came unlodged and got stuck between the rotor and tire they also made me pay 89$ just to take it off their jack granted this was a few years ago but that is just atrocious behavior from a company

Unfortunately zero stars is not an option. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this shop. The owner overcharged me, and lied repeatedly after causing damage to my vehicles safety system with his poor work. The only good part of the experience was knowing that I will never go back there, and I hope that this review will dissuade anyone else from giving money to this weasel. *follow-up after his reply: I found a much better shop in the area that 1: was honest and upfront 2: told me that he almost certainly caused the damage, and 3: that he overcharged everything “this guy took advantage of you.” Also, his reply is typical arguing in circles, deflecting the blame, which he did during my repeated phone calls to attempt to get him to fix the damage he caused. Please trust the multiple negative reviews, cause it is that bad.

Great establishment with quick and good quality service! The splash guard on the underside of my car was hanging and scraping the ground when I drove. Helped me right away and then fixed it up for me within under 20 minutes! Super nice guy, he didn’t even charge me. Will definitely be returning for any future car services!

I was in a pinch when I thought my power steering was going out. The mechanic got me in quickly to take a look at my car. I really think I trust him and would go back in the future. Also, local and easy to build a relationship and he took time to explain things

Needed a tire plug so I called and they were able to get me in right away- I was there 20 minutes total. Very nice and helpful, even got a 10% UC student discount. It’s great to find an auto place where you feel safe and respected as a college-aged girl. Definitely would recommend!

I took my car desperately to get fixed my driver side wheel locked up on me as I was ubering so I called the nearest mechanic he sounded welcoming and willing to help soon as I got the car through the doors wasn’t even 10 minutes before I got a bill of 700$ for a hub baring that costs 150$ and less than a hours labor work . I paid it picked up the truck drove to work that same day still a rate long very scary noise thought my wheel was going to fall off as I was driving to work I was so scared but didn’t want to lose my job hoping I can make it back to the shop the next day so he can actually fix the problem I paid him for I called him only for him to say it’s not something he fixed probably something else blah blah blah took it to him he found out it was a heat loose shield whatever that is and fixed the problem if I was a weak in educated person he would of walked all over me I do not suggest this place to anyone he’s over priced he cheats people always has his garage doors closed so you can’t even see what there doing to your car very shady place and very racist when I took the track back for him to check it out his African American mechanic started slamming my wheels to the flood being very harsh and tough with what I worked and work very hard for because of his slip up I’m going to call the better Better Business Bureau invade this review isn’t enough to save the next person a headache and life threatening services

As struggling broke college student, it disgusts me to think about the $1600 they charged me for a bad repair. Not only did they fail to fix the problem, but they charged me another $250 for a follow up. Two weeks and $1850 later I will be taking my car elsewhere to get the EXACT SAME problem fixed. They know nothing about cars here. PLEASE don’t make the same mistake I made. Spare yourself the gray hairs, tears, and sleepless nights. Take your car somewhere else.

I am so happy I ran across this auto repair shop when I did. My car had been giving me this message that had me confused and freaking out. It kept cutting off, and I didn’t know what was wrong with it. Fortunately, I called and spoke to Randy. He told me to bring it in for a free diagnosis, I dropped it off. A hour later they told me what was wrong, and I gave them the okay to fix it. 3 hrs later I picked my car up, and the problem was fixed. I would highly recommend them!

I called and Randy told me to come in right away. Dropped my car off to replace the oil tank plug and he did and changed my oil as well. He called me not even an hour later and I picked it up. Quick, easy and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend

I only changed my car brake line that should average 200-400$ at max yet they charged a hefty overprice for there service 800+ just for that I would definitely ask anybody who see this go somewhere else you will be ripped out of cash of there for an easy fix

They plugged my tire after I requested to have it replaced, then the tire was flat again not even 7 days later. I paid for over $800 worth of services and my car still doesn't work because of the very reason I came to this place in the beginning. I spent all my savings, missed 2 days of work, spent hundreds of dollars on ubers, and now I have to come up with another$100 to change out my tire today. All I wanted was someplace I could trust to do the whole job the first time. I wouldn't be so upset if I hadn't specifically requested that the tire be replaced on the phone call before I paid to have my car towed to the shop. I told them I drive 100 miles a day, I told them the tires were old. When I picked up the car I was not told that I would need to service that tire. I would've paid whatever the cost to make sure I didn't have to be back within two months. Unfortunately now due to the missed work and ubers and rent being due, I am officially broke with no car. Hopefully my boss will understand.

Went here for air conditioning and to place new rear arm for wiper blades and ended up in two trips. They placed the wiper blade upside down and did not receive a discount for that, nor for working at UC as was advertised. I went here because of the 4 star rating and was kind of disappointed. However, friendly desk experience.

I cannot even begin to say how fabulous this shop is!! I called them because my truck started misfiring while I was towing my horse to Kentucky. Being far from home with a horse in the trailer I was in full panic mode. Randy was not only calm and helpful, but he helped me trouble shoot where to go so I wouldn't get stuck with my rig and wouldn't have to unhook the trailer. They had my truck fixed quickly and my horse and I back on the road. While they could have used my moment of desperation to gauge the price, it was actually very reasonable. To cap off this fabulous experience, they even helped me back up the trailer and watched traffic to make sure I could get on the street without issue. Then they called me after I was back on the freeway to make sure the truck was running well. These guys are beyond great mechanics, they are good people.

I needed a tire put on. But I really needed it. Walked my tire and rim over, not too far. Was dealing with this all day. Broke. Couldn't pay to mount it. So I walk there, explain myself. The man looked at the situation. Just helped me out. Completely helped me out and made my day. Thanks to him I have a ride to work tmw. A job for that matter. Which in hand pays for my classes. I don't like handouts and no one should. But, its the complete respect that was gained. Another person helping someone else. This place has these types of people. People that will actually help ya out, but also provide quality and fast work. Thanks again man! Made my freaking day

University Auto Service replaced my Catalytic converter a few months ago, and it ran great! Unfortunately it went bad again not long after, but they replaced it again for free, and did further research, finding that the o2 converter was the cause, which they also replaced for free! Can't recommend this place enough, the people here are very generous and do a thorough job - the next time my car acts up, I know where I'm taking it back to! (University Auto Service!)
