This was the best mechanic experience I’ve had in my life. David was really thorough and friendly, I could tell he actually cared about me. He printed out a diagram of my exhaust and showed me exactly what was going on, what my options were, and explained everything in a way i could understand. Highly recommend this place

Urban Classics is a one-of-a-kind automobile repair and maintenance (with a FOCUS on maintenance) shop. Every single individual at UC is customer service and problem solving oriented. It’s a rare NYC business. The location is also convenient for dropping off and picking up a vehicle, with the G train around the corner at Bedford & Nostrand. Keeping a car in NYC is a challenge, but this team makes it possible!

Walking in for the first time I didn’t know what to expect. I met the owner David who stopped everything to help me. I left my car (2013 Audi A8L)there for a week. Needed major suspension work. I got update’s regularly 😊hourly rates saved me $3000. 00 of what it wood have cost at the dealer. Max the specialist was very professional,and overall the staff were very polite and friendly. Can’t say enough about urban classics auto service. I highly recommend there service. Adding to my review. Two weeks after getting my car back from Urban Classics I’ve gotten two calls out the blue asking me how my car is running. First of all who does this? not even car dealerships. What is this place? Is this NY city? I don’t doubt if I get another call because I told them I had only driven my car once since having it back, because I went vacation. Can’t say enough about this place. Thanks again Once again I can’t say enough about the owner (David) and his staff. Urban is a very welcoming business. I’ve never been there and not been greeted with a warm smile. hands down the best shop in the area. everyone there is professional, knowledgable, friendly and communicative. the owner david is very approachable (and pretty much always right there- not hidden away in a private office) and on more than one occasion has personally helped me out with a problem on the spot. can’t say enough good things about this place. there’s cheaper options but you 10000000000000000% get what you pay for in this industry, and what you’re paying for is a top notch shop that does fantastic work on an excellent timeline, does not cut corners, keeps their promises, and makes me want to come back. will never bring my car anywhere else. thanks everyone!

Urban Classics has a new customer for life! I brought my car in to get checked out because I was hearing a chirping sound from inside the vehicle, assuming it was probably the serpentine belt needing replaced. I got a call the next day letting me know that the mechanics did a thorough check of my car and everything was in immaculate shape! Great news to hear being that I bought this car used about a month ago and no charge since there was no necessary repairs needing to be done on my car. I genuinely appreciated the honesty and swift communication from the Urban Classics team, and feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders knowing that there is a place I can trust to bring my car in Brooklyn and not be exploited into unnecessary repairs. Thank you again and I will recommend y’all to everyone I know :)

Very unhappy. I dropped off my car on Wednesday afternoon and told him exactly what I needed done and that I needed it for the weekend then Friday at 11am I had to call them to find out what’s going on. they tell me they will call me right back, so I wait for three hours for that phone call, then I call them back at 2 PM in order to hear they can do nothing for me. Super frustrating.

I've been a customer since the late '90s. I've gone to to a good number of shops in the NYC area and Urban Classics is and continues to be the best by far. David, the owner, is the best example of what customer-service should be, which is a unicorn these days in the auto-repair industry. They have serviced my (vintage) BMWs, Audis, Ford Van, etc.

If I could give this shop ZERO stars I would! They’re scammers and they should not be partnered with AAA.. they charge over 500 dollars for a diagnostic check without any work and still can’t tell you what’s wrong with your car! SCAMMERS! Thank god I got my car out of there!!!

After my local mechanic's building was sold to make way for more Brooklyn condos, a friend recommended Urban Classics, who turned out to be way better than my previous mechanic. Straightforward, knowledgable, friendly and communicative (a rarity in garage-land), and no upselling! They talked everything through with me, told me the price and texted me regularly on the status of repairs. Fair price, excellent service - so happy to have found my new repair shop!
