Edit: Came back with a different vehicle today. Entirely different crew and this crew is working with a passion, smiling and getting cars through! Just about the same amount of cars in line and got through in 30 minutes!!! Employees more interested in standing around and chatting than doing work. 2 cars in front of us, it took an hour and a half to get an oil change.

I went in for an oil change a few months ago and I was there for over an hour, not including the wait time. Then they did not put my skid plate on correctly and I was driving down the highway and it came off part of the way. They did send someone from the shop to come put it back on temporarily so I could drive so that was nice and the person that came was very nice and helpful. But maybe don’t have a person who doesn’t know what they’re doing try to put the skid guard back on.

We arrived and there was 3 lines open. Same girl came out to check lights hoping to expedite service and arranged all the cars in even lines. For some reason 4-6 cars that arrived after us were serviced first. The car infringe of us complained and that’s is how we started to move forward and get service.

Great people but if you want a QUICK oil change go somewhere else people use this like a service station so if you are 2 cars behind it may take hours waiting in your car due to the other service requests that people in-front of you have.

I came here for an oil change not long ago. I ended up caving into one of the add on services I did not intend on getting originally. I got my tires rotated. Unfortunately while on a road trip I found out my lug nuts were not tightened properly and put me in a very dangerous situation. I was at risk of my wheel coming off while driving down a highway. The mechanic that helped me charged me 0 dollars because all he had to do was tighten them and my car went from wobbling and shaking like crazy to driving like normal in less than 10 minutes. Thankfully I was not in any accident but no thanks to this location. i would never recommend this to anyone and i have never left a bad review but due to the sheer danger I was put in from this service was astonishing.

I went in for an oil change on 12-19-2024. From the time leading up to my arrival, I had no problems at all starting my car. They had my hood up for about 45 minutes testing my battery and getting distracted and coming back a long time later. From the time I left, the car really struggled to start every time for days until it eventually just went completely dead, and needs an jump to start and management is unwilling to do anything to resolve the matter. It's about time for my oil change, so I opened the hood to check the dipstick and found my oil cooler had been cracked from too much torque, and oil leaking out of the reservoir. A $40-odd oil change wound up costing me over ten times that amount.

On Dec 28, 2024, I went in for a coolant top off, and the tech recommended doing a radiator flush. When I drove the car to my next destination it was squeaking and knocking sounds. Then the whole steering wheel became stiff and liquid and smoke coming from under the hood. I have a claim in currently but out of a car because of the neglect work done.

Today I took our car in for an oil change, and it's a place I'll definitely keep going to. The person working on my car explained everything really well; unfortunately car stuff always goes over my head. Excellent service as always, even when they're busy. Once it was done I got a smile and a wave on my way out. I totally recommend this shop!

I specifically requested that my transmission fluid be checked. The staff informed me they could only do so if my car had a dipstick. They proceeded to claim that my vehicle did not have one, which was incorrect—I know my car well, and it does indeed have a dipstick. This miscommunication not only caused frustration but also undermined my confidence in their expertise. Being in the army.. I was met with a dismissive and condescending attitude when I inquired about combining a military discount with a coupon I found online. They told me no and I completely understood and was okay with that. It was the way I was spoken to that ruined the visit. I asked for my tire pressure to be checked, which was a key reason I chose Valvoline for this visit. Usually, my tire pressure is checked during routine oil changes at many valvolines I’ve been at. However, after completing the oil change, the staff never mentioned that their equipment to check tire pressure was not working. This crucial information should have been communicated upfront instead of allowing me to wait unnecessarily. Tire pressure was an important concern for me, and failing to address it completely negated one of the primary reasons for my visit. Overall, not a good experience with the workers. I would not recommend this place.

Been here a few times for a couple of different vehicles and I've been pleased with the service. The techs here are friendly and professional and work quickly and carefully.

Ive been to this location one other time before today, but I suggested my Mom goes here to get a simple oil change before her drive to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. I went with her, and it was terrible. I regret suggesting this location to her. We pull in to Bay 2’s line at 1:50 pm, there are two cars in each line. One of the workers told us to stay in Lane 2 as it would be the fastest. We were there for over an hour and several cars in both lanes got out before us, we didn’t leave until 3:08 pm. Randall which Im assuming is the manager, pulled a kid with a mullet outside to yell at him in front of all the cars with their windows rolled down. Several people had to be escorted to the bathrooms due to the wait times. When we finally pull into the bay. A kid named Luis was servicing our car. Again, all we had was an oil change. After we watched him put the new oil in, he walked away and disappeared for a solid 7 minutes. Randall then asks “Where is Luis” and he shows back up saying that he lost his water bottle? The only thing we were waiting on to leave in those 7 minutes was for Luis to put our hood down. I would rather make the drive to the Boardwalk location, their service is much more reliable.

Due to them trying to get car out on time, (15-20 minutes is what the tech told me) i had to ask to get my air filter, fluids and air pressure in tires checked. I saw the car next to me enter and leave without getting this service

Terrible customer service from Randall the manager. If you want your car to be out of commission for weeks because of an issue they caused but will take no responsibility for then this is your place. Also, they let the manager (Randal) who was responsible for letting my wife drive her car home after they cracked her oil pan at the drain plug from over tightening do the investigation on the claim! When she returned to the store after seeing a puddle of oil in our driveway, Randall said she must have caused the damage herself. She drives a 2014 Mercedes and they are supposed to siphon the oil but instead they went against procedure and used the drain plug. There is no documentation ever of any damage to the drain plug prior but 30 minutes after driving in for an oil change we are left with a $2300 bill to fix a crack they caused. Needless to say he cleared the claim and found no fault with anything they did. So we had to initiate another claim. Randall was so unprofessional he even mentioned he was upset that day because he had to take over this problem store and just found out he didn’t get the promotion he was hoping for. I CAN’T IMAGINE WHY!!!

I showed up shortly after 2:30pm. There was a vehicle in each of the three bays, and one vehicle parked behind each of them waiting. I parked behind bay three. An employee came and asked me to move to bay one as the one vehicle waiting was moving into the bay. I was told it would be about twenty minutes before I was helped. At about 3:20pm, two people in bays two and three were pulled in to be helped that showed up at least twenty minutes after me. I got out and asked how much longer it would be. I was told two minutes. Approximately ten minutes later, I watched them sell the person in front of me an air filter and begin to install it. I left. Not the first time I’ve had a similar experience at that location. Terrible service. I won’t be coming back to any valvoline locations. I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Unless you want to sit for an hour & 20 min do not go here! Absolutely unprofessional! Brad one of the workers insisted on “sitting on the hood of my car” while talking to other employees! He did get told to get off my hood nicely. He then proceeded to fiddle with latch that closed my hood constantly while waiting for the oil to change! The manager there on duty looked completely strung out on drugs, couldn’t attach my new wipers, couldn’t keep eye contact, was slurring his words! I couldn’t even catch his name! They were doing all this wild stuff while “training” another employee! Well this employee never even got to see what was going on because all they did was talked the entire time about what school they went to & if he did this an that! & “oh yea we can vape in here!” I was super frustrated at this point asked Brad what was the major hold up! & why nothing was being done to my vehicle! He proceeded to tell me they have one bay guy today! Okay well that makes much more sense but COMMUNICATION IS EVERYTHING to a customer who’s been waiting for almost 2 hours! I will be speaking to corporate! This is down right unacceptable! These are people’s cars you’re messing with! I will NOT RETURN HERE.
