My wife stopped in for a routine oil change at the 8601 Citadel Way (Stony Brook) location and they got halfway through the oil change and realized they didn't have the right filter to finish. They sent her to the 3820 S Hurstbourne Pkwy store and they started over and completed the oil change. Wife comes home parks in the driveway and goes about her day only to come out later to a pool of oil. She returned and the store and they "fixed" it for her and refunded her money. However ever since we've had a slow drip in the garage. I just took the car to the shop today and they said the oil pan was over tightened which cracked it causing the leak. $600 repair (and another oil change two weeks after the last). Thanks Valvoline for that lovely repair bill. We've never had a single drip of oil before this visit. What a joke of an experience this was. This four car family will finding a new place to give our business to. This was a multi-store incident so this will be posted at both places because I can't pinpoint which store deserves the blame if not both.

When I changed the oil, I checked to see if the drain cap was still there and it wasn't there. I went to complain and they assured me that they didn't remove it. I'm sure it was there. Now I have to buy a new cap. This has already happened to me in another store, but they did have it and they put it in. In this case, they assure me that they don't have it... I think they just don't want to put it in. I definitely won't go back to valvoline.

Everytime I come to this Valvoline location the staff has a positive attitude and present themselves professionally. They are always kind and go above and beyond when helping me out with any of my needs. It's great to have a place to go that you know will take care of what the problem is. I would definitely recommend coming to this location!

Came here for an oil change on Sunday 4/21/24. The next day when I was driving my car it has all of a sudden started smoking out of the back. Brought my car to the shop only to find out that Valvoline overfilled my oil by 2 quarts so now I have to get another oil change to fix the one they messed up.

Took about an hour and they got transfer case fluid on me through my window. Tech wasn’t paying attention and didn’t seem to know what he was doing. He splashed transfer case fluid on my arms, hands, legs, steering wheel, and side of my truck door. All on there cameras. The manager apologized after I asked about fluids on customers and what there policy was. She didn’t really answer and said Corporate would get ahold of me for the trouble. The clothes are trashed, and I haven’t heard anything from “corporate” it’s been 3 weeks. Never expected anything but after I was asked to leave a review, thought I would share. I’d still like to know Valvolines policy for fluids on customers.

Went to just get an oil change. But, since my car had 129,000 mi, when they suggested radiator flush and transmission fluid change I figured it was a good idea. However, that soon changed when they told me because of the configuration of car they couldn't do the radiator change. But, I continued on with the transmission fluid change. Now that it has been done I regret it because the shield on the bottom of the car underneath the engine was not reattached properly and so I had to return. After waiting approximately 20 minutes to get back into the bay they fiddled with it and said all good to go. Once I drove out I could tell that it wasn't. Missing two bolts in front that attaches it to the car. They say they tug and pull on it to make sure it's firmly attached but I can visibly see that it's not attached properly and they gave me the excuse of sometimes the bolts just work out but, it wasn't making all this noise when I brought it in and it was firmly attached beforehand all I got was I'm sorry that the best we can do. No Management on duty at the time but luckily I'm taking it into the Ford dealership and they are going to look at it. I would not recommend this place. I'm very disappointed in the service that I received especially after spending $300. Update...the next day I had a front tire flat. When I took it in to be repaired, I was told there was a screw in the inside sidewall and the tire and couldn't be repaired, it had to be replaced. I know when I was in the bay for the 3rd or 4th time getting problems they created, an employee who said he was next in line to be the assistant manager was the one who down under the car and was putting in screws to "fix" things...
